Although "furnished", our living room was cold and uninviting for many years. Janet and Dana did a wonderful job decorating the room. The living room is now warm and welcoming. Our favorite is a gallery wall of family pictures. Not only were the pictures tastefully framed but the way they were laid out on the wall looks great! And..... the pictures are no longer tucked away in a cabinet! Janet and Dana were a pleasure to work with. They listened to what we were looking for and did a great job. Thank you!

Janet was a pleasure to work with and delivered a beautiful implementation of the family room gallery wall I was looking for. She was very easy to work with and was able to quickly explain various options for scope, style and budget. With those parameters agreed to, she put together an initial proposal which was a perfect interpretation of what I had asked for. However, I realized I needed a change and asked her to add some additional pictures to my gallery. Janet provided me multiple options for the change and we quickly settled on a final solution. The finished product couldn’t be a better interpretation of what I approached Janet for and I am delighted with the outcome of my project

JRL Interiors did a beautiful job providing us with a complete update to our master bedroom and bath. This was not a simple task in that we requested that several elements of the existing bedroom be integrated into a coordinated color scheme that included fabrics, upholstered furniture, paint, vanity finish, lighting, rug and window treatments. The final look and feel is perfect - better than we ever imagined!

Janet is one of the most talented interior designers I have had the pleasure of working with. She has picked out fabulous paint colors for my rooms and she also finds the perfect items to accessorize with. When she comes to put it all together, the rooms look incredible! Another quality I appreciate about Janet is that she always considers my vision for a room but adds her creative perspective and the end result is always beyond my expectations.

We have used JRL for many projects since the late 1980s. Thye have been absolutely wonderful to work with. They have a remarkable ability to take my style (which has changed over the years) and adapt and improve it so that my amateur efforts turn out to be professional and beautiful. Their emphasis has been on comfort and practicality combined with visual beauty. The rooms that they have designed for us are favorites...the colors and fabrics, textures and embellishments have been wonderful, and they have taken into consideration our budget and needs. I would say that their strengths are color, combining textures and patterns and room layouts. We have had JRL do custom furniture, window decor, paint and wallpaper, kitchen and bath design....just about everything. We will use them again!

I have had many years experience with the services of JRL. Janet has helped me choose everything from paint color and curtains, to more recently, helping with the logistics of what to take from my previous home to my current one and how it would all fit tastefully. She is very detailed and knowledgeable with design, color, layout , furniture and all else having to do with decor. I have reduced my stress level many times by putting my trust in her knowledge. It has been about 15 years since my first consultation with JRL, and many wonderful experiences since. I know there will be more to come!

I have used Janet and her team on several occasions during our house renovation, from suggesting paint colors to space planning to resources for lighting. Janet is happy to consult as needed, either making all decisions or steering you in the right direction, coming in person and consulting via text or email. Janet helped us make our house a warm and welcoming sanctuary! Investing in her services is one of the best investments we made during (and after) our rehab of a 1950's fixer-upper Cape. My husband and I have worked with Janet over the past 3 years, since purchasing a small Cape house in West Concord. Janet was recommended by a friend to help us select a paint color for my home office. She immediately became a key member of our project -- and an extended member of our family. Using our existing furniture and accessories, Janet transformed the feel of our home key from cramped and crowded to flowing and welcoming. She helped us select paint colors and kitchen tile, suggested a major furniture re-arrangement of the living room furniture after move-in, helped us make a few small but strategic purchases, framed our family photos and arranged our existing plants, pictures and accent items. We later updated the sun porch. The furniture wasn't working in the room. It just didn't feel right. Janet walked in, immediately saw a repositioning, helped us buy a couple of additional items and -- voila -- another beautiful space we love as a sun room in the warmer months and a mud room in the colder months. Janet continues to be our "go-to" person for any design questions. Her vision and sense of style are remarkable. Her optimism and "can-do" attitude make it a pleasure to work with her. We highly recommend her! Janet transformed our home from ordinary and crowded to beautiful, flowing and warm, in a style that kept with our preferences and budget. She was the MOST VALUABLE member of our remodeling team. The house is very modest, yet people constantly compliment us on the house, especially the design elements Janet helped with.

I live in a house built in the late 1600s, that was in pretty rough shape when we bought it in 1984. I have tried many different decorators. Since I started working with Janet over 15 years ago, the house has been transformed. She is able to help me blend the old with the new to bring about a warm, beautiful, and inviting atmosphere. Many people comment on the warmth of the house. She gets my taste but I have seen her do beautiful work with more modern structures as well. The contractor that I work with said that he had never worked with a "decorator" with her level of knowledge about how the construction and the decorating come together. I have recommended her to many friends who have then recommended her to other friends. Her "touch" is obvious without the feeling of being over "decorated."

Working with Janet completely changed the way that I live in my home. She is truly a designer in that she focused on the look of my home but also how my family and I could live in our home making the most of our space. Every consultation is about both form and function: how do we design a space that is beautiful to look at but livable and organic, not overly designed or staged. Janet spent a great deal of time learning and understanding my aesthetic and my vision for how I hoped my home could look. She spent as much time considering my day-to-day activities so we could appropriately marry style with my lifestyle. Every meeting is collaborative and every decision is a discussion. Having worked with Janet now for many years, I would say my home continues to evolve into the best version of itself: it is beautiful, functional, practical and truly representative of me and my family.
