Raise The Standard,Inc.

We found it really easy to work with Henrietta. She gave her input but also had the demeanor that you could easily offer suggestions and she would listen openly to those ideas. It wasn't a one sided conversation like you can expect to have with a lot of designers. The house was beautifully designed and looked stunning when completed.

My husband and I stumbled on Henrietta's studio and retail gallery by chance one beautiful Fall day in 2015. We had only just moved to Lancaster from a small apartment in Brooklyn, NY and we were absolutely overwhelmed - starting from scratch with only notions and broad ideas in mind. After a short, informative discovery meeting, we decided to hire Henrietta for the front three formal rooms of our new home. From day one, Henrietta was amazing! She and her team worked patiently and diligently and by the third iteration, we had a fantastic foundational design that was beyond our wildest imagination! From there, we fine-tuned furniture and fabrics and lighting and wall colors and built-ins and so many other details; we looked forward to every meeting! The final result was worlds better than anything we could have done on our own, and the process, while more work that one might imagine, was fun and incredibly satisfying. Our deadline was hard and tight - yet everything was orchestrated perfectly. Each time we hit a snag or threw them a curve, they were right there with options and ideas to keep us on track. Their attention to detail and personal service is exemplary. Every contractor was of the highest caliber, every staff person professional and talented - we just cannot say enough. We always felt as though our project was the most important in their queue. We will definitely be using Henrietta's services for the remainder of our home and we highly recommend her and her team. We engaged Henrietta to help us completely redecorate our master bedroom & a guest/sitting room. She did an incredible job! We are so happy with the result and her design suggestions. Everything from paint colors to furniture & accessories are perfect! She was professional, friendly, creative, collaborative and very responsive during the entire project! I was very appreciative that she was attentive to our style preferences and price points. Her entire staff was very helpful and a delight to work with. My husband and I decided our living room, dining room and foyer needed an upgrade and, since our previous designer had moved on, we called Henrietta based on a mailer we had received. In the first consultation, we were impressed with Henrietta's excellent skills in listening to our goals for the project and in her professional approach. She was able to transform our vague ideas into a final outcome that exceeded our expectations. While it was a major project, the work moved quickly with excellent attention to detail. Most of all I appreciated the fact that Henrietta requested and always listened to our input.. The decisions suggested and chosen resulted in a beautifully completed bathroom that is handicapped accessible...enabling both my husband and I to age in place..
