My wife and I have been working with Jen for over 9 months and she has made our waterfront home on the North Fork of Long Island feel truly like our own. We have worked with other designers in other homes and often they had an attitude of “I know best!” Not Jen - she listens to your ideas first, and incorporates them into a plan with gentle suggestions and an open mind. She has great attention to detail and her fees are more than reasonable. We will continue to work with her.

I cannot say enough about how amazing Jen is. I began working with Jen about halfway through a major home renovation, after my original designer had been let go. While that situation is can be very challenging, Jen handled it with ease and was able to seamlessly navigate - and to the extent needed, change - the design work that had already been done while also moving ahead with creating exactly the type of space I had envisioned. She is incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and collaborative, and she has a talent for finding beautiful pieces, textures, and colors that create a perfect aesthetic. She transformed my home into a peaceful sanctuary that I love living in. Jen is also a lovely and caring person, and she was able to make the renovation process (which can sometimes feel overwhelming) a very positive experience overall. Very highly recommended!

Jen was terrific to work with. Always available prompt and used solution based thinking. She expertly guided us through design decisions and delivered on the timeline. She really understood our aesthetic and coordinated everything for us. All her vendors were top notch. I cannot recommend her enough.

Jen DeLalio is a true Interior Design professional. Not only is Jen extremely talented and organized, she is a joy to work with. My husband and I have built and renovated multiple homes, and have worked with designers on every project. With the exception of two trips to meet with Jen, this home was completed long distance with no issues. Jen listened to our vision and turned it into a reality beyond our wildest dreams! We worked with Jen two separate times and both were great experiences. Jen is very easy to work with, not pushy but offers her guidance and opinions in a very user friendly way. Jen is amazing with color (I now feel I wouldn't want to make any color choices without her ). She is extremely detail oriented ,organized and has creative ideas. I have worked with other designers/decorators and NEVER enjoyed the experience or outcome of the project. I cannot say enough positive things about Jen.

I can't say enough good things about Jen and JKate Designs! Jen helped us to redecorate our East Hampton home - both indoor and outdoor furniture as well. She is super professional, super creative and absolutely lovely to work with. Jen easily grasped our vision and was able to provide design options that exceeded our expectations and made it so easy for us. Highly, highly recommend!

Jen helped me accomplish phase one of a refurnishing project at my home, which entailed decorating a vacant guest room and updating an empty hallway and several odd nooks in other areas in my home. My new and updated guest room now features a beautiful Murphy bed courtesy of California Closets, an area rug, 2 comfortable chairs which face water front, and a new desk, which allows the guest room to also serve as an additional office/work space. Jen also selected a gorgeous chaise lounge for my bedroom that provides a comfortable usable space for sunny, lazy afternoons. She also selected a custom upholstered bench by the front entrance that updates the space with an eye popping material. Shelves were installed in two rooms to easily display art work and my personal office was modified and updated. Jen earns five stars on several fronts... having an easy going, patient, and friendly demeanor, Jen is incredibly easy to work with. Jen is the top professional, always listening to my ideas and respectfully making recommendations which complement rather than dismiss my own. She has an excellent eye for design and doesn't shy away from challenges. Jen never overwhelmed me with samples or suggestions. Instead, she would present a few designs and then share a few more if I felt we were going in the wrong direction, although I'll admit, her top 3 choices were usually mine as well! Generally, we were able to stay within my budget and I look forward to phase two at some point in the future. I'm thrilled as the look and feel of my old house is transforming into a clean, modern, uncluttered, and classic home.

Jen helped us design and complete our dining and living rooms. Her expertise and professionalism saved us so much time and money. She helped to make our visions fit proportionately and beautifully into each room. I highly recommend JKate Designs and look for to using Jen again for future projects!

Jen is the best! We worked with Jen to design to design our newly purchased income property and she was a lifesaver. She took the time to understand our needs for the house and our style. Jen consistently presented design that exceeded our expectations while staying within our budget and timeline. Her ideas were practical, creative and her recommendations included details geared towards a the needs of a rental property. I can’t imagine launching this property without her expertise and input throughout the process. Communication with Jen was also very easy. Jen is a self-starter and consistently drove the process forward. Because we don’t live near the property most of our communication was virtual, although we did at the house occasionally. Jen shared Google Docs with design ideas that were enabled for commenting, spreadsheets tracking purchases and we schedule FaceTime calls to look at pieces as needed. As a working mother of a 3 year old, I very much appreciated Jen’s flexible working style and her attention to detail. Through out the process I my husband and I were able to review her ideas in the off hours and schedule quick calls with her to discuss feedback or next steps. She was able to be onsite more often and oversee vendors. Again, she was a lifesaver. I highly recommend Jen for any design project and I look forward to working with her again in the future.

Jen was so helpful in planning a furniture layout, suggesting vendors, helping choose paint and fabric -- the works! Each step of furnishing a new house felt much easier with her expert touch. She was also budget conscious and was able to suggest both high/low options for each decision. I highly recommend her!

Jen was fantastic to work with and has a great eye. Given the crazy year we did everything virtually and she was able to bring it all to life for our new home without ever setting foot inside. From a process standpoint she was easy to talk to, tracked everything meticulously and helped manage time and budget. She took our feedback along the way and the end result is a home we are excited to be in every day. She helped push us outside our comfort zone and suggested things we wouldn’t have considered and are so happy we did. Can’t recommend her highly enough and look forward to future projects together.

Jen helped us furnish and decorate our entire house. She took a lot of time to figure out our taste and vision for the house and put together the exact look and feel we were going for. Jen transformed our house in quogue and made it a truly special place. She worked with us from the biggest detail (layout, paint, structural changes) to the smallest (bookshelves decoration, picture placement etc). She is organized and detailed. She very quickly picked up on our preferences and was able to deliver our vision (and more!). We have since recommended her to our family and friends. She is exceptional!

Jen helped us transform a dated interior to the light and airy feel we were looking for. She is very accommodating and innovative and is a pleasure to work with. She kept things within our budget while allowing the look we wanted. I will work with her again for other rooms in our house!

Jen worked with me to decorate my new beach house to get it ready for move- in condition by the beginning of summer. From the very first day I met her, she impressed me immensely with her knowledge and her flexibility to work around my ideas. I hadn't really used a decorator for a full project before so it was certainly a learning process for me and she was fantastic at guiding me through different options for the house. One of her best skills I think was the fact that she was very versatile and able to shop from the high end retailers as well as from discount places. Her organizational skills were superb and she maintained a keen log of everything she was buying/returning/recommending for us in a google spreadsheet which made things really easy for me from a budget perspective. I loved having her as a sounding board for different thoughts and she really kept my interests and priorities in mind when recommending something. Above all, she is just lovely and a pleasure to work with! She made my beach house look absolutely amazing and paid attention to every little detail from paint to picture frame from furniture to book ends! She made it perfect. I f you have reached this review and are in search of someone for a decorating project, I highly recommend giving Jen a call! You will not regret it!!

Jen of JKate Designs recently decorated our income property in Ortley Beach, NJ. She selected paint colors, furniture, accessories and created layouts. She was easy to work with and talk to about likes and dislikes. She worked within our budget and the entire process was smooth. This house was an interesting challenge, as she had to work around some existing decor/furniture, that maybe we both would not normally have selected on our own, but it came with the house and we did not want to get rid of it all. She selected items/colors so that together, the "old" and new have created a beautiful, timeless look.The outcome is stunning and we could not be happier! The property has been listed for rent for about 2 weeks and we already have 5 summer weeks rented. we are convinced it's the decor and could not have done it without her. We are looking forward to our next project together.
