We hired Jean and Jamie from Susan Fredman in 2011 to update and furnish our home in Chicago. They did an excellent job quickly understanding our style and functional needs furnishing a house with three small children. They were flexible with how we worked together and very efficient. I love what they did with our home! We get compliments on our home all the time - from the design, to the furniture... even the paint colors! We recently moved to Austin, TX and are working with them again to update our new home even though we moved across the country. I couldn't imagine working with anyone else!

We have hired Fredman Design Group for 2 summer home renovations, a professional chiropractic office and a pre construction city home condo. The technical areas of expertise that stood out beyond our expectations were creative space design and reconfiguration of space, spectacular design and workmanship of materials (furniture, assessories, necessities) and detailed lighting and use of color. Another area that went beyond our expectation was the professional time commitment of the designers and their commitment to deliver their best from start to completion. Susan Fredman has spectacular talent and eye along with the staff to pull things together in a timely and efficient manner. She is comfortable recommending a $500 table from Crate & Barrel to a custom $50,000 rug. I have used their firm for commercial as well as personal residence With their offices in Harbor Country, Chicago and Milwaukee, they have the ability to take care of anyone in the Midwest. We are now in the process of talking about our 4th project with them. I can not imagine what could be a better endorsement!

I hired Susan Fredman Design Group to create a plan for furnishings and window treatments for my home. I understood the cost for the plan, but didn't have a good sense of the cost of furnishings and window treatments required to implement the plan. I fault myself for that—I'm not a high-end person and I perceive them as a high-end design firm. It was not a good match. Although the plan was well-designed, the cost of the furnishings suggested was beyond my budget. To some degree, I felt that it was about buying expensive furnishings. I am just as happy as less expensive but well-designed furnishings. Also, based on my careful measurements, there would have been fit issues with one or two pieces of furniture. I paid for the plan, but didn't work with them to implement it. I suspect they do beautiful work with those for whom they are a good match, however.
