I’m a general contractor and I’ve had the pleasure of working with Melanie on several projects. Her designs are well thought out, beautiful and sensible, but she also has a knack for bringing together various elements to make a space exciting and unique. She’s good at listening to clients to get a sense of their needs and aesthetic. She’s responsive, hard working, goes the extra mile to make a project go smoothly. Melanie designed a beautiful kitchen for our home! The small kitchen was 34 yrs. old with old, dark & well-worn cabinets, flooring in poor condition, limited cabinet space, old & worn out tile counter tops, and a low ceiling with old florescent lighting. It was depressing to be in and the limited space was frustrating. From the very beginning of our working with Melanie, her enthusiasm and incredible creative solutions & beautiful visions for the area not only fit our needs, but went beyond what we could imagine the area could look like - she just took off with ideas & the creativity kept pouring out from her to produce the final design. We raised the ceiling, expanded the kitchen door opening, installed beautiful new cabinets & cabinet drawers, installed an efficient lighting system, added a beautiful quartz countertop & back splash with a beautiful & artistic tile flooring which completely transformed the entire area. Melanie walked us through each step of the way, helping us with colors, designs & adding ideas to make our kitchen not only beautiful, but also efficient. We also worked with her recommended contractor and they did a stellar job of making the plan come to life. All in all, working with Melanie was a great experience & what could have been a stressful project ended up being a lot of fun with highly satisfactory, long-lasting results. Thank you, Melanie!

Melanie designed the renovation of my kitchen and the master bathroom. She was very good about listening and incorporating not only my needs but also my personality into the project. She was very open and supportive, therefore, we were able to do all the design and planning up front, avoiding any changes once the contractor started work. This was particularly helpful as we were doing all this during the pandemic with the effects on the supply chain. She is very knowledgeable but also curious, and always brings a positive energy to every exchange. The results have exceeded my expectations.
