We knew Fernando for years before we ever met him, that is, through looking at his work and ideas in other people's houses. We were certainly very impressed with what he could do but we were also a bit intimidated. Surely he was beyond the 'plain vanilla' basics of our house and even perhaps our budget. Well, we met with him, and decided to move slowly and cautiously forward. Once Fernando started we quickly realized that we wanted, no, needed, his direct input and opinion in every room of our home. He turned our house into a warm and welcoming home, our bathrooms and kitchen into show places. To suggest he's a great designer is like saying MIchelangelo is a nice painter. Fernando's amazing design ability, astute architectural knowledge, ability to work well with contractors and suppliers and his familiarity with colors, home fixtures and furnishings make him an absolute necessity for anyone who wants to have a beautiful home that one can be proud of while maintaining ones sanity. Fernando can stay within most anyone's budget, but be warned, once you see what he's able to do for you, you will find yourself asking him things like 'well, all right, what can you do over here with this?' He is the consummate professional who has no problem with deadlines and maintaining working relationships. He is charming and affable yet always the professional.

My wife and I hired an architect and general contractor to design and build a completely new Spanish Mediterranean style house of approximately 3,500 sq. ft.in 2004. Knowing that we needed a design professional to guide us in developing and realizing a vision of a beautiful home, we hired Fernando Diaz even before any construction commenced. Fernando's guidance covered a broad range, including paint colors, cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom lay-outs, lighting, furniture, drapery hardware and fabrics, roof tiles, exterior stucco, granite countertops, hardwood and stone flooring, door hardware, French door styles, patio and balcony tiles, interior and exterior wrought iron design and window and fireplace placement. Fernando quickly became an integral and much-valued member of our team, working closely with the architect, general contractor and sub-contractors, and he was instrumental in solving a few construction-related issues that arose. We could not have found a better design resource than Fernando, and our completed beautiful home reflects his knowledge and expertise. He was wonderful to work with, being friendly and patient yet not shy about leading us in the right direction. We have remained friends with Fernando and highly recommend him.

Used Fernando Diaz & Associates for a Master Bedroom/Bathroom remodel. Aided me in every aspect of design; from layout, picking tile, draperies, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures... There is so much involved in a complete remodel and he had it down to a simple science. Fernando made the process stress free and enjoyable, I would highly recommend!
