I had the pleasure of working with Kathie while building my new home with Parent Custom Homes. She was extremely helpful in bringing the vision I had for my new home to life. She took the time to listen to what I wanted to achieve with the design and truly understood me and how our family lives in our home. Her assistance with developing the design and making selections helped to bring the vision for my home to life. I was so impressed with her attention to detail especially with the cabinetry design. She didn't miss a single detail whether or not it was the weight of the mantle or the details of which curve to use on a toe kick bracket. Finally, she was a delight to work with! She was patient and made the sometimes overwhelming process of building a custom home fun and manageable. I would recommend her in a heart beat!

We worked with Kathie on two different custom home projects, the latest on a very time consuming project on the Mississippi River. She is wonderful to work with...amazing eye and attention to detail. Works well in letting you come up with ideas but also in helping you along to make timeless classy decisions you will love for many years to come. She caters to the kind of home YOU want, in my case a little modern, transitional and rustic. If I ever needed to meet with her, she would make the time to cater to our schedule. She doesn't settle until your happy or feels the space is perfect...example we had to change the color in room, would have loked fine in the original color but she felt it would be more dramatic in a different color and she was right! Absolutely love my home and could not have done it with out her expertise and professionalism. I receive compliments every time someone walks in my door.

We have used Kathie to help us find artwork, select paint colors, and choose furniture and drapery for our almost every room in our house. She also helped select all the flooring, lighting, and cabinetry when we were having our house built. She is great because she knows how to combine contemporary design with our tastes and it all ties together beautifully.

I truly enjoyed working with Kathie Karsnia. She helped me design my kitchen, formal dinning room and my living room. She was able to help me find my own style. She never would push ideas, rather steer me in the right direction and help me to pick the appropriate pieces for my space. She was able to find art work that fit my room through her connection as a buyer, I was able to look though many option that were not available in area she ordered them for me. She was able to motivate me to make a decisions when I was hesitant because of fear. She is a hard worker that gets the job done on a time line. I would recommend her highly to anyone in need of a designer.

Kathie is a dream to work with! Upon our first appointment I knew I'd love her. She stands back and allows us make decisions, (rather than pushing her design esthetic on us) and offers help and ideas when we need it. She is insightful, thoughtful, and very easy to work with. She got to know our vision and design concepts, and keeps us in line with that vision while making various selections. She is budget conscious and helps us stay within our means for any given decision. Kathie is extremely personable, professional, and prompt! She is never late for an appointment, and is always quick to return a call or an email. Anyone building a new home, renovating an old one, or redecorating a room would be fortunate to have her on the job.

Kathie has a natural gift for design - she is AMAZING! She takes the time to build a relationship with her customers and gets to know your likes and dislikes to ensure her ideas / concepts are aligned with your taste. We had the pleasure of working with Kathie to design our custom built home in Ham Lake. The design workstream required a lot of decisions and she made it EASY! When you work with Kathie you will have the opportunity to explore design and she will bring it to life in your own home. The final interior design of our home exceeded my expectations by far. We're looking forward to continuing our relationship with Kathie as we "fill in the blanks" in some of our key rooms. In closing, I highly recommend Kathie for any design needs/challenges. She is an expert all around.
