I recently downsized my home and my attempts to "fit in" proved extremely frustrating. My living room in particular was a huge problem. I kept moving things around for weeks but everything continued to seem out of place leaving me feeling very unsettled, awkward, and uncomfortable. I expressed my frustrations to Melissa and she offered to give me some pointers. I was very embarrassed to show her the state of my room and even more embarrassed at the fact that I couldn't even express to Melissa exactly what I wanted in terms of colour and design. All I could share with her was the fact that I was not happy. She smiled and said it's okay. Within minutes she had a concept in mind that I instantly fell in love with while at the same time asking myself: why didn't I think of this myself!? It's so obvious and simple, yet it never crossed my mind! Melissa is amazing! She is extremely intuitive and designed my space to not only much my budget, but also my personality! She blends functionality with style seamlessly, and is incredibly focused and dedicated to her craft. She is a true professional who goes above and beyond the call of duty. She exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend her!

Mel at Graceful Living was wonderful to work with. My husband and I had plans of gutting and redoing an old family farmhouse top to bottom in less than a year. With Mel’s help we moved in within 8months of ownership. She helped us with a new floor plan, (relocating the kitchen and both bathrooms,) lighting layout and sourced many final finishes for the interior. She also designed our kitchen and office cabinetry - which we are so happy with. She was able to design and make suggestions for things we had never thought of - and sourced all our appliances too! Closer to move-in date, she helped us select all our interior paint colours and helped with furniture layouts. We are so happy with our forever home and know we wouldn’t have such a beautiful home without Mel’s skillful eye and expertise.
