Selena and Fitch Design Company gave us our dream kitchen and two dream bathrooms! When we lost our first builder she recommended our awesome current builder. I don’t know what we would have done without her! She helped us be creative but also kept to our budget. Our house is being complicated on time, on budget and so beautiful! Selena and her team were recommended to me by one of our employees since she had a great working relationship with them while working at a previous employer. As a remodeling contractor, one of the most difficult aspects of my job is getting clients to commit to a design and product selection that will not only look good, but also function well. I've worked with a number of design teams over the years, and while many have been great with client interactions and designing beautiful spaces, very few have the technical abilities to put together a full set of plans and specification that we can trust. For the last year we have utilized Fitch Design exclusively on our projects. Each project they have been involved with has been delivered more smoothly, and with significantly higher customer satisfaction. Fitch is a one-stop shop. Selena & her crew are the best ever, bar none, hands down, and whatever you need, you should hire them to do. Selena's taken my absolute Frankenstein monstrosity of a hundred-year-old house and made a beautifully designed, thoughtful, brilliant layout with detailed drawings for execution. She's been with me every step of the way. She warned me about my foundation before we started the project and got in over our heads, getting me in with a soils engineer as well as structural engineers to put together a plan for my foundation, then managed permitting for the foundation. She came to my rescue when my contractor quit without notice a month before I was scheduled to return and needed to have a house to move back into, connecting me with a construction company who was able to complete the work I needed immediately to be able to come home, which is no small task in a pandemic where you are competing with everyone else and their dog for construction services. She has at times played the role of designer, therapist, advisor, project manager, construction expert, and truly, a friend in the real meaning of the word. You won't find a more responsive, reliable, or competent person than Selena. I have had so many negative experiences with companies and individuals who have taken advantage of me, but Selena is as honest as the day is long and has always been in my corner. Thank you, Selena, for everything. You have a lifelong customer in me and I will refer everyone I know who could use your services to you.

We had a small job at our house in Lake Stevens that required a designer consult (picking out tile and finishes for a refresh). We felt a bit embarrassed at having to reach out for such an easy job but Selena was so wonderful and accommodating. She has such great taste and good insight into what types of finishes were best (for us). She made us feel very comfortable and at ease helping us with our job. We were able to get everything picked out in a nice, timeless cohesive look and get it to our contractor. We can't wait until everything is in and installed!!! I'd highly recommend Selena/Fitch & Company, if only for how great and easy she is to work with.

Selena and team are excellent. They are responsive, detail-oriented, professional and pleasant to work with. This was our first time hiring a designer and we’re so glad we did. Selena’s acumen in design is complemented by her impressive knowledge in renovations. She thinks very much like a contractor which helps ensure projects are feasible. Selena is also collaborative and made us feel comfortable by leading us when we needed help in making decisions but is also very open to feedback as she ensured our voice was heard throughout the process. Laura and Selena are both great to work with. Responsive, of course. More importantly (for us) was the creative input that was quick, and thoughtful. Selena caught on to why we were asking certain questions immediately. She has answers, or options, and also asked questions of us to clarify what we were going for. Our project is new home construction, as Owner/Builder, and have done this a few times already. Since we're not new to the process, we know our strengths and weaknesses. Selena and Laura filled in all of our weak spots--and were fun to work with to boot.

Selena and Laura were a pleasure to work with as we designed our remodel. We are remodeling our 1040s home which required creative ingenuity to develop a floorplan that included all the modern bells & whistles while maintaining the character of our home. Selena designed the remodel and did and fantastic job brining our visions to life with a plan. Timing and responsiveness was very good and the entire project took less time than I envisioned. Overall, job well done! I definitely recommend Soleil by Design for home remodel planning!!

Three words easily describe the experience we had with Soleil By Design: honest, quality and creative. Our designer knew how to look at the whole house for a coordinated, flow of design. Our finished home has a “whole look” from color choices to cabinet, flooring and lighting, yet each room is uniquely designed to feel independent of the other rooms. We were surprised by how much input we had in all the choices we needed to make. Ellie has such a professional and personal way of interviewing that she “pulls out” the essentials of what we love in style, patterns and colors. From there she helped us choose each room’s required elements. In addition to the obvious design demands in building a home, she was so valuable as a “go-between” us and the builder. It was clear to us that she has an excellent rapport with builders. She was diligent in coordinating with the contractor, overseeing the project and able to correct errors or as needed, literally demand that “it be done as the owners have in their design plan”. We are cost-conscious, but when the house was completed we knew we had actually saved money by hiring Soleil By Design. We highly recommend this company.

This project turned out amazing. Emma did an amazing job working with the available spaces. the house is transformed and yet still has the original charming aspects. It would not have happened without Emma's listening, creativity and applying design discipline. The design is great and then she coached us through selecting the finishes. Which was just the right amount...not to many options and not to few choices. The end result is just phenomenal.

Ellie and her team are consummate design professionals. I've done four projects with her over the past 10 or 12 years. In all four cases, we asked Ellie to completely redesign multiple rooms- removing walls, combining rooms and adding rooms where none existed. The results have been stunning in both their functionality and also in their beautiful and elegant finishes. She worked closely with us to understand our tastes and our lifestyles, then designed spaces to make our lives even better. In all cases, when questions came up with the contractors, we directed them to Ellie, who guided the projects with an eye for the most minute details, something we appreciated greatly. It almost became a joke...when a contractor or sub suggested a change to the plans, we would say, "Get approval from Ellie", to which they just rolled their eyes and stuck with the plan. Perfect! She plans her work to painstaking detail, then sets about making sure our shared vision came true. We trust her implicitly and can't imagine working with anyone else.

Our firm has been working with Soleil By Design on a number of different projects over the course of the last (2) years. The entire team led by principal (Ellie Baker) exemplifies the highest level of design execution in the industry. The design work was excellent, but this was not a successful project overall. Due to the unacceptably (and unexpectedly) high design cost, I terminated the work prior to project completion. Product sample delivery to me was delayed, resulting in much of the information becoming irrelevant - new materials had to be selected and ordered to keep the construction timeline. Impressive design talent; for my project, not a good value.
