Evelyn (Leaf & Lake Design) came to my rescue after a pipe broke in my building, flooded my apartment and led to a full gut reno. Since I had to have work done, I decided to redo my kitchen at the same time. I was overwhelmed dealing with insurance, contractors, temporary housing etc and didn't have the bandwidth to think about redesigning my apartment, so I got in touch with Evelyn. Since we're not in the same location, I shared Pinterest boards to show my current furniture and style, shared photos of my place and sent her the floor plan. She used that information to create virtual design boards that gave me a great overview of her ideas. We then had a few calls to walk through her ideas and make just a few minor changes. After we finalized a plan, Evelyn was a lifesaver helping source materials and fixtures. She also had calls with my contractor to align on the finer details and he was extremely impressed with her knowledge and efficiency. Evelyn made what could have been a nightmare project SOOOO easy and fun. I ended up with a brand new floor to ceiling apartment and more importantly the kitchen I always wanted. I love, love, love my place and could not have done this without her! Do not hesitate to use Leaf & Lake Design even if you are remote. Evelyn has great tools to share ideas so you can easily visualize her concepts. She is also very easy to work with and makes sure she understands your design aesthetic. After many years in the home, I needed to make it more mine. Evelyn is a dream to work with. She helped me figure out my “style” and gave me as many options as I needed to finally decide. Evelyn from Leaf And Lake Design is a dream to work with. She is an excellent listener and worked to understand exactly what I wanted. She didn't try to lead me to her own preferences but worked with me on my own style. She was gentle in her suggestions but also explained why if something wouldn't work. She has a great eye for detail, and she saw aspects of my decorating to improve that I never saw myself. Probably the most difficult job for interior designers is to create a great design out of what the client already has. And that is what I basically asked of her. Evelyn accomplished that, of which I was very pleased. Sometimes the simpliest changes can make such a big difference. She helped give me confidence that I was on the right track after I recognized that I needed a professional to "hold my hand." She alleviated a lot of pressure that I had put on myself and gave me some wonderful ideas. Evelyn is friendly, easy to work with and obviously knows interior design. I would confidently recommend her for any interior design project.

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting and working with Evelyn from Leaf and Lake Design. Upon our first consultation, we went over our budget and what we had envisioned for furnishing and designing our four bedroom home. She literally took care of everything-design, including assembling furniture, cabinetry, T.V’s, games room, down to the kitchen supplies and toiletries. . It was turn key perfection ready!! At the time it seemed like an impossible time frame and task. She set up a very realistic expectation of what to expect and how we could potentially get it done. Soon after the consultation, the ball was immediately rolling and we could tell she knew exactly what we were looking for and how to bring our visions to life. It started by her sending us room by room design boards and renderings, it kept us completely involved in every step of the design process. She was truly able to capture what we envisioned down to every single detail. Now here we are sitting in our gorgeous designed and furnished home, feeling so incredibly thankful to Evelyn and the entire process with her. She is extremely talented and a sweetheart to boot!!!
