Jamie and my family started working together on a remodel when we purchased an older home in Westlake Village, CA. We had moved from out of state, bought a home during Covid and found out when we moved in what a project we had on our hands. Jamie was our lead designer and over the timeframe, brought ALL the trades to our project including design, structural, general contracting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, cabinet making and flooring. We also needs configuration changes within our layout and Jamie led that process also coming up with ways to improve flow, and developed plans for our master bath, walk in wardrobe and kitchen configurations. So I have an attention to detail and one of the key attributes Jamie brought was EVERY single trade who showed up was top notch. I mean above normal expectations were met with them and when problems arise, as they do in any project, options to solve arrived quickly, decisions were made and course corrections occurred. What she also brought was decision making at the appropriate times - which sounds obvious but when one thinks about a remodel - there are so many decisions to make but she did well at “hey focus here now - we will get to that”, which means we focused on the right things we felt at the right time. Budget wise, all the work was as expected, everything was always up to date and current and we didn’t experience any surprises as we progressed that were not our decisions on scope, etc. We completed late in 2022 and we are very happy with all the work done and have high regard for Jamie and her extended team who were just the ultimate professionals. I would never have been able to assemble anywhere the quality of the people we had without her help and that on its own was something I appreciated, in addition to her expertise in other areas.

I found Jamie King here on Houzz. I looked through her portfolio of work displayed here and thought that it was exactly the style that I wanted for my home. Jamie developed an amazing floor plan for my new kitchen. During the remodeling process she was always only a phone call away. She visited the worksite frequently to make sure that things were being done according to her high standards. The contractors and artisans that she brought in all did really amazing work. Any issues that came up were dealt with quickly and efficiently. My new kitchen is gorgeous and it’s even better than I had hoped. I look forward to working with Jamie on any future projects I may have.

If there were 20 stars Jamie King earned them and more! She took charge of an entire kitchen remodel that resulted from a water leak and oversaw the entire project from design to completion. Her vision transformed our home and our spirit during the crazy times of Covid -19. We are blessed to wake up everyday and see our incredible kitchen and family room that only she could make possible. She is worth every cent and her management of the our project an investment that will show its return for a lifetime. After talking to several kitchen contractors that didn't have any vision for what we wanted, we were given Jamie's name from a family friend. We met with Jamie - she spent time getting to know us. She presented a few designs - all of which included our wish list. We did some pivoting a couple of times but in the end, it was exactly what we wanted and works great in our space. Jamie had the vision and knowledge to bring it to life - this was definitely what was missing with all of the kitchen contractors we met. She also project managed, sourced the contractors and was available ANY TIME (and when I say any time, I mean day or night) for questions/feedback. Fun fact: the same contractor that we met with in the beginning that couldn't see the vision ended up building our cabinets - he was so impressed with her design. Pro tip: don't let anyone convince you that you need to follow old 'rules.' WE LOVE OUR KITCHEN!

Jamie, of JLK Interiors, managed our project, provided design ideas, and introduced us to sub-contractors. A designer we have worked with before, brought Jamie to us to manage the project, and the two of them collaborated on design ideas. Jamie is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and manages the subs so that they perform well and on time. She is a creative designer, but does not sacrifice function for form. Our project was born from a water leak and involved our entire downstairs - new cabinetry design in our laundry room and office, a refacing and refinishing of our kitchen with a new counter top and backsplash, new flooring and repainting. We are very pleased with the outcome and can recommend JLK Interiors wholeheartedly!

We hired Jamie to design a new kitchen for our condo and we are thrilled with the results. Jamie is very professional, up front about the costs to our budget and guided us through the entire process. Working with Jamie King has been so wonderful. We recently completed a bathroom remodel and a master bedroom addition of a sitting room and large closet. She worked side by side with the fabulous contractor she recommended. She drew plans and executed them in the most professional manner She advised us on decor and plumbing products and we are very pleased with all the choices she suggested, from paint colors and carpet selection. I recently hired JLK for a remodel of my bedroom. The bedding and rug were old and torn, and the room needed refreshing. Jamie King did an incredible job well within my budget. She found bedding on sale that matched the existing furniture, and then pulled everything together with a rug, and pillows for the bed and couch. She has a great eye and was an absolute pleasure to work with. The room is so much lighter and prettier now - I love it!

We were so fortunate to have found Jamie King as a designer. From our initial consultation through delivering us our dream kitchen, Jamie did an excellent job of managing an incredibly aggressive schedule (due to the fact that we lived through the renovation with our one year old). The contractor and subcontractors that Jamie utilized were top notch and respectful of our home and always left the job site clean throughout the process. We love our new kitchen and great room area, and wouldn’t change a single detail!

What a pleasure it was working with Jamie! Jamie oversaw a nearly-down-to-the-studs bathroom renovation for us (plus wood floors in half the house, 2 closets and some other miscellaneous work). Jamie has the strong, attentive personality needed to oversee the top-quality specialists she brought in to complete the work (tiling, floors, cabinets etc.). We went in to our project with a vision in mind. She helped us greatly improve on that vision while staying true to the style. Her suggestions are some of our favorite details in the bathroom -- switching from herringbone to small square marble tiles in the shower for both design and practical purposes (less slippery and beautiful) and putting in a 2 level recessed shower shelf (no more toiletries on the shower floor!) are just two examples. Jamie is fantastic at what she does. We will definitely hire her again for future kitchen and bathroom projects!

We LOVE our kitchen. We knew we wanted a designer who really knew kitchens and we’re so glad we met Jamie. We had a fantastic experience working with Jamie and would hire her again in a second. Jamie worked on a kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room remodel for us. We were selling our house so we wanted to stay within a strict budget and time line. Jamie managed the budget very tightly and offered excellent, creative solutions to help keep us within our budget (and time table) while making the most of our money in places that would have the most impact. In addition, as busy professionals, Jamie did an excellent job of shouldering the day-to-day management of the process and coordinating logistics, so it was a headache-free process for us. Having been through another recent remodel, I can't emphasize enough how much of a difference it makes in time and aggravation to have someone extremely competent at project management, and Jamie gets top marks in that regard. The entire project turned out beautifully and our house is now in escrow for well over our asking price. We are delighted with the "wow" factor we managed to achieve relative to the tight budget. I have no doubt that the work Jamie did was a huge factor in getting top dollar for our house, and we feel every penny on both her time and the project was well spent.

My husband and I hired Jamie King, of JLK Interiors, to update our master bath. Our home was built in the 80's and the bathroom was mirrored everywhere including the ceilings. It also had mauve marble on the floors, shower walls, and countertops. We knew the room needed updating, but my husband and I were reluctant to start the process. After meeting with several designers, we hired Jamie because she presented the most comprehensive plan and design layout for the room. What impressed us most was her clear communication skills and her willingness to listen to our ideas. She walked us through step by step with material and design selections which included cabinetry design, natural stone shopping, porcelain flooring layouts, lighting, spa elements such as whirlpool tubs, plumbing fixtures, and finish hardware. She was patient and supportive in creating a design that was both current but unique to our individual preferences. For example, she incorporated crown moldings and wood cabinetry that had both a modern and traditional feeling. Jamie also referred us to an amazing team of sub-contractors that worked harmoniously and with rhythmic precision. What was most appreciated, were the daily e-mails and messages discussing what to anticipate during the demolition and construction phases. From design concept to completion, Jamie was on the job as liaison between subs and daily activity. At the end of the construction phase, Jamie added the finishing decorative touches that added warmth and character to the room. We highly recommend Jamie of JLK Interiors for her keen eye for color, design, and attention to detail.

I am a cabinet maker who has done many projects ranging from kitchens, bathrooms, bookcases and entertainment centers. I have never worked with a designer who is more diligent in her efforts and creative in her designs. Jamie always takes into concideration her clients wishes and input as she realizes that she is not the one who will be living in the spaces she is redoing. It is always a pleasure to work with her as she is very clear about the outcome she is seeking. In addition to her oversite of her projects. Jamie has surrounded herself with skilled tradesmen of all trades which helps her not only have beautiful results but projects that are void of problems and headaches. I highly recommend her.

Jamie did a complete gut and remodel of two of my bathrooms. She interviewed us to determine our likes and dislikes and designed bathroom plans. Jamie has a great eye for detail and colors. She suggested ideas (moving doors over which didn't cost much but improved the aesthetics) and selected materials for our approval. She put a design on the master bathroom floor that is beautiful and ties all of the colors together. The contractor and craftsmen that she uses are professional and do excellent work. I am very happy with the results and could not have done anything that comes close to the design had I done it myself. We joke that we are going to the Ritz Carlton when we go to use the master bath. It is truly a WOW bathroom. I highly recommend Jamie and will use her again.

We recently purchased a home and Jamie was fantastic in helping us transform an ordinary home into our dream home. She designed our kitchen remodel as well as coordinated the color and design theme for the rest of the home. Her knowledge of color, materials and fixtures was invaluable. Jamie's subs ( workman) were professional, experienced , timely and clean. The results were beautiful and her fees extremely reasonable. She listened to what our needs and budget concerns were. JLK Interiors is tremendous! Jamie helped in picking the most perfect colors for the walls in my new home with the explanation as to why they would compliment the particular floors that we had in the entire house. She was right on and the entire house pulls all together with floors and colors! She also helped in choosing a granite and marble backsplash for the kitchen that couldn't have been a better choice! We love our new home!

Jamie did an amazing job of reworking my existing kitchen to give it an updated look. Her ability to look at a wall and transform it into a pantry with considerable storage space, as well as find room for a double oven and microwave transformed the look and function of my kitchen. Her suggestion to change the lighting, add crown molding and use of accent tile was a cost effective way to update this space. Jamie is truly gifted and has the ability to make simple changes that have a huge impact.

We hired Jamie to remodel our master bath. The room had some challenges that I just assumed we would have to live with. But Jamie came up with a design that moved a doorway over a foot or two and that small change completely transformed the room. The end result was spacious, functional and incorporated everything, and then some, on our wish list. She thought of things I didn't even know I wanted or needed! Jamie's choice of materials and finishes is always top notch. She has great vision and created a very serene master bath that I enjoy every time I walk in.

After 22 years in our home, we finally decided to remodel an original 1960's kitchen. The kitchen was tiny with a small adjoining breakfast nook. Jamie created a brilliant floor plan which involved making one large room out of the two small ones, closing off an unneeded door and removing a short wall between the kitchen and the family room. The result is a large airy kitchen, with a 4 x 7 island, and view lines into the family room. In addition, she brought creative ideas, including relocating the sink and making it the focus of the room using specially designed wood accents and unusual tile details. Her choices of colors were inspired, and involved a palette that we never would have considered on our own. Her general contractor and subs were all exceptional, and a pleasure to work with. Jamie was at all times cost conscious and offered us options based on price. The final result has received unanimous rave reviews and was worth waiting 22 years for. On a personal level, Jamie is extremely easy to work with, bright and fun, but most of all, she was a total professional. She is now in the process of re-doing our master bath and we can't wait to see how it turns out.

Jamie King created the vision I had in mind when I purchased an updated 1921 bungalow in Pasadena, CA. I knew I wanted something totally different from my previous homes, yet still incorporporate some of my favorite antiques. The result is a wonderful combination of clean lines with soft touches that is exactly what I wanted. It was important for me to be involved in every step of the process and working with Jamie was thoroughly delightful, as well as great fun. I wanted this home to have a warm and inviting feel, yet not be fussy. Jamie had a sense of what I wanted and helped create my perfect home.

Jamie helped me redecorate the master bedroom. She was very easy to work with and mindful of our budget. She helped me leave my comfort zone with a color that I probably would never have considered and we love it. She also took note of the furniture arrangement in the living room.
