HEATHER DISABELLA INTERIOR DESIGN

We hired Heather after we'd already started our renovation. We realized we were in way over our heads and needed help ASAP. I say all the time that Heather was our renovation angel! She got to know us, our style as a family and individually -- and then she provided us with ideas, options, and solutions. From how to deal with a quirky wall angle in our 100+ year old Capitol Hill house, to finding tile for the vestibule walls that perfectly matches the color of the original floor tile, to hanging the artwork, to parts I didn't even follow re: permits, inspections and plumbing. She always worked within our budget, which was not huge. Additionally, she is open-minded, honest, experienced, responsive and calm -- plus, she's a cool person. Her team was excellent to work with as well. Although we are finished with our renovation, I will continue to hire Disabella Interior Design to help us with projects.

It's been 4 months since our kitchen renovation wrapped up and we still pinch ourselves as we come down the stairs every morning. The entire experience, from concept to completion was an affirmation of our decision to work with Heather. She gave a tangible form to our ever changing ideas - all while staying patient, flexible and focused. Heather didn't just help us create a beautiful space, but rather a highly personal space - one we'll be creating memories in as a family for years to come, and one for which we can't thank her enough. We loved working with Heather and team on our home renovation on Capitol Hill! I started to feel overwhelmed with all the choices we needed to make and knew we needed some expert help to guide the process so we enlisted Heather and her team! Right away it felt like everything fell into place. They took the time to understand our vision, work with our contractor/architect, and provide us with a timeline of choices/options/pricing. Doing a big project you make a million small decisions on choices, but Heather's team makes it simple and helps with those selections and also keeping you within a reasonable budget. Adding to this we were doing our project during COVID and so timing and availability also was a concern, which they helped a lot with. I feel as though our project turned out so well in the end and many of the small choices we made with Heather are the reason that we feel it represents our style and cozy home. I would highly recommend engaging Heather and her team on design projects big and small!

Heather and the team were awesome to work with. I needed help making the flow of our home more functional for our family, as well as making it a place that reflected our style. After a few discussions and a quick survey, Heather was able to provide a menu of options to choose from and even handled the ordering for us. A super easy process! We couldn’t be happier with the results.

The entire HDID team is fantastic. They pay close attention to detail and support you through the design process. Heather sourced pieces that I would have never considered and I absolutely love them. She caught onto my taste quickly and presented multiple options but it was never overwhelming. She and her team are kind, friendly, and put you at ease. I highly recommend her!

Heather was so easy to work with. She had great ideas but listened attentively to us as well. She did a great job navigating my husband's and my different tastes:) With hey guidance we selected beautiful paint colors that we love every time we talk in the room. Heather is an absolute rockstar. She understood our design aesthetic immediately, accommodated our schedules seamlessly and was entirely understanding of our budget. I hired Heather this past year to help us decorate our dining room, living room and basement play space. The results were exactly what I wanted. What I appreciated most about Heather is how she really listened to what I wanted and came up with great ideas to make our small Capitol Hill DC row house work for a family with two young kids. Not only does the house look great, but it's functional with storage and spaces designed to work for our family. When she gives you a design for a room she gives you different styles and price options, which I found helpful. She was also timely and met all the deadlines that she set. When people come to our house they ask for the name of our interior designer, which is a compliment to Heather.

Don’t even think twice about hiring Heather! I worked with Heather after buying a new house. She helped me choose paint colors for the entire house and designing/decorating my open living/dining/kitchen area. I had no idea how to lay out such an open space, and she brought a thoughtful vision that worked for my family. Beautiful and functional! Heather is wonderful to work with. She is detail oriented with a great eye. She created a plan that I could implement as resources allowed. I’m so glad I had Heather to guide these decisions, as opposed to what probably would have been years of trial and error without satisfaction! Every part of our living area sparks joy for us!
