Guta Louro is the founder and CEO of Guta Louro Designs. An architect by training and a designer by passion, her journey began in Brazil, where she earned a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Fundacao Armando Alvares Penteado (Sao Paulo) and a certificate in Interior Design from the Escola Panamericana de Arte (Sao Paulo). Her work spans from the earliest stages of construction drawings to project management and the final furniture design and selection, ensuring a cohesive and thoughtfully curated space. Guta's style embodies contemporary sophistication. With a bold, mix-and-match aesthetic and a playful take on mid-century modernism blended with boho chic, she designs layered interiors with depth and dimension that respect the past while winking at the future. Her feminine sensibility and earthy naturalism, inherited from her South American background, allow her to craft soulful interiors that embody Brazilian hospitality and essence. Each project reflects a harmonious blend of elements from different eras, styles, and periods, creating spaces that are both timeless and contemporary. Her projects have garnered attention in major national and international publications such as House Beautiful, Dwell, The Décor Yearbook of Sao Paulo, Vogue Living, The New York Magazine, Living Etc., and numerous newspapers. In addition to her architectural and design background from Brazil, Guta holds an Executive MBA from Fundacao Getulio Vargas (Sao Paulo) and a Master of Fine Arts from the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID). This diverse educational background equips her with a unique blend of technical expertise and artistic vision.
