GREER Interior Design

We have hired Jennifer and her team for two separate residential projects. Our first project in 2010 was mostly handled remotely while we were overseas. To work in these sorts of circumstances requires a team who is trustworthy, honest, detailed and totally transparent. We found this to be exactly the case with Greer Interior Design. Our next project 3 years later was much larger and we hired Greer Interior Design from the start to work with both the architect and builder. Having someone who was looking out for our aesthetic wishes in the design phase meant that we were all in sync from day one. We didn’t count for the added bonus of having someone that was also watching for any unnecessary costs in the design that might leave us short on budget when we wanted to do all the fabulous interiors things at the end. On Jennifer’s advice we removed a design element that was costly and would not have added to our enjoyment of the house. This alone more than paid for her services. Jennifer always looks at a project budget holistically. Any designer can spec high end tiles and fabrics and get a fabulous result but not all can do the same when a budget is tighter. Not only can Greer Interior Design work with varied budgets they are also great at being able to guide a client on where to spend to get a fabulous end result and in what areas you can economize so that no one would notice. Greer's personal style is refined and clean but she is experienced enough to marry her own style with every client's individual tastes so that the work is fresh with each new project, even with the same client. Jennifer is a true professional. She has worked hard to establish herself and is proud of her team and the work that they produce. This is apparent in the way they support their clients after a project is completed. If I ever have a concern, from how a blind is sitting to what paint we used where, the team are quick to respond with exactly what I need. I can’t imagine using anyone else in Austin for interiors work.

Greer Interior Design is a small firm with Jennifer Hartman at its helm. Jennifer's deep experience in the design world is a great asset. Jennifer helped my husband and I add a large addition to an existing home and the goal was for the finished project to look seamless. We changed existing finishes as well as picking out ALL interior finishes for a master wing; bathroom, walk in closet, powder room,study and Great Room. She helped us with the selection of finishes; hand painted tile, marble,quartzite,European oak flooring, Venetian plaster. A lighting consultant was brought in. Jennifer produced all the drawings for our builtins and book shelves. At the same time she worked with our contractor, Jennifer and her team helped us pick furnishings that would compliment the existing pieces we wanted to keep. She was able to respect our budget and we while acquired some new signature pieces we were able to finish the spaces with reasonably priced additions. The Greer team was always on top of the process as we were not living in the same state during the renovation. This was not our first project with Greer Interiors. We really like the aesthetic brought to the process. Greer was instrumental in keeping the project on schedule and seeing that we were able to finish on schedule.

We engaged Greer about 6 months prior to moving into our new home and were treated to a phenomenal experience and result. Throughout the process we were repeatedly impressed with the preparation undertaken prior to our scheduled meetings and the overall follow through. In addition to making an efficient use of our time, Greer was also masterful at interpreting our design preferences and hitting the nail on the head with a design aesthetic that reflected our style.... one we couldn't describe in our own words, but they someone figured it out... and quickly. The installation of the furnishings was turn-key and happened within two days. We couldn't be more pleased with the results and look forward to working with Greer in the future.

Jennifer, Jaime and Christa worked with us on doing some minor renovations and furnishing our new home. Because we were moving into a house twice as large as our old house, we needed a lot of furniture. In addition, the new house needed to be scraped, repainted and have some minor remodeling projects done - all within a month, so that we could be moved and settled before the kids started school. Jaime did a terrific job of staying on top of the contractors to make sure they finished the project more or less on time, allowing us to move in on schedule. I would not have been able to manage this project on my own, and we are so pleased with all of the results - the house looks great. I also could not be happier with the furniture and decor GREER helped us select. I told Jaime and Jennifer from the beginning that I wanted to make decisions quickly and would rarely want to see more than three options for a piece. They did excellent work doing the research on the front end and bringing me three good options. I tend to like a more minimalistic look, and they've done a great job working within that aesthetic, but also making our home look beautiful, stylish and comfortable. Finally, because we have four kids and two dogs, they helped steer us towards really hardy fabrics and rugs. I couldn't be happier with our home; it is simultaneously elegant and family friendly. Finally, Jaime, Jennifer and Christa are all wonderful to work with. They're very professional, kind and flexible. They have a strong artistic vision, but they also run an efficient business - tracking the budget, staying on top of invoices and expenses, and managing the logistics of contractors, deliveries and installations. They were a pleasure to work with, and I'd hire them again in a minute.

As a homebuilder & remodeler, I have had the pleasure of working with the Greer team on a few projects. I enjoy working with them; they are talented and professional, and I recommend them at every opportunity.
