Kim came into our lives, and our modest beloved home, which had a bachelor 90s vibe going on from the previous owner, and made the key spaces we wanted to change (kitchen, powder room and sunroom) more chic, harmonious, live-able and most importantly more us. She understood what we like to do in our kitchen and translated our everyday into elegant practicality. That meant a walnut coffee nook with handmade tiles and an Italian light from the 60s for my husband, and for me a dream English-made oven that has elevated my baking, and creamy luscious marble countertops reminding me of my years living in Italy. There are many other cool elements Kim brought into the spaces to make them have a compelling point of view; including the vintage green wash basin which became the starting point for a powder room we now call the Green Room, with green tiles and green walls and ceiling. Pinterest couldn't dream this up. Our project is ongoing and we are stretching to the backyard and beyond, we have so enjoyed working with Kim and the hardworking contractors she has brought on. Though we haven't overhauled our whole home—nor do we intend to—Kim has made it so it all flows serenely and is not a mishmash of the old and the new. Her attention to the little details, everything from the light switches to the lighting, to the heater covers is thoughtful and done with the upmost of taste.

Kim is incredible! She absolutely transformed our outdated house and turned it into a beautiful and stylish home. Kim presented us with inspiration for our new kitchen and bath remodel and then got to work picking out the fixtures, paint colors, appliances and furniture until the vision came to life. She does a great job mixing old with the new so each room feels unique and has a lived in feel. For example, she turned three old french doors into a beautiful, one of a kind pantry in our kitchen. The design adds so much interest to the room. I can't recommend her enough for your next project.

Kim Ronemus Interiors is the best! Our goal was to make our home great and Kim exceeded our expectations. We have a 1950's home that was completely out of date and in need of a lot of work. Quite a daunting task for most however, Kim made it a fun process! She achieved our goals efficiently, was extremely helpful and reliable at all times. We now have an up to-date home with all new electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, paint, windows, etc.. Our home is now aesthetically pleasing from the inside and out, comfortable, organized and most importantly; functional for our family and guests. 5stars A++!

We have worked with Kim for the last year on several home renovation projects. She has been so great to work with. We updated our Kitchen with new soapstone appliances, countertops, cabinets, and tile. We love our new kitchen. We also updated our guest bedroom, which turned out beautifully. The major project was transforming a living room into my old-world eccentric office/library/game room with custom paneling, built-in bookcases, beautiful area rugs, and a vintage comfy chair and desk. Kim has helped us secure some beautiful pieces of furniture, including a tall boy for our bedroom, a beautiful credenza for our living room, and my treasured eighteenth-century hand-carved walnut Spanish fratino desk. Kim has been great to work with, taking the time to understand my vision and then working with us to execute it with style and elegance. I approached home renovations with a great deal of trepidation, but Kim secured some excellent contractors to support our projects. We continue to work with her on projects and are now looking to convert a small office into our custom music room.

I found Kim via Houzz. I was in search of someone who could help me select colors for the exterior of my home. I am usually comfortable making design choices but for some reason, exterior paint for a 1905 home in a beach town had me stymied. I thought I knew which colors I would use, but needed hues identified; then came Kim. We talked and walked around the house and she listened. I thought all I needed was a consultation so we parted ways. Shortly after our meeting I again found myself uncomfortable making such a grand decision. I hired Kim and she presented six different renditions of color combinations, not a one would have been identified without her. My husband and I narrowed it down to two color combinations and she created color boards to place on the house. Quickly we made a decision ... but then of course - I began to see so many other things that should be tackled during this paint process and Kim became our "go-to" person on all things design. She helped us find a reputable painter, and continues to work with them during the painting process. Stones for steps, lighting on porch, relocations of light fixtures, redesign of staircase entrance, cement stain, chimney wash ... seriously? Who Knew? I write this as I hear the painters scrapping and sanding and I couldn't be more excited to see the final product. I have been told that I am strong willed and stubborn when it comes to what I want; but I have listened to Kim and she has gently and kindly and convincingly changed my mind in many areas. She is a true professional with a great eye for design and doesn't mind me executing my project management skills, which I am sure can be annoying. Turns out she is a neighbor, whom I never met, but hope to see out and about.

She brings east coast glamour to the west coast and makes it feel cozy, comfortable and fun. The surprise elements she brings to my interior space, her sensitivity to my own preferences and and my middle-class budget, and her friendly personality make working with Kim an absolute pleasure. She respects my preference to build the room slowly, and the results are absolutely spectacular. Thank you, Kim, for being the ultimate interpreter for my dream interior, I never could have envisioned it myself, but I am grateful to you for knowing it was exactly what I need and love!

Kim is fantastic! I hired her to give me advice on the best solutions for our patio room and pool area. Also, best things to do to prep our house generally prior to placing it on the market. She SAVED us $38,000 by suggesting we whitewash our existing brick pavers in the patio room and around the pool, instead of replacing them. I was a little afraid to refurbish the brick at first, because it’s permanent. Given that I’m design-challenged and reluctant by nature to “go big or go home”, Kim had a fun and effective way of encouraging me to trust in her “vision” - I didn’t think I could afford to hire a designer with her experience for such a small job; boy, was I wrong. I couldn’t afford NOT to hire her! Thanks Kim, we LOVE our new look!

I moved from a home in Connecticut to a NYC apartment in Hell’s Kitchen. I couldn’t imagine how I was going to downsize from 3,000 square feet to 640. I did know that I wanted my apartment to be spectacular—and unique. Enter Kim. She came to my house with tape measure in hand. She chose some existing pieces I could bring to New York and a few pieces to put in storage for later use. A pleasure to work with, Kim presented a unique vision for my apartment yet was always considerate of my opinion. She recovered a sofa and a couple of chairs, brought in stunning one-of-a-kind vintage pieces including a metal dining table that can seat eight, a large Federal mirror with original glass and a showstopper, 7-foot industrial period lamp. Kim made use of every square inch of space, including storage ideas that became part of the décor. My apartment doesn’t feel crowded; it feels like home. A stunning, comfortable home.

Kim is an absolute delight to work with! On the various projects that we have completed together, I feel as though I'm working with a friend or a family member. Her attention to detail never ceases to amaze me either! She's on top of her game and I can't wait to work with her again!

WOW! There are not enough words to explain how meticulous, visionary, and special Kim and her team have been throughout the entire design and renovation process. Kim has an exceptional eye for the most unique pieces and helped transform my entire house into a literal oasis. She even commissioned wallpaper based on a gorgeous photo of the ocean for our master bedroom and it created such a calm and peaceful atmosphere. She worked on our baby, toddler, and kindergarten's rooms and made them so cozy, yet aesthetically pleasing, which I did not know was possible with young children. I could not recommend her services enough! Her vision not only helps transform your house, but makes you feel as though you never want to leave home (which a lot of us are doing right now)!

Kim is truly a master at her craft. She completely transformed 3 critical rooms in our house (the living room, dining room and master bedroom). The thing I was immediately stuck by, was her ability to visualize how a room should be laid out, taking into consideration function, aesthetics, and space. She also has an incredible knack for finding one of a kind pieces that stand out.....we didn't want our rooms to look like the were out of a catalog and she really delivered. She guided us through where it made sense to dedicate more of our budget and where it was ok to pull back. We couldn't be happier with the results of the rooms she designed for us! We've worked with Kim for a few years now across 3 different places and have loved every space that Kim has touched, because: - she works hard to find one-of-a-kind pieces (often vintage in our case), and at times has done extra work to have them customized to fit our space - she has a creative eye that has transformed our home into a place that has a welcoming and comfortable vibe, where we never get tired of spending time - she is a good listener, collaborative and responsive to feedback on her ideas - she is easy to trust and is a great ally when it comes to vendor relationships and coordinating logistics for delivery - even when you do not have an active project, she keeps you in her thoughts and is constantly looking for fun pieces for your home

Kim is wonderful to work with. She really pours her heart into her projects and you can feel that this is truly her passion. As a client, you feel very at ease that Kim is going to put in the work to make everything perfect. She does not cut corners and will help you understand what is worth investing in vs. what you can get away spending less on. Kim spends the time to understand her clients' vision but somehow always makes the end piece 100X better. Not only that but she is indeed a lady of great taste so for me it is always very easy to put my trust in her vision vs mine!
