Gayle Forster works on vastly diverse projects of all sizes and budgets. The scope ranges from hourly consultations, to designing one room, to remodels, to complete home interior renovations, where she plans and designs spaces down to every last accessory. Her expertise and complete understanding of the details, resources and processes of interior design stems from exposure to all types of projects. Prior to starting her own interior design firm, Gayle spent 20 years honing her skills at leading design and interior architecture firms in Northern and Southern California, including the prestigious and iconic architectural firm of Skidmore, Owings and Merril in San Francisco. She holds a B.A. in interior design from the University of San Diego.

Both jobs were extensive and she made the entire process in both cases enjoyable and she used her expertise to solve several major design issues. Our living space and a kitchen were redesigned and the addition of a staircase to an unused loft space added a whole new dimension to our home. Gayle is one of the best, if not the best, interior designers I've worked with over the years. While working with her on the complete remodel of a home in The Sea Ranch, I really appreciated her attention to detail during construction as well as with the interior decoration. She caught things during construction that would have been very costly to correct after completion. I've been very impressed with her ability to use her client's furniture and art in new and exciting ways while combining them with new ideas. The design and architecture throughout Sea Ranch can lead to a lack of individuality and even 'coldness'. Gayle really works with each client to add the individual feel and look. Plus, Gayle is great to work with. She does what she says she'll do, she's prompt, she's prepared, she's flexible, she really does her homework. I loved her ideas. They are individual, exciting, and useable. And I loved going with her into San Francisco to shop for furniture and fabric. In fact, I've gone back to Gayle for help in our other home in the Gold Country.

Sea Ranch Abalone Bay

Her services are very reasonable. Through her guidance and tutelage I not only have a lovely home, but also a greater understanding of what is needed to have a 5-star vacation rental with desired amenities.
