Gregory Roth Design

We had a fantastic experience working with Gregory Roth Design. First of all, Greg is hugely talented, calm, creative and a wonderful communicator. We presented Greg with the challenge of designing a 2,000 sq. ft. condo in CT when he lives in LA. The space was completely gutted down to the cement floors, with all the walls taken down and bathrooms that needed to be moved. Greg had never been to the space. But he took this on enthusiastically! We gave him accurate measurements of the space and proceeded to have many hours of FACETIME meetings to achieve an awesome layout for our project. We did this all in real-time while he worked on a CAD. He thoughtfully navigated any differences of opinion and convincingly explained the logic behind all of his designs. We had many long meetings to discuss all accurate measurements. He completed the floor plan, the lighting plan and designed all our built-in cabinets. Greg did come to CT to see the framing going up and helped up choose all of our gorgeous tile for the two new bathrooms. Our builder, electrician and plumber all worked off of his plans and we are now in the final stages of decor. Thank you Greg for all your amazing work and dedication to this project!

Working with Greg is a gift. His sense of color is remarkable, bringing shades that I would never have thought of to enhance the design ideas he suggests - all in collaboration with my own ideas. Simply stated, he listens and totally "gets" what the client wants while also bringing ideas to the project so that in the end you feel that it's yours, all yours (and not someone else's created showcase). He is open to working with all other professionals which makes coordinating the job a breeze as opposed to managing the egos of others. I would hire him for any project, large or small - he brings his talents to any room, house, or office and immediately sees ways to enhance the space. And that's what makes working with him so enjoyable!

Greg has helped with several projects at several different residences. The latest was last month. He has designed unique pieces of furniture and light fixtures and we've never had a single complaint or disappointment. Greg is always prompt for appointments and accurate with deadlines. I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again and plan to do so in the near further.

Greg designed a full remodel of our home in Santa Monica and did a fantastic job. Not only is he a talented designer, he is also a pleasure to work with. Greg designed a full remodel of the large unfinshed basement in our 1920 Tudor in Seattle. I highly recommend him - it was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Greg is a very talented designer. He listened carefully to our needs and offered innovative ideas for use of materials, colors and spaces. The design included a home office, a large play area for our children and a media center. Greg is a true professional - responsible, responsive and reliable. He is also has a great sense of humor and is a real pleasure to work with all around. We were absolutely thrilled with the final product. It was fresh, modern and playful and worked well with rest of our house. It turned out just as he designed and quickly became one of our favorite places to be.

I highly recommend Greg Roth for his architectural and design abilities and graat taste. Greg designed a beautiful restaurant for us in LA. The design was beautiful and he was able to be creative with a tight budget and understood the operations team's needs to make it functional. Based on that great experience my wife and I decided to hire him to re-decorate a number of rooms in our home in SF and he did an espectacular job with it as well. We hired Greg to help us with the design of our new home in 2009. He worked with us from the early stages of architectural drawings to the final stages of choosing furniture. Greg made the daunting process of building our dream home an exciting and (dare I say) fun adventure. Greg's enthusiasm for design and colour are infectious. While we knew in theory what we liked, Greg was able to find things that matched our taste as well as push us to "the next level", leaving us with a home that is constantly complimented by anyone visiting our home. Greg showed us how to mix fun and whimsy with colour and design elements, into various aspects of the home, while maintaining the peaceful transitional style we were drawn to. His use of natural materials and mixture of textures can be seen from the flooring and tiles, to the bedding and throw pillows. In addition, Greg's training as an architect was instrumental in pointing out space that could be optimized when reviewing the working drawings, and designing the layout of the kitchen/bathrooms. Greg has an easy going engaging personality and was simply wonderful to work with. He respected our style and was able to follow our directions while suggesting options we may not have considered, with no ego. He respected our budget and came up with many "high/low" solutions to allow us to work within it and achieve beautiful results. Tradespeople and salespeople alike found him likeable and easy to work with. Our project lasted 12 months and we had the opportunity to work with multiple people. Greg was by far the most professional person we encountered on this journey and we would have no hesitation in giving him the highest recommendation.
