Sometimes things are meat to be. Evelyn Benetar walked into my life in 2008 from a reccomendation. Once can say I literally put my "home" into her hands. From the initial phases of facelifting our kitchen/great room area to a loft-like entertaining masterpiece, uniquly styled bedrooms, gameroom/family den and magnificent powder room. Evelyn has a style like no other. Her latest project in our home, entailed creating an elegant dining for hosting big holidays for friends and family. On deck is my work-office which will maintain a funky yet professional vibe. We could not love wirking with Evelyn more. She is truly top-notch!

I recently worked with Evelyn Benatar, who is based in Great Neck, NY. She not only came up with great design concepts for my downtown penthouse--she choose unique and stunning fixtures, fantastic paint colors and combined patterns and textures in a non cliche way. She also came up with great ideas to solve challenging space issues and met hard deadlines. Her attention to both technical and aesthetic detail is matched only by her delightful personality. She transformed my stuffy apartment in one month's time into one with a modern glam sensibility that was livable and comfortable for my husband and young children.

We hired Evelyn Benatar for a new construction project. She was amazing to work with and has a natural talent for design. Our home far exceeded our expectations. Evelyn is extremely professional and very on top of things. Building a new home is a very stressful job and I have to say she made it very easy with her quick decisions and keeping us on track. Evelyn's attention to detail and ability to put a room together is truly unbelievable. Our home is perfect thanks to her.

I hired Evelyn Benatar to complete the interior design of my apartment. She is knowledgeable, professional, creative and well respected in the industry. She listened to what I was looking for and expanded on my ideas with new and exciting design elements and resources. She has an amazing eye for color.....every time I had an appointment with her we had a list with goals in mind and she introduced me to new resources and we accomplished a tremendous amount with every appointment. She provided options at different price points for the same solution. She made it fun. She gave my project a flair and sharpness .......a totally finished look. I highly recommend her.

Evelyn uses her talent to provide clients the best in color, space and sophistication. Her artistry is manifested in her unique designs as she will work within a prescribed budget. In addition she is a lovely caring person and truly aims to please. I utilized Evelyn's talents recently to do a room walk through to advise us what existing furniture to utilize or not utilize. Her suggestions changed the entire look of each room in such a creative way to provide beauty to each space. Her recommendations were priceless.

As a professional also in the industry I have worked with Evelyn on many occasions, not only is she a pleasure to work with but very talented.

We have admired Evelyn’s work for some time based on work she has done for one of our closest friends. When the time came for us to start a truly unique project, we knew she was the only person that could make our vision a reality. We wanted throw out “old school” tradition and transform our formal living room into a usable bar and lounge. With full creative liberty at her disposal, Evelyn produced the most luxurious and sophisticated bar and lounge that could rival the best Manhattan hot spots. Her use of natural materials (a zinc bar counter top and a concrete cocktail table) and rich fabrics (mohair lounge chairs and wool window treatments) were a beautiful contrast coupled with a mix of contemporary fixtures (Remains Lighting Sorenson Pendants) and traditional appointments (tufted chairs with brass nail heads). To say that the room has exceeded our expectations is an understatement. We also tasked Evelyn with updating our Entryway. What she created was dramatic entrance that makes a bold statement with wood paneling two stories up, elegant moldings and gorgeous colors, not to mention the amazing runner and herringbone wood floors. Again, just well beyond what we anticipated. On a personal note, Evelyn is a pleasure to work with and just about as nice as they come. We look forward to many future projects and would reccomend her in a heartbeat!

I hesitated about renovating my Bedroom because its difficult for me to get around. Evelyn made the whole process easy and fun! She brought everything to me, gave me choices as well as her suggestions. I actually loved the whole process because I felt she was with me all the way! I LOVE my new Bedroom because Evelyn was able to determine exactly the feeling I was looking for!

Evelyn has been hired to completely decorate our 3 bedroom condo in NYC.. I cannot say enough about her esthetic, her detail to each and everything and her kind and patient demeanor. I will use her services over again and recommend Evelyn to all of my friends and family

We found Evelyn through NYDC and it was the best thing we ever did. She has been incredible to work with and has transformed our 2 bd apt into a wonderful luxurious home. She has impeccable taste/style and her knowledge of the industry is tremendous. My husband and I have different tastes (he is more traditional , I am more contemporary) but she was able to come up with solutions that were appealing to both of us and it worked ! We get so many compliments on our home all the time. Throughout the whole process she was professional , and trustworthy. She listened to what we wanted and executed accordingly while working within our budget. More importantly , she is such a sweet and wonderful person to be around, she even bought us a gift when we had our baby. I highly recommend her to everyone I know and I look forward to working with her on all our future projects.
