Erica Peale Design is a full service interior design firm offering homeowners interior and exterior solutions. I came to my career in design by way of an unlikely path. After graduating from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, I went on to hold advertising, web development, and management consulting positions. Project management, adhering to budgets, and interpreting clients needs proved to be the perfect training ground for my career in design. Now I use those skills on behalf of my clients as I manage their projects and create beautiful and functional interiors that fit their everyday lives. After building and designing our own home, I worked with a notable home builder helping clients select paint colors, lighting, and plumbing fixtures. Blending my personal experiences with my professional background, proved to be a pivotal time for me to focus on my own style and design aesthetic. This put me on the path to launch Erica Peale Design. My approach is a true collaboration between designer and client, understanding priorities and lifestyle, and providing my clients with a personal, and functional design individual to their family. Providing full-service interior design, from concept to completion - I approach each project uniquely. With thoughtful input from clients, the scope can range from accessories and finishing touches to complete a space to full renovations and new construction. With completed projects in Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, as well as Connecticut, California, Florida, and New York my approach blends quality with budget saving pieces to help you obtain your design vision in a beautiful, efficient, and affordable way. I look forward to working with you!

I had an amazing experience working with Erica Peale Design on my living room design. Erica’s keen eye for detail, creative vision, and ability to blend aesthetics with functionality completely transformed the space. Erica is just a gem. We recently completed a whole house renovation, and Erica was there at each step of the process. She masterfully sorted out design issues that arose during construction and helped with the many, many selections we had to make-- plumbing fixtures, tile, paint colors (inside and out), lighting etc. Once we were in the house, Erica guided all of our decorating—furniture, window treatments rugs, you name it. She helped us stay true to our style and work within our budget. Erica just seems to know what we needed and when--and where to get it. We look forward to continuing our work together and highly recommend her to others. Kudos Erica!

We recently finished an ADU in Arlington - La Casita - and Erica Peale was the designer. I must say it was truly a pleasure working together. She has great taste and a keen eye for aesthetics. When homeowners choose a designer who's good at their job and who is easy to work with it adds such value to the project, allowing it to move along smoothly and efficiently. Erica is no joke, top notch! We moved into a beautiful new home and that same afternoon realized our couch just did not do it justice. I contacted Erica via Houzz that same day. We met at the end of that same week. She looked, listened, asked questions, and turned around a proposal that met our needs and recognized our priorities. COVID did not put the slightest delay in Erica's process!! We met virtually and decisions were made quickly. Furniture lay outs, furniture sourcing, rug selections, curtains, and a just-right stair runner have added beauty and comfort to our home. I know I can reach out to her at any time and get a smart reply. To have a partner that truly get's IT is a wonderful thing! Thank YOU, Erica!!

Erica was really helped me narrow down choices of what I wanted - we also did a lot of it remotely or via pictures and Pinterest. She asked me how I wanted to work with her (for me too many choices is overwhelming) and was very helpful in explaining the process and processed the details herself. It was nice not to do all the minutia of ordering, counting, waiting on shipping confirmations. Items just showed up! She and the contractor handled a lot of little things and involved me in big decisions or delays. The entire kitchen project was amazing! I can’t wait for Erica to help me again!!

Erica Peale puts that rare combination together of having a great eye for beautiful design and the personal touch of fitting it into your lifestyle, budget and personality. Erica and her associate Amy caught details of redecorating that I overlooked, inspired me to try new looks (that I love) and took painstaking care to make sure each item arrived safely, conveniently and timely. They took my feedback seriously and went to great effort to make sure that I was happy with the outcome. Most importantly, when they promised to do something for me, they were quick with the turn around and excellent at communicating updates. When my schedule got crazy and I was the one to put things on hold, however, they never pushed me for quick decisions or disappeared in the netherlands of non-communication just because I had slowed things up for a bit. I started with a room or two and will continue to have them work on many more rooms in my house. I've been in my house for almost 10 years and I can't believe the number of compliments I've received from guests just these past few weeks with the new look Erica gave me.

Commented: What are the living room measurements?Thanks so much. It's a long rec room space that we divided into two - one is what you see in the photo. I'd say it's about 17' wide by 15' deep. The other side of the room has a ping pong table.
