I have had the pleasure of working with Heather on various projects and contracts for over 20 years and can say without a doubt that she is a consummate professional in her field. She has the ability to execute projects beautifully from start to finish, keeping in mind the needs and wants of her clients above all else. Throughout the years, I have seen her problem solve and adapt when the need arises. Her eye for design is matched by her integrity. She is a great listener and a kind person and these qualities extend into her professional interactions. You will surely enjoy working with Heather and walk away pleased with the results!

Heather Cleveland has a beautiful eye for design, composition, and quality. She has the highest integrity personally and professionally. One thing I love about Heather is how grounded and real she is. Another is how she lives/walks her talk in terms of eco-sustainability in her designs and in her personal/family life. I work with her as a colleague in the design/build industry and I never hesitate to recommend her services.

Heather initially impressed us with her design skills and ideas for our project. However, we encountered significant challenges due to poor project management and a lack of accountability on her part. One of our primary expectations was for Heather to coordinate with contractors and ensure a smooth and timely project, which we were paying her to do. Unfortunately, her coordination was lacking, leading to contractor confusion and delays. At times, she suggested actions that would have compromised the structural integrity of our home if we did not intervene, such as advising an electrician to cut a significant portion of a ceiling joist to put in recessed lighting even after he described why it was a bad idea. We had to intervene and reject this suggestion to protect our property. The most significant issue arose during the installation of our stairs, which deviated from Heather's proposed design and was poorly executed. Our frustration led us to reach out to Heather, hoping for a resolution. Instead of seeking to understand, she abruptly terminated our collaboration via email, listing everything that we had apparently done wrong and backhandedly apologized for letting us do those things, followed by immediately sending us an invoice. Interestingly, her final invoice included an unexplained "designer fee" of $210. When we sought clarification, she initially claimed that everything had been itemized. Strangely, the fee disappeared when we reopened the invoice from Houzz. She disputes this, but I have a downloaded copy of the invoice that reflects this before she updated it. She was also unwilling to help us get measurements for design work we had already paid for. And I'm not talking proprietary secrets, I'm just talking about how many inches a curtain rod was supposed to be from a window. We had folks come out and take those measurements and she refused to help us get that information and since she stopped working with us or even really talking to us in a kind manner, we have to eat that cost. One main fault Heather assigned to us was that we purchased some items during a holiday sale, which she approved before we did so. I could understand this if she told us not to when we asked. The one item we actually did purchase through her turned out to be the wrong model which she also incorrectly blamed on our indecisiveness, despite the item remaining consistent from her rendering to the purchase stage. As clients, we never insisted on a particular working style. We shared our opinions, asked questions, and expressed frustration when unexpected issues arose. We trusted her to guide us through the process, but her lack of professionalism and accountability disappointed us. While the initial design phase with Heather was enjoyable, her project management skills were severely lacking in the context of our project. I had to leave a completion date to leave this review, but it remains incomplete.

Heather is absolutely FANTASTIC! After managing a couple of renovations of my own in the past I decided as a treat to myself, I would hire a professional to manage the renovation of the master suite in my condo. I had been in my condo for over 18 years and the last space to see any sort of home improvement was the space that is supposed to be my sanctuary but had, through the years, become a drab and cluttered eyesore. This project was a big deal for me and I wanted someone who would manage the project from start to finish from selecting a contractor to selecting every finish and managing every last detail of how it should look when complete. Heather delivered 1,000,000-fold and it was the easiest, most seamless renovation project I have ever been a part of. My friends who have also had to deal with their own share of renovation projects agree since they never heard me say a negative word about the project or the fact that I was living with the construction and the next thing they new I was moving back into my new space. How often do you hear that?! And this is all in the middle of a pandemic! Heather has such a point of view and vision of every project she takes on and while it always looks amazing on paper, somehow it looks even more luxe and STUNNING in reality. You will not regret hiring Heather! Heather is very down to earth, easy to talk to and a pleasure to work with! We've enjoyed getting to know her and are continuously impressed with her stunning work.

My husband and I found Heather when we were looking for a designer to help us redesign our home. We were specifically looking for someone who would work with us on a long-term, project-by-project basis, starting with our main bathroom. Heather took on the task, transforming a small, poorly designed bathroom into a functional and beautiful space for our family of four. We have continued to work with Heather on smaller projects, including lighting, flooring and color consulting. In addition to her creative talents, Heather is pleasant, professional and trustworthy, offering honest and reliable advice. Working with her has been easy. We look forward to working with Heather again when it is time for the next big project.

Heather was a part of our contractor’s Design team for our kitchen and bath remodel. She designed a terrific bath for us that gave us the space we needed. She researched our preferences and gave us several good options to choose from. Heather referred us to a terrific painter that worked well with the rest of the team. We are very pleased with our kitchen and bath that Heather designed.

We decided to work with Heather for our kitchen remodel after interviewing several other designers and architects. We found her to be the most engaging and easy-going of all of them. She offered great ideas about our space right away during our first meeting and listened to our thoughts and ideas about what we'd like to do. Heather made the design process a lot of fun and she gave us great options and designs that accommodated our budget and our taste. She was patient with us making decisions and was always willing to re-work details until we were all really happy with the final design. Heather managed our entire project, bringing in a contractor who she had previous experience with. That contractor and his team were just as great to work with! She kept on top of the myriad of small problems that inevitably occur when doing an extensive remodel and always updated us on what stage we were in during the process. Heather took a lot of the stress out of the remodel and when the kitchen was done we were totally thrilled with the result! Heather's design was perfect and and the execution was high quality! We'd happily work with her again on other projects and recommend her to others without hesitation.

Heather is an amazingly talented designer as well as a friendly energetic person! I was provided with Heathers contact information through a referral, which I later found out was one of the best things that could have happen to me. As a 32 year old single first time home owner, I was extremely nervous to purchase a fixer upper duplex that needed a tremendous amount of work because I have limited time. But Heather took on my stressful project with open arms and completely transformed the property from an eye sore into a beautiful livable space. She coordinated the design, construction and final touches from beginning to end. It was a tremendous help that made what I originally thought was going to be a nightmare, a fun exciting project. Her hard work, design knowledge, expertise and endless resources are what made my home remodel a huge success!

Heather is the best and I can't recommend her more. I really like working with her. She is professional in all her dealings. Heather is quite knowledge and has help us with sourcing new cabinet lines. She has incredible product selection sources that she is more than willing to share.

I can't say enough great things about Heather! She has impeccable taste and is wonderful to work with. In 2014 she helped me select paint colors; designed a custom sofa sectional for our family room; and she picked accessories to give our condo a polished look. As soon as we started planning a 2017 kitchen makeover we called Heather because we know with her expertise it will look absolutely amazing.

Heather helped with partial kitchen re-do -- tile backsplash, counters, sink and faucet, refrigerator and dishwasher, and she's an expert on color. We're very happy with the results and get compliments from everyone who visits. She is knowledgeable, practical with suggestions and timeline, and also conscious of keeping me on budget. Hope to work with her again.
