Rebecca’s passion for design and culture began as a child, as she visited art museums and galleries with her mother, an art historian. Her exposure to interiors and fine art sparked a passion for exploring the ways that shape, texture, color and composition evoke an emotional experience. This interest in aesthetics and design led her to earn a BFA at Chicago’s International Academy of Design and Technology. In 2001, Rebecca founded GOGO Design Group to serve residential design clients in the Chicago area and throughout the Midwest. Rather than being recognized for a particular design style, she is known for designing spaces that are uniquely tailored to each homeowner’s preferences and daily lifestyle, resulting in rich, layered spaces that will embolden, energize and delight them for years to come. With honesty, integrity and trust at the core of how GOGO Design Group operates, Rebecca provides valuable insight, design expertise and personal attention as the unique vision for each client’s home is brought to life. Rebecca speaks often on design-related topics at consumer education events and B2B design/build conferences. Her work has been featured in Chicago Tribune Magazine, Design Chicago, and on Houzz and HGTV.com.

Working with Rebecca of Gogo Design has been a pleasure as she has experience and eye to push me to and through my comfort zone in selecting colors and patterns I wouldn't have considered before engaging her. The end result is a refreshed and modern look. I have worked with her on numerous projects and have recently started in on the redo of a bathroom for my mid-century modern house. The experience of working on designs together is uplifting as I always come away feeling happy and inspired with the new directions we take. I strongly encourage engaging Rebecca on any design projects you may have as I have been delighted with the dramatic results she helped me achieve.

How can I express the admiration and trust I have in Rebecca Pogonitz and GOGO Design Group! Rebecca was recommended by my outstanding painter, Anthony Giangrossi, and she was a perfect match for me! I was on a pretty tight budget but together Rebecca and I created a truly special place in my first ever owned home. Rebecca has a natural easy-going personality, which allows you to share your ideas with her even if they're a little out of the box. Rebecca put together wallpaper choices, paint colors and fixures based on my initial preferences and from there, we chose everything that satisfied my wishlist! As a lifetime renter, I was a bit hesitant to try color and statement wallpaper but I am so glad I let Rebecca's professional advice take the lead as everything turned out better than I could have expected! She was so in tune with what we discussed, she was able to pick a wallpaper for my kitchen that is not only beautiful, but holds a special significance for me! What an unexpected wonderful surprise! Not only does Rebecca make the process smooth and stress-free, but she is like having a good friend over to discuss ideas and visions! She made me excited for my new adventure into decorating! Highly recommended!!!

We thoroughly benefitted from working with Rebecca for the design of our basement layout. It's an older home and a bit of a quirky floor plan. My husband and I were tired of going around in circles talking about what we should do with it. Rebecca was great about listening to what we wanted and taking into consideration our specific wants for the space (multi-use / multi-tasking spaces), re-use of some existing furniture pieces, and making it feel warm & welcoming and being family-friendly. It was a tall order! We are super happy with the result, from accent walls paint color selection to several new furniture pieces, a new statement piece of art, and rugs (that all of these I'm sure we wouldn't have felt confident purchasing without Rebecca's input and guidance). She was super patient with us through the process as we pivoted a few times what we thought we wanted once we saw possibilities. (The pictures are from before hanging artwork and completely finishing everything, but hopefully they help to give an idea - I love the colors!)

Rebecca was great to deal with. She listened to what we wanted and then translated that into a design plan. Rebecca pushed us to think about things outside our comfort zone which is what we needed. The finished product is something we could not have done with our own vision. We get compliments all the time on the design. Rebecca also has so many contacts on people to do work and all were fantastic. It was a process we were very happy with and would do again. We would recommend anyone looking for a designer who really takes the time to get you and know to create something special and personal look no further - Rebecca is the one!

Rebecca did a fantastic job with our first floor renovation that included a kitchen, powder room, entryway, living room and dining room. She took the time to understand what both my husband and I like and she was able to help us find colors and styles that we could both enjoy despite different tastes. Rebecca was conscious of our budget, offering us choices within a range and guiding us on when it was beneficial to splurge and when the budget option would work well. She also did a phenomenal job coordinating with the contractor and other professionals working on the project, helping to ensure that the end result was something we loved.

We recently purchased a new house and underwent a major first floor renovation. I was truly a “deer in headlights” not knowing where or how to begin. Rebecca came highly recommended, and the moment she walked in the door, I knew that she was the perfect person to walk beside me on this journey. Her calm, confident demeanor was so powerful, and together we were able to make decisions about construction and design that resulted in a house that was exactly what we had envisioned. Rebecca’s vision and talent was obvious from the beginning, but her ability to connect at an emotional level, knowing exactly how to communicate her ideas and suggestions made the experience and our relationship so special. I can’t recommend Rebecca enough!

Rebecca at GoGo Design did a fantastic job of helping me with my house update. Rebecca helped me blend my traditional furniture that I love with new contemporary furniture, lighting and window treatments. She listened well to what I had in mind and made it happen. The electrician, painter and window treatment specialist that Rebecca works with are also excellent. I am very pleased with the results. What I liked most, is that Rebecca helped make my home unique but still comfortable and inviting.

Rebecca worked skillfully with all of our constraints—small budget, existing wall colors, and existing furniture—to help us redecorate 3+ rooms. We had never hired a designer to help with this type of project, so we we’re sure what to expect. Fortunately, Rebecca was generous, patient, and kind as she guided us through the process. We trusted her choices, and in the end, the rooms turned out better than we could have imagined. They are beautiful, they function well, and they reflect our personalities. We couldn’t be happier!
