I highly recommend Judith Balis! She is an amazing designer, super fun and a great human being! We worked with her throughout the construction and interior design of our home. She made a significant impact at every phase. She's easy to work with- willing to take the lead when we were clueless and collaborative when we had a vision. She was also able to communicate effectively with the builder about what we wanted and answer random questions. Now that she is focusing on her stores, Feather & Twine and Bungalow Homes, everyone can take advantage of her keen eye for beautiful home furnishings! Judith did a phenomenal job designing our home. During the build process Judith helped us with everything from walk-throughs with our sub-contractors to determine fixture selections and locations (and the necessary wiring/plumbing that had to be run), to making selections with your builder at their showroom, to room design and layout (windows, sinks, etc.). Judith also has a store with a great variety of tasteful items that we purchased to design our home, with her design assistance. After we moved in, Judith brought from her store to our house a huge variety of items for us to choose from to design our shelving decorations and the look/feel of each room (ultimately we just let her make most of the decisions). Judith thinks of things that you won't think of as you're building / designing your home. To us it was very worth it to pay Judith take the reins and guide us through each decision throughout the process. I wouldn't build another home without her.

Judith has helped me with multiple projects over the last several years. She is not only a design genius but incredibly kind and genuine. The amount of thought and energy Judith puts into a project regardless of size and budget and her ability to nail it every time is why I continue to work with her and recommend her to all of my family and friends. Judith has gone above and beyond in helping me create a space we're proud to call home.

I absolutely loved working with Judith. She really listened to me and was able to capture my style, while gently guiding me away from items that would’ve been a mistake and leading me towards things to elevate the aesthetic of my home. Judith is professional, honest, funny, easy to work with and excellent at what she does. She created a home for us from a completely empty condo. Judith is a problem solver and will come up with terrific solutions to any "quirks" your home may have. Judith is the best! She is so creative and talented and has such a good eye for spacial features and color aspects. We have a 4300 sf home that she helped us take down to the studs in many rooms back in 2010, then built it back up. It was a huge job and probably more than she bargained for, since I had a family with three small children (ages 5 and 1 year old twins at the time). I was completely exhausted and stressed out and she put my whole house back together so seemlessly, patiently, and professionally. Her ideas can be such a small thing but can make such a big difference, for instance placing a giant mirror above our bathroom vanity to reflect the light and mountain views out the window behind it; taking a long counter area in our powder room that couldn't really be changed, and making it look so chic with an oversized, shallow, modern sink that made the counter space look more balanced....Genius ideas! She also will listen to your ideas and tell you straight up if they are good or not so good. This might be because she is also a personal friend that I have known since jr. high. She is an absolute gem and makes the process so fun! It has been so much fun to watch her thrive and be so passionate about what she does. It clearly shows in her work. Thanks so much, Judith!
