Kim selected all interior finishes and furnishings for our speculative custom home project in Breckenridge, Colorado. It was an award winning home in the Parade of Homes that year, and sold within 6 months of completion. Not only did she provide complete interior design services, but she also helped furnish the home for temporary rental during the winter ski season of 2008 / 2009. She contributed greatly to the total success of the venture.

My husband and I hired Kim Fancher to not only be our decorator, but, also, to oversee the construction of our new home in Granbury, Texas. We can't give enough accolades to her. She did an amazing job for us. We explained the style we were looking for and she got it right on the mark. It was a two year project and she worked in a very competent and professional way with all of those involved in the building and decorating of our home. What started out as just asking for a little Fluff and Puff advice, has opened up a world of possibilities for the potential of how great our home can look. I received paint color advice which looks so good. Furniture rearrangement and placement. I was introduced to a window specialist who took two sets of drapes, redesigned them and rehung them. I paid a fraction of what it would have cost me brand new. I get to enjoy the fabric I like in a new way. I have two more sets I would like redone. When we had to choose tile for two bathrooms, I was met at the showroom and was guided through the maze of tile choices. The shower tile blends perfectly with the existing floor tile. The best part is they are using so many items I have on hand to change the look of the each room. By doing this I can roll the savings over to purchase good quality items to complete the room such as rugs and pillows. I am so impressed, feel no pressure and it has been a very pleasent experience. Kim is a delight to work with. She creates beautiful living spaces that are livable and appreciates the furniture I have and works with it. As usual, she was very professional in every aspect of the engagement. She showed up on time, and brought with her good ideas for color and bath room fixtures. She is very consious of the budget you set and came up with inventive ways to stay within that budget. Kim has so much talent and uses her gift so elegantly. Her fluff and puff session was amaing in how she used what I already had and made each room look so much better. She is really good of finding things out of the ordinary that make a room POP! She is quick to reply to my questions and always honors her appointments with me. Kim Fancher (Comforts of Home) has been the interior designer for two of my homes, and two apartments. She helped both homes to have completely different styles, and yet both are completely beautiful, comfortable and reflect me and my style! Kim is always so easy to work with...professional, yet down-to-earth. You can always count on her to work within your timeline and budget. I have relied on Kim's advice and expertise for fifteen years now. In fact, when I lived briefly in Germany she was able to help me and a friend via Skype to furnish/redecorate our two apartments. All of our friends were truly impressed! My advice is...if you are lucky enough to have found Kim...HIRE HER! You won't be sorry.

I hired Kim as a Decorator for a Day and wow, what service. Kim whizzed thru my home, purchased some items (lamp, etc) placed art work, rearranged furniture and at the end of the day I felt like I had a whole new home. Incidentally , shortly thereafter I decided to sell my home (average days on market in my area is 153)......my home received two bids in five days and sold immediately . Much of that success was due to Kim's fabulous day of service. I will use her again.

We initially contracted with Kim Fancher/Comforts of Home to design a better layout for our 1975 era kitchen (with avocado laminate counter tops!) that would allow for more counter and work space and more cabinets. I simply wanted a more functional kitchen. What I didn't expect was for it to be beautiful as well. In addition, Kim designed the back splash which I absolutely love and was there to help me make selections of lighting, tile, faucets, counter tops, etc. She was there when I needed her without being too pushy. The project came in a little under budget! We also redid our master bath, half bath and guest bath with the same type of assistance from Kim. I was stunned by how beautiful they all turned out, too. We hired Comforts of Home to fulfill all interior design aspects in construction of the Kodiak Mountain Lodge, a multi-million dollar luxury 5-bedroom home which is walk-to-the-slopes of Breckenridge. Comforts of Home consulted on all interior finishes, including but not limited to interior masonry, ornamental metal, cabinetry, doors & millwork, finish hardware, wood flooring, stone flooring, ceramic tile, counter tops, painting, carpeting, window treatments, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, and much more. Comforts of Home also furnished the home including artwork, fabrics, and accessories. The cost of furnishing the home was amazingly inexpensive. With their help, we were able to immediately utilize the home for short term rentals during the ski season, and within 9 months of completion, the home was sold to a very discriminating buyer. I have worked with Kim as an interior decorator and an interior designer on three new homes. I love working with Kim. Her approach is sensible and creative. She treats my money like her money. She doesn't get offended if I don't like her ideas. She doesn't drag her own personal style around; she totally has the ability to "style flex".
