Jennifer's award winning designs are primarily residences and second homes, developing designs that reflect her clients’ personalities and lifestyles. Whether working with simple accessories or comprehensive home designs, she keeps her clients feeling comfortable and back for more. Styling a space is a partnership and requires open communication, the process should be fun, and always a reflection of the client. Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics, with an emphasis in Interior Design and Textiles, from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She has received several Spirit Awards in her 25 years of experience. She is always learning and seeking out the latest design trends, as well as keeping true to the classics.

The day my husband and I walked into the Ethan Allen store in Maple Grove and were greeted by Jennifer we felt like it was meant to be, we didn't have an appointment and she had time to help us. We were on a mission to find furniture for our kitchen, dining area and living room in our newly built cabin. Jennifer listened to what we were wanting, worked with our floor plan and showed us different pieces that would work. Jennifer was willing to spend the time with us until we got it all figured out and were able to accomplish our mission. Once our order was in place she was also very prompt at keeping us informed on the progress of our order. When we were ready to finish other areas we didn't hesitate to go back to Jennifer and again she was very helpful. She is a talented lady with a great personality which makes her easy to work with.

Jennifer is a great interior designer. She sought to understand who I am, my style and needs. Additionally, she ensured that I creating a space that is soft, spacious, warm and welcoming. I also appreciate the moments when she has said 'no' to some of my ideas. Jennifer has a great perception, sense of space and can transform a space in to something enjoyable. I also appreciated her guidance in wall paint color. I am enjoying my new furniture pieces. Jennifer has approached everything with grace and ensured that I was satisfied with my purchase. When there has been quality issues with a few of the pieces, Jennifer attends to the matter quickly and she has been a great advocate for me. I am grateful for her support and guidance.

We had an amazing design experience with Jennifer. She helped us with furniture selection for our family room, den and dining room of our new-build Villa. Jennifer met all the challenges of our space and integrated some of our existing pieces into the design. She took the anxiety and guesswork out of decisions, listened closely to our needs, and was excellent about following up with us. Jennifer helped make our design cohesive but very functional in a small living space. I am so glad that I had her expertise and would have had a difficult time doing this on my own.

Whether you're looking to update a room or refurnish an entire home, we highly recommend Ethan Allen. It has been our primary source for expert design and high-quality furniture for our move into a new home this year. Jennifer Darnell at the Maple Grove, MN store is simply the best! She has great design skills and an innate ability to listen to customers and help select great options fitting our tastes and styles. Our multiple furniture orders have been well-managed, and Jennifer has consistently kept us informed about expected arrival dates and any delays. The delivery team was the best we've ever experienced. Jennifer sent a note each day furniture was scheduled to arrive. She wanted to make sure it went smoothly, and that we were happy with the end result. She's great! We highly recommend her services and Ethan Allen furnishings.

Jennifer was so helpful not only with advising us on what furniture would look right in our family room, but also giving us ideas for bringing some of our other rooms up-to-date. She really paid attention to our current style and pointed us in a direction that was still very much us, We had not done much updating in 10 years and it was so nice to have someone so experienced guide us. Jennifer also referred us to a few great places that could help us in areas such as flooring. We look forward to working with Jennifer again in the near future!

Jennifer helped me with several projects all that compete for our favorite room! Dining room chairs, comfortable game room, amazing pillows and accessories throughout our home. Furthermore, she patiently consulted on a full redo of my Mother’s living room updating it from 1970 to classic enviable 2020! It is a comfortable, functional, attractive space that my Mom can’t get enough of! I thank Jennifer for all of her patience and spot on recommendations.
