We hired Ginger Rabe to assist us with the refurbishing and the interior design a 70 year old coastal ranch house and ADU. We are demanding clients and our project was filled with custom work with the requirement that much of the new work needed to be fitted in a seamless manner to the existing footprint and charming vintage features. Ginger was up to the task and remained positive and resilient throughout the entire project. She worked through difficulties with suppliers and contractors with tenacity. She provided an organized budget and schedule, efficient and clear billing, a variety of amazing skilled craftspersons and a great variety of suppliers. Ginger was willing to take on the challenge of designing and building many of the custom elements from scratch or modifying off the shelf items to fit the installation requirements. The scope of the design and installation work included custom tile work, custom fabrication of draperies and boxed valances, custom house numbers, custom design features, custom cabinet work, custom shelving, custom faux beams, custom doors, custom woodwork, custom lighting, custom outdoor shower made of reclaimed barn wood, custom patio made from vintage reclaimed bricks, custom IT installation, custom security camera installation..... The list is extensive along with providing contractors that supply the basics of plumbing, electrical, flooring, drywall, painting etc... . Ginger helped us choose lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, hardware, flooring, countertops, tile, window coverings, paint colors, exterior decking, furniture and decorating items, appliances - and much more. We are very pleased with the finished product and recommend that you hire Ginger Rabe Design!!

I had a complete remodel completed in Santa Barbara for my father. Great communication, discussed every cent, provided worksheets for easy project scheduling and provided beautiful work. The crews Ginger uses are nothing but the best! It’s hard to find those that care and have an eye for attention to detail.

No communication or regard for the clients budget, did not listen to us at all - really a very disappointing experience. Everything was an excuse not willing to take responsibility for any of her work or advice.

Ginger and her team developed my site plans and help facilitate them into construction documents to submit to the city for my ADU! They were prompt, diligent and professional. My family was completely unprepared for a remodel, let alone one that encompassed 90% of our home being stripped to the slab floor, plus removal of all fixtures, cabinets, and appliances due to a flood and asbestos remediation that followed. Ginger understood our situation and helped every step of the way! She stayed in nearly constant communication with us while coordinating every aspect of rebuilding the whole interior of our home. I had no idea what style we wanted, in fact I had never heard the names of some of the styles, or knew what they meant. Ginger is very professional, while also being easy to talk to, and a good listener. Choosing all the products was torture for me, but Ginger assured me we would get through it together. She took the time to listen to my needs, wants, frustrations, and budget before suggesting designs and products for us. Ginger was able to carve out space in our 1200 sq ft home for the gourmet kitchen I had always wanted. I couldn't find the words to describe products I liked, but once Ginger showed me several light fixtures, faucets, sinks or whatever, I could point out the ones I DIDN'T like. I'm sure she spent HOURS finding bathroom light fixtures for me to choose from because I really don't like light fixtures at all. I am happy to report Ginger found bathroom light fixtures I LOVE! We are thrilled with our new home, and highly recommend Ginger Rabe Designs and her skilled team of professionals.

Ginger won this remodeling project at my place fair and square against 5 other conteders. She offered not only comprehensive design skills, but also general contractor/prime services. This is a rare combintation - to know not only what will look great, but also what is feasible, given the structure of the house. She was able to select, schedule, and manage the contractors and make sure they deliver quality, while also making all of the design and decor choices on my behalf.

Ginger is an amazing and creative designer. She helped us redesign our kitchen, family room and dining room. We were really impressed by the unique items she showed us that we wouldn’t have found without her. She is very professional and quick to respond. We highly recommend her to everyone.

It was a pleasure working with Ginger on our office remodel. We have been in the same space for the past 12 years and were in desperate need of a “face lift.” She helped with everything from picking out the paint, to redesigning our furniture / floor lay out, new artwork, and all the finishing touches. She was a great sounding board for our ideas and was able to bring them to life. She gave us many different designs and pieces to choose from and continuously had more ideas to share when we would think of new ways we pictured our space. Working with Ginger on our backyard project was one of the best construction/design experiences I have ever had. Right away I could tell we could trust her with our vision. She offered cost-effective solutions where we needed them and encouraged us to push ourselves creatively when we may have otherwise have played it safe. I was always impressed with the way she handled coordinating the workers and even insisted on being there to supervise while we were out of town. Her positive and friendly personality made it fun for the whole family when she would stop be to discuss plans. I can’t wait to work on our next project with her!

Ginger is the best! I was referred to her by a friend, after being blown-off by numerous other "pro's" because our jobs were minor. When I spoke to her on the phone, she immediately sounded enthusiastic about what I was proposing. We set the date for the jobs to be done the following weekend. A few days later, she came over to take some measurements and make certain she knew exactly what the job entailed. She was so thorough and personable, at the same time. It was hard to believe I was finally dealing with someone who wanted the job and actually seemed gracious about it! Cut to the following weekend, when we got started on our projects. She came to our house with her handyman and made sure he knew *exactly* what was to be done, and what was expected. She oversaw the whole thing, start to finish. All three separate projects turned out beautifully within the projected time frame, we could not be happier with the whole experience! We will definitely be calling on Ginger in the future, for all our home improvement needs, big and small!
