Juxtaposed Design

I moved into a new home earlier this year and really wanted to upgrade my living spaces with a style that felt more like me and to make it all feel more like home. Despite my pickiness Nicki was patient and helped me find pieces that I felt excited about and connected to. How I feel in my home is very important to me and I'm so excited to see it all come together. I couldn't have done this without your help!

We worked with Nicki to redesign our main living spaces, and I can honestly say—it changed everything. Our house never quite felt right before. I used to avoid having people over because the space felt unfinished and uninviting. I’d spend hours hunting for the “perfect” piece, bring it home, and it just wouldn’t work. It was frustrating and disheartening. Then a friend recommended Nicki, and we decided to reach out. I had no idea what to expect, but from the moment we filled out her questionnaire and met her, something clicked. We instantly bonded over a shared love of nature and the national parks, and from there, the process felt easy, collaborative, and even fun. Nicki has an incredible gift: she truly listens. Somehow, she managed to articulate what we were looking for, even when we couldn’t. The final result took our breath away. Our home now feels warm, welcoming, and finally like us. The best compliment we received? On two separate occasions, people have walked in and said, “Wow, this actually feels like you.” That moment meant everything. I’m so grateful for what we achieved together. Nicki didn’t just decorate a space—she transformed it into a reflection of who we are. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Our most recent project with Nikki exceeded our expectations once again. This was our fifth project with her so you'd think that would be hard to do, but it still turned out even better than we expected. Nikki is a joy to work with and we couldn’t be happier with both the process and the results!

Working with Nicki has been an absolute pleasure! She has ridden this almost year-long ride with us as we gutted and renovated our new home. She has been patient, gracious, and generous with her time. She has been mindful of our timeline and financial concerns and has always exceeded our expectations! We are excited to see our end project and can't wait to show our friends and family the final reveal!

Juxtaposed decorated our entire downstairs. Nicki planned every detail of our formal living room, formal dining, foyer, family room, kitchen, breakfast nook, and primary bedroom. She also helped us select pavers and garage doors. Juxtaposed’s adeptness in incorporating various textures and implementing layered designs truly elevates the space, creating a captivating and multifaceted ambiance. Nicki’s skillful fusion of different textures not only adds depth but also showcases a remarkable level of creativity, making each space both visually intriguing and aesthetically pleasing.

What a wonderful experience working with Nicki at Juxtaposed Design! She came through with everything we wanted in the design of our beach home! Her attention to detail is amazing and we absolutely LOVE the final results! Highly recommend!!

My husband and I needed help bringing our formal living room and dining room to life. We are so happy that we found Nicki. She has been wonderful to work with from start to finish. She has exceeded our expectations and we are beyond thrilled with how our rooms look now! We highly recommend her and look forward to working with her again on future projects! - Nicole and Leigh

Nicki is a true professional. She spent a significant amount of time learning our styles and our comfort with various furniture, art , carpets, drapes etc. She took this impossible task of redesigning our home and made it come true. We needed other professionals to help with flooring and millwork. She recommended excellent contractors. She tied everything together for a beautiful end product. We appreciate her more than a few words in a review can portray. We will be using her again for other upcoming projects.

We’ve now used Juxtaposed for five rooms in our home and, as you might be able to tell, we couldn’t be happier. Nicki has an amazing ability to execute a design that is exactly what we want, but that we don’t even know how to describe. That she is able to do it within our budget and with minimal stress (at least on our part) makes working with her a joy. If you want someone who can take ideas you can barely articulate and turn them into reality, in a personal and professional way, look no further.

Nicki did an amazing job. My husband and I have very different style preferences and she was able to combine our styles. It turned out better than I could have hoped for! I highly recommend juxtaposed.

Nicki was patient, understanding and offered valued advice during our decorating project. As a client who is not keen on shopping but wanted a finished product that felt comfortable and inviting, she met our expectations and stayed within an agreed budget. She took time to understand our preferences and pair products that would match our lifestyle. I was impressed with her communication and professionalism throughout the whole project. Most importantly, Nicki is kind and trustworthy, which in my opinion is invaluable. We look forward to filling the space she helped create with many family memories. N.K.

We have hired Nicki on a few projects now and she continues to impress us every time! I know what I want the end result to look like, but have no idea how to get there. Nicki takes the time to understand my vision and sees it through. The result is nothing short of fabulous. She is truly gifted at what she does.

Nikki has a reputation for beauty, quality, and excellent customer service. Once again, Nikki delivered on every point. Spending the time needed to accurately determine my desires, she excelled in asking fantastic questions and listening well (even accurately reading between the lines when I did not know how to exactly communicate what I wanted). Because of her guidance and expertise, I was able to get the update that not only met the functional needs of my family, but also the comfort and elegance my heart wanted.

I had a great experience with Nikki. She listened to my vision, then worked to come up with multiple concepts. It was not an easy task, and she kept going back to find alternative pieces whenever necessary to get the room just right. She is creative and able to find a mix of items that tie together very well.

We could not be happier that we chose Nicki with Juxtaposed Design to be our designer for our new home. After a new build, it can be exhausting to think about furnishing the home. We were changing from a traditional style to a modern coastal style. We wanted someone to take over, but yet at the same time, have a role in collaborating. Nicki enjoys stepping into that role with enthusiasm, efficiency, integrity and gifted artistic skill. This was no small installation, as we chose to do many rooms at the same time. Eight separate areas to be exact. She was not daunted by the size of the project. We benefited in doing it all at once, because of the economies of scale, with her research time and shipping cost savings. Her relationships with quality vendors allow her to create and bring the vision to life in ways with savings and style, that we could not have found using local stores. She listened to each of our different preferences with perception, to blend our styles. She created a timeline for accomplishing it and budget options for choosing. She kept in great touch with us along the way. She was decisive in crucial crossroads as things can fluctuate in a project. Then, it was like Christmas morning when we opened up the gift of each room that she created. We could’ve never accomplished on our own, what she did. She doesn’t just create a room, she creates an atmosphere. As best said by my teen daughter at the reveal, “this feels like a home now.” We can’t wait to begin enjoying our new retreat with each and every room. We are excited for others to enjoy the serenity and beauty that she created for us also. Already, we have gotten so many wonderful compliments. She brought our vision to life! Christy and Brant

I am currently building a home and I am using Nicki with Juxtaposed Design for help with my design choices. She has helped me so much along the process from the cabinet design process, paint color choices, flooring choices and faucet/hardware finishes. She has helped me make choices that flow with the feel of the home that I am trying to create. She listens to what you want and pays close attention to all the details! I highly recommend her!

After months of trying to figure out a challenging decorating project, I turned to Nicki for her expertise. I wish I had done it sooner! She was patient and careful to understand my vision while also offering her own. She delivered exactly what I described to her and stayed within my budget. She went above and beyond for our project and will definitely be using her expertise again.

Over the years Nicki has designed six rooms for us. She took the time to really listen to what was important to us and then designed the rooms accordingly. She understood our preferences, personalities, and lifestyle and brought tremendous positive energy, warmth, and enthusiasm to our project.. The entire process was a great collaboration that exceeded our expectations: inspiring, fun, and educational.

Nicki was very professional and responsive during the whole process. The space turned out amazing. I truly feels like it has always looked this way because it fits so closely to what I was looking to achieve!

We are building a new house and Nicki accompanied us to the design center to help us make our selections. We felt that Nicki enabled us to get the most out of our design center budget and to select things that will bring lasting beauty to our home. She asked us questions about what we wanted in our home and then helped us make decisions that will allow us to have the home we envision.

Nicki really took the time to tailor her interior decorating ideas and installation to my and my husband's personal tastes. We especially like the colors she chose for our walls. She added many choices and options that I would have never thought of and she is always professional, thoughtful, helpful, and encouraging. One thing that really appreciated, is her practical approach to decorating. She's always looking for the best prices and value.

Nicki brought so much to the table when helping me decorate my formal living/dining area. She brought a great deal of patience, honesty, creativity and her attention to detail is second to none. Nicki is an incredibly skilled designer who is a able to work with most any budget and any style!

Nicki was fabulous! She was very patient and really heard what we wanted. She put our vision into a reality seamlessly!

Nikki did an amazing job remodeling the playroom in my house. Nikki always took my opinions into consideration, along with adding her creativity to make the space special for my family and I. In addition to staying on the budget that we agreed on. She is such an efficient professional. I would never hesitate to contact her for any other project in my house and I feel very confident in referring her to anyone who’s interested in remodeling their home.

Design is personal. And, the person you work with should know how to tap into the humanness of the process while guiding, leading, and envisioning the end goal. This is Nicki in spades! Nicki is professional and caring. Her design services offer a unique blend of threading together: who you are, what you have, and what you need to create a LifeStyle Design. She helps draw out the amazing fingerprint of living spaces- which is often buried below the surface - to uncover and highlight household beauty. I loved working with her. I will hire her again and again across the years.

I worked with Nikki upon completion of our new construction home. I had a vision for what I wanted but was having a difficult time piecing it all together in the new space. During our consultation Nikki evaluated the space and really listened to my ideas and what I wanted to achieve. Nikki is not only a gifted and talented designer she is passionate about helping her clients bring their visions to life . The pieces Nikki chose for us were absolutely perfect and I could not be happier with the outcome. I would highly recommend Juxtaposed Design to anyone looking for quality design services.

We recently hired Nicki to decorate our living room space. We could write pages about how great the experience was, from the beginning when she took the time to truly understand what we wanted, to the end, when she delivered more than we thought was possible (and well within the budget we agreed on), and the almost effortless journey in between. At bottom, we could not be happier - either with the work Nicki did or the manner in which she did it. It is often hard to find someone who is both incredibly talented and enjoyable to work with, and we are so thankful we found both of those things in Nicki.

Nikki is excellent to work with, she really listened to what I wanted and worked with our budget! I’m so grateful for her direction and assistance because it has completely transformed the look of our home!

Nicki, You have completely transformed my daughters bedroom. Your expertise and lovely elegant style has made my girls feel like true princesses. You also did a wonderful job in the playroom.
