A Costly Lesson - Hoping to Help Others Avoid This Mistake I don't typically leave reviews, but felt compelled to share this experience. This was my first Florida property, and I wanted a company that understood Airbnb turnkey renovations. The only positive here is the lesson learned. Most things in life are learning experiences rather than problems, so I hope this helps someone else avoid what we went through. Not a True "Turnkey" Service We hired Florida Furniture Packages through a referral to complete a turnkey Airbnb renovation. After spending over $52,000, I need to share what happened. Lack of Industry Knowledge Despite marketing themselves as Airbnb turnkey specialists, they showed no understanding of what property management companies provide. We spent thousands on bed sheets, towels, and soap dispensers that our management company already supplies. Any experienced operator would coordinate with the property manager upfront to avoid duplicate purchases. Red Flags They required full payment upfront before starting. Once they had our money, we had zero leverage when problems surfaced. Avoiding Transparency We repeatedly requested progress photos and got minimal updates. When photos finally came, it was only 4 pictures total. After seeing the property in person, it was clear why - they didn't want us seeing the mess before their crew left. Substandard Work I'm sharing just a few issues - we have extensive photos and email chains documenting more, but once we saw their response, it became pointless: Stickers left on furniture and fixtures throughout Painter's tape not removed from surfaces Poor cleanup overall Missing cookware set (their team took it for "another job") Blinds screwed into drywall without mounting brackets - days later they were hanging off walls Wrong side bunk bed - kids can't access the ladder due to nightstand blocking it Ceiling fan dangerously close to top bunk (major safety hazard) Wall screws with nothing mounted Zero Accountability After $52K+, their response to every issue was "we can fix it for more money." These were THEIR mistakes, not scope changes. They blamed timelines they set themselves. We explicitly said multiple times we didn't need it done before holidays - we wanted it done RIGHT. They rushed and delivered poor work. Additional Costs We hired other contractors to fix their mistakes and complete unfinished work. More unexpected costs and delays. Final Thoughts Florida Furniture Packages lacks the knowledge for true turnkey service, delivers substandard work, and takes no responsibility. We were acquiring additional properties and hoped to build an ongoing relationship, but after this, that's impossible. Find a contractor who truly understands the short-term rental business, coordinates with property managers, and stands behind their work. Learn from my expensive lesson.

We called a few companies before hiring Florida Furniture Packages. We only needed a couple of rooms upgraded, and they were more than happy to help us. Thanks to them, my home looks better than ever before. There was no sales pitch, and it was really easy to get started. They are by far the best company I've worked with.

We have done a couple of houses with Florida Furniture Packages and the process has always been great. the first home that we did with them was roughly 2 years ago and the house still looks just as nice as when they finished.

Our Real estate agent recommended Florida Furniture Packages. After speaking with a couple of other companies, it was clear that Florida Furniture Packages was the best. I live 10 hours away and had no idea how to furnish my new property. John and Kerry made the process simple, and they stuck to their word that my property would be ready for Easter. I could not be more happy, walking into my home made me cry. Thank you, thank you thank you.

Our experience was different than the other reviewers. Initially we were happy with the design and paid in full up front in September of 2021. Our condo was under construction, so I reached out early to avoid supply chain issues and delays, and was assured that they could store and complete installation once our developer received the certificate of occupancy and we closed. Communication during the design phase was good, but after the contract was signed and payment received, I had to initiate all communication about orders, and then was informed that items we had chosen would be delayed beyond our projected closing, and I would have thought that would have been researched before including an item in our plan. Then we closed and items we were never told hadn’t arrived were missing and John and Kerry implied it was our fault because apparently they commingle customer orders in their warehouse and had to move ours around waiting for our developer to finish construction. I never did get the dining room chairs we ordered from our design plan and had to wait another month after the install in October 2022 to get an alternate style rather than the chairs that we were supposed to get that were supposed to match our bar stools. Speaking of barstools, we only received 3 out of the 4 we purchased and literally just got the 4th one last week in March of 2023. They originally delivered the wrong master bedroom furniture, and when the correct furniture came it was damaged. I will say that the furniture repair person they sent did a great job repairing the cracks and gouge the the footboard and desk. The mattresses we received were from a substandard, off name brand that they found for sale online for less than $500 for a king mattress and box spring set discount close out. Mattresses had to be immediately replaced at addition expense. Our chaise sectional couch was ordered wrong and the chaise is on the opposite side of the design plan and they only fix they offered was to come pick up the couch and offer $2500 for me to order and wait likely another 6 months for a couch. Neither John nor Kerry came to any of the installation dates and I had to direct and clean up after the installers each day. After spending $50,000.00 I’d have to say the design plan part was OK, but ordering, some products, installation, and communication were subpar.

Florida Furniture packages go above and beyond to ensure that you have the best Furnishings for your house. Kerry's flair for design is fantastic and knows exactly those finishing touches which make the house a home you want to live in. Johns techinal abilities are again fantastic and provides the home with the technology we can't all live without. Their professionalism and work quality is second to none. I changed my mind numerous times and both John and Kerry did their upmost to ensure these changes were not on,y within the budget but can also be completed within the deadline for completion. I would recommend Florida Furniture Packages without any hesitation to all. Thank you both for the homes you have created for us.

We worked with Florida Furniture Packages to create 3 themed bedrooms and a themed game room for our real property near Orlando, FL. I cannot say enough about how pleased we are with the final results! John and Kerry are very easy to work with. They listened to what we wanted to accomplish and delivered a final product that was beyond what we discussed and expected. They coordinated all aspects of the project from beginning to end and were able to be flexible when changes arose. I could not recommend John and Kerry and Florida Furniture Packages higher!

We contacted Kerry and John on the recommendation of our realtor and we are so thankful that we did. We had previously researched and spoken with other designers but all seemed to be just standard furniture suppliers who were unwilling to work around our ideas. John and Kerry were quite the opposite, they listened to and understood our likes and needs and produced beautiful designs for our home around these adding many touches that we had not thought of. All of this was done in quite a tight timescale to a very high specification - we love our home and it is all thanks to Kerry and John and their great team of professionals! Cheers guys!
