Kathryn is an absolute joy to work with. Her patience and attention to detail is outstanding. Kathryn is everything you need and want in a color specialist. I have worked with Kathryn on two separate houses. Before each project, she sat down with me to talk about my style and the colors I would like to incorporate- my over all vision. We then went to the sites, walked around and discussed. She explained many different variables that go into choosing colors. I was so impressed! Project 1: I live in a historic neighborhood and own a 1940’s craftsman’s style house. The house was very dull- I wanted to make this cute little house stand out within the neighborhood. Mission accomplished! I have had so many people pause in front of the house on their daily walks; people are now noticing the house! I have received so many compliments on the colors, thanks to Kathryn. Project 2: I wanted the main focal point of another historical home we own to be the door. She nailed it!

Kathryn did the wedding art work for us. This was her 3rd or 4th custom art project for me and we now consult on color ideas for our new home. Needless to say, I think she is phenomenal! Vibrant, uber creative, intelligent, easy to work/communicate with, and does not stop until she understands completely what her client is looking for. This is what impresses me most about Kathryn – while she freely offers her expert thoughts on colors, designs, layout, etc., she is insistent on knowing what her client wants and engages in a creative back and forth to get there. She asks questions, sends concepts via email (and snail mail when needed), sends color ideas, and basically does not leave any stone unturned that will help define the final project. She was sensitive to the stress that goes with planning a wedding and understood the limited amount of time available on my end. She brought everything needed for the group art project, announced the concept to the guests, guided them through the project, encouraged them and did her best to bring out their inner artist. Everyone loved her! After the final brush stroke was painted, she and I worked together to add final touches to get the look we were after. It was an experience I will never forget, and am forever grateful to her for this wonderful addition to our home that was created collectively by all our loved ones.

Working with Kathryn was such a wonderful experience. With her help I found the perfect color for my kitchen wall. She was very patient and kind.

Kathryn was absolutely great to work with! Our home was built 20 years ago and we were having everything painted and wanted an updated look. Kathryn came out to our home and and listened to what our hopes were then devised a color grouping to have the rooms flow much better from room to room. We are very happy with the end result and could not have ever completed the project without her expert eye!

I've not usually had a problem picking out paint colors but became stumped in my latest residence - a 100 yr. old farmhouse. Kathryn came out and successfully managed to merge my décor (antiques/primitives) with appropriate period colors and combinations. Ten months later (my bad!), the project finally commenced and I couldn't believe what I saw! Loved the beige walls with the darker trim and how everything flows from room to room. She's so friendly, enthusiastic, not to mention very a very astute decorator. Hire her - you won't be disappointed! Thank you, Kathryn!

We loved working with Kathryn! We did a kitchen remodel that also included removing wallpaper and painting areas in our kitchen and an adjoining room. Kathryn was wonderful in working with us on color palettes, suggestions to try out some color combos we were considering, and having a perspective on color "feelings"/ light impacts, etc. in the rooms. We love the color combinations we ended up with and have had many compliments. Kathryn also gave us solid feedback on tile, counter top, and flooring elements we were choosing. We will miss having her in Madison for any future projects!

Kathryn helped me choose paint colors for my new home. She went above and beyond, spending extra time to make sure I was happy with my choices.

We have had kathryn’s professional guidance in helping us update our kitchen, specifically having our kitchen cupboards painted a cream color after having an oak stain for years. I was very hesitant to do this, but she came out and really helped assure us it was a good idea, and helped us pick a color that was warm yet updated our kitchen it works nicely with our family room and I’m so glad we had kathryn’s professional guidance! She reminded me of my sister who is an interior designer in Colorado. She knew the questions to ask and many things to consider when updating a room. We were so very happy and have had many compliments .Im so glad we did this! It totally brightens up our kitchen, yet is warm and welcoming! She knows what to consider! Thank you Kathryn!
