Our home remodeling took a year to complete, Maggie and Gogo Interiors played an instrumental role in the beautiful home we are currently blessed to live in. We have appreciated everything Maggie has done but there are five key strengths that we’d like to highlight with regards to our experience with Maggie and Gogo Interiors. They are:
1) Kitchen Design: The original design of the kitchen had an island in the middle and our vision was to keep the island but improve the horrible flow of the kitchen. Maggie’s vision had a “L” shape counter instead of the island; at first, we were very apprehensive, people are replacing the “L” shape with islands to improve flow and increase openness… When Maggie showed it to us on 3D, we were sold. Her knowledge of kitchen design goes beyond the layouts and the beauty of the layouts; her recommendations for pull-outs, large drawers, appliance garage and automated cabinets is amazing. Our kitchen is used on a daily basis for cooking, baking, family gatherings and entertaining. We’ve been in our house for six months; the functionality, storage and beauty of our kitchen is simply amazing. We LOVE IT. The entire house is beautiful but the kitchen and how it’s open to the family room and the outdoor living is simply the heart of our home and our favorite room.
2) Overall Vision: Her vision of the exterior, interior walls, Windows and doors; and how that ties to the flow of the house, the selection and placement of furnishings and colors resulted in an open floor plan that is comfortable, relaxed, easy flowing and elegant. She was able to see beyond the 80’s style the home was and bring it to the stylish, upgraded transitional home we were seeking.
3) Wall & ceiling elevations: use of moldings, trims, MDF panels, wood on ceilings, wall openings and hidden closets resulted in a unique custom home that is BEAUTIFUL
4) 3D design: When we disagreed or couldn’t visualize what Maggie was trying to accomplish, her use of 3D software, brough her designs to life.
5) Eye for Detail & Resolving Problems: Maggie worked closely with our general contractor and the team to make sure little things are completed; the couple of examples below may seem minor but what we’ve learned is that construction projects are full of these on a daily basis…:
- the canned lights and ceiling speakers on the dark wood ceilings had to be painted black
- The granite slabs around the fireplace – the granite floor in front of the fireplace were short 2 inches short from the city requirements, Maggie used stainless steel to make a design and add the two inches from left over slabs without needing to purchase another slab. It looks like this was the original design and it actually made it look even better.
Maggie has earned our trust; she is dedicated and pours her mind and heart into her work. She was always available and responded speedily to our questions or questions from our general contractor. Based on our experience, we would recommend Maggie and Gogo Interiors without hesitation.
