Gleicher Design was the architect for the renovation of my New York City co-op apartment. Anyone who has renovated an apartment in a NYC coop knows that the project can be a challenging one for a number of reasons. Gleicher Design exceeded my expectations in all respects. I was particular impressed by the quality of the work, the familiarity with NYC building codes and practices, the attention to detail, the ability to anticipate potential issues in advance and propose solutions, the close monitoring of the general contractor's work (including weekly site meetings), and the always professional and timely advice. I also note that my building is particularly demanding (perhaps overly so) when it comes to renovation work, so it presented its own particular challenges that Gleicher Design handled extremely well. The bottom line is that the process could not have been smoother, and the project was completed within the expected timetable and budget with no surprises. I would recommend this firm without any reservations.

We worked with Paul and his team on our gut renovation of a prewar Manhattan apartment. . It was a complicated project - tricky space and mechanicals, a sensitive board of directors, and worried neighbors - and Gleicher Design handled it all with aplomb. They did a great job helping us pin down our design preferences; put together many design schemes until we found the one that satisfied our desires and the site constraints; were meticulous with mechanicals, finishes, and interior design; and were constantly on-site to make sure that construction went according to plan. My wife and I hired Gleicher Design as Architect, Design Consultants and Project Supervisor's for a gut renovation on an 8 room apartment that we'd purchased, which was in dire need of one. We interviewed 8 Architects, so our decision to hire Paul and the team from Gleicher Design was not made hastily. We found that most, if not all, of the other architects we interviewed had their own vision for the apartment that they wanted to see to the end. Our point of view, even though we were the ones who'd be living in the apartment, seemed to be of small consequence to them. Paul on the other hand, began our interview by asking what our vision was and started drawing things up immediately that were in line with how we saw the apartment would be when finished. We knew then and there that Gleicher Design was the right firm to hire and we did so the next day. Paul and his team were great. They collaborated with us in all aspects of the project and really were there to shape our vision, not create their own. From choosing the final layout to choosing contractor that would be best fit price and quality wise, Paul and the team were there to hold our hands, be realistic about costs and solve problems on site when they occurred. The construction process took about eleven months but we moved in in April of 2017 and have been thrilled with the results. When my wife told me about a week and a half after moving in, "it came out exactly as I wanted," I knew we had done well in hiring Paul and Glechier Design for our project. For anyone out there considering Gleicher Design, you will be happy working with them and you will be happy with how your project turns out. And that's all anyone could want from a renovation project in the end.

Gleicher Design is an 'all in one' design firm. The attention paid to every aspect of our our gut renovation, whether it be in the minutiae of gaining city permits, or relishing in seeing a good idea become a fantastic reality, Paul and his team were tremendous to work with.
