Highly recommend JR. After having the stressful experience of designing a kitchen and a bathroom on our own, having JR was a real breath of fresh air. From the design to the final finished product, JR was involved to make sure everything went smoothly. JR did a fabulous job, and we are very pleased with our newly remodeled Master Bath.

When Joseph Rodrigues (JR) came to our house for the very first time, my husband and I immediately felt comfortable with him. He was a good listener, polite, professional, knowledgable, truthful and loved on our dog! After explaining to him our needs, ideas and dreams, he shared his amazing creation with us which included a wall removal between the dining room and kitchen. His design layout of the kitchen was exactly what we had imagined and he was able to incorporate a difficult existing load bearing post within the island. I was especially impressed with how he "flowed" our entertainment wall into a needed workspace for me. He listened to our requests of keeping the colors neutral, warm and simple and provided amazing samples for us to choose from with the floor, cabinets, backsplash, lighting and hardware. He was very patient with me as I struggled with the cabinet faces and was always honest with me when my ideas were going the wrong "direction". Once demolition began, JR was consistently involved throughout the 4 month process. He always communicated with the contractor, subcontractors and us! Whenever I would text him, he'd respond quickly. We will not hesitant to have JR help us with a project again! We love JR and everything he did to make our home comfortable and beautiful.

We were very happy with the designs provided and the finished product is beautiful. We remodeled the kitchen and updated all the furniture downstairs and it all came together perfectly.

JR, the owner of Joseph Rodrigues Interiors, is what you need if you are searching for an interior designer. He designed improvements to my bathrooms and kitchen. I work for an architectural firm, and it was clear from the onset that JR is a true professional: organized, passionate and a candid partner in the design process. The design turned out beautiful. In fact, I do not think it would be an exaggeration to say that it could be featured in a high quality magazine. It’s clear that JR loves his work. From the development of the contract, the design, the selection of materials and the construction of the improvements, JR proved himself to be a consummate pro.

From start to finish, JR was fantastic to work with. He was detailed, timely, and his design aesthetic brought together everything we wanted in a way that met the practical needs of our family, but with gorgeous style. Our kitchen remodel included opening walls, raising ceilings, moving appliances and plumbing, and cohesively connecting multiple rooms - a scary endeavor to take on for first time renovators. JR made the process manageable and stayed within our budget. The highlight was his management of everyone who worked on the project to ensure things ran smoothly and on-time. There is no way we could have tackled this remodel by ourselves, and no way it would have turned out as gorgeous without JR. We are so thankful for his work and highly recommend him!

I can’t believe we live in such a beautiful house, and it’s all thanks to Joseph. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. My house is a mid century ranch that sorely needed an update, and he transformed it into a timeless, airy, coastal cottage with a modern touch. The project included significant structural changes, and Joseph worked in tandem with the architect and contractors so that the burden was lifted from me. Even my contractors said they’d never seen such an organized and fastidious designer - starting with the indexed binder he created that had all appliance specs, color specs, etc. He frequently walked the job and found errors made by the contractor due to his structural knowledge. (Joseph know structure and design.) I am controlling by nature but conscientiously made the decision to give Joseph 100% control of everything. He would always ask for our input to make sure we were aligned with his vision, and something unimaginably beautiful was created. Admittedly, I didn’t always understand his final vision, but that’s why he’s an artist and I’m not. However, I trusted his proposals and gave him free range to execute, and I’m glad I did. Seriously - just give up control to him and you’ll be amazed at the end product. We asked him to blend an airy, organic coastal style with Nordic and modern minimalist… and somehow, we got that and something more. Major renovations aren’t easy, but he guided us the whole way.

We worked with JR on a major home remodel and could not be more pleased with the result. From the beginning of the process, he internalized our project goals and wish list — including preserving the historic character and unique architecture of our home while updating the dated feel — and helped us create a design which exceeded our expectations. JR was communicative and adaptable throughout the process. He provided additional options when we were uncertain about certain patterns or finishes, heard our concerns, and incorporated our feedback into a design we’re proud to have in our home. Working with JR was a wonderful experience and we would happily recommend him to anyone undertaking any ambitious design project.

JR helped us with a complete remodel of our master bathroom and closets and it was such a pleasant experience from beginning to end. We wanted an updated, modern, luxurious, tranquil bathroom with lots of storage. Functionality was key. We came to JR with our wish list (everything from a bidet to a skincare fridge) and he provided options that were both functional and beautiful. Frankly, we didn't realize how beautiful his design was until we started to see all the details come together. JR thought of special touches and finishes (like a gorgeous slab framed window enclosure) that we didn't even know we wanted and yet fell in love with immediately. He is a perfectionist in all the best ways. Excellent communicator and really listens. We put our trust in his skills and he delivered a bathroom that gives us all the functionality we asked for and is more beautiful than we imagined. I also have to give so much credit to his tradespeople. JR has a wonderful, highly skilled team that shows up ready to work and they all take great pride in their work. Needless to say, we are so happy!

It was a pleasure working with Joseph Rodrigues (JR) on our complete remodel of our kitchen (which is pictured on houzz.com). We are so happy to wake up to a glorious kitchen with a breakfast nook & coffee bar every morning! We get so many complements on the colors, layout, appliances, and timeless style and we couldn’t have done it without JR. He also worked with us on the redesign of our fireplace, wallpaper in dining room, new area rugs, and paint color and new flooring throughout the entire house. JR did a great job getting to know our style, personalities, budget, timing and the overall vibe we are looking for in the design. JR is very talented and gives great advise, but more importantly he is a good listener and extremely patient. He spent a lot of time listening to what we were trying to accomplish and he was able to present several options for us to choose from for each stage of the process. He was always professional and paid attention to all the details we would have overlooked. He connected us with vendors and suppliers to help us lower the costs of the overall project. He knows the timing on supplies, which during these crazy times, was very helpful. JR is very dedicated to his clients and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. He drove the process and always kept us on-track with things we needed to do. JR made some design suggestions that we would have never selected on our own and we’re very happy we went with his recommendations. It was a pleasure to work with Joseph (JR) on our kitchen remodel and bathroom update. He was so easy to work with, always professional and kind, while providing great insight and ideas. We appreciated that JR would listen to our vision and provide options that maintained aesthetics while keeping an eye towards resale value and (importantly) staying within our budget. We did this project during COVID, when there was a shortage in materials; however, JR was able to connect us with suppliers and worked to get us great pricing too. We definitely plan to work with JR when we take on our next project, and we could not more enthusiastically recommend him. The best proof of his talent is that, after seeing our beautiful kitchen, our friends have started working with JR on their remodels.

My wife and I have nothing but good things to say about JR and the job he performed in the complete renovation of our master bath. I'd like to start with the design - JR listened to us carefully, brought us several options, adjusted his designs based on our feedback, and generally made it easy to move forward. From there, he introduced us to the contractor and the cabinet-maker, both of whom we trusted absolutely (and with good reason, it turns out), given JR's recommendation. JR was present for the entire renovation process - he monitored the progress of the contractors and made sure the materials were not only what he ordered but of the quality he expected. He was especially helpful during the biggest headache: we had ordered high-end custom faucets and fixtures that were delayed (due to Covid). JR took it upon himself to interact with the manufacturer and generally made it so we didn't have to think about it. We appreciated JR's designs and feedback so much that we had him help us with other items in the house - new hardwood floors, some new furniture and accessories after the renovation. Throughout the process, JR was responsive, communicative and responsible. We could not recommend him more highly, and we will be sure to use him again for our next project.

Wow! Wow! Wow! My renovation came out amazing thanks to Joseph! I hired Joseph because he renovated my mother’s house. I was apprehensive at first because I have a very different aesthetic than my mother, but I could tell that JR had a great eye and that he listens to his clients. When we moved a couple of months ago from a different country we didn’t have any clue where to start buying furniture for a big house we were renting. We started to work with Joseph and told him that we wanted to have a Scandinavian style home which is minimalistic and modern. All the furniture needed to be something we can use for many years and take with us to a different apartment if needed. I think Joseph was doing exactly that and we could not have done this without his help. He was taking his time to find us furniture which were good for our budget but most of all what we liked. Joseph is easy to work with and really listening what his clients want. Will definitely use him in the future if we need any help!
