We worked with Andy for our home reno project and he and his team were professional, courteous and an absolute pleasure to work with. Our project was quite extensive and from the very beginning, he was able to make helpful suggestions to make our home beautiful and capped within a reasonable budget. We are artistically challenged, so his ability to create renderings from multiple angles was especially helpful for us. We have heard nightmares about home renovations running behind schedule and over budget and we were extremely pleased that this didn't happen with Andy and his team. We would highly recommend his team to family and friends!

Ko's Interior Design & Construction were cost-effective, attentive, and timely. I engaged Andy early on to plan and assist with my older home in which I wanted some significant upgrades and cosmetic work. The Ko team helped me replace all the plumbing, completely gut and reconstruct two full baths and a kitchen, replace flooring in various spaces in the house, and install all new lighting. As someone who isn't great at visualizing spaces, Andy and his team of professionals not only completed the work on time, but also was critical in coming up with layout ideas, lighting, and materials suggestions for all fixtures and finishings. For one, they optimized a previous open space into a great walk-in closet! The level of detail provided in the quotes and design renderings was very impressive and gave me a lot of comfort and confidence. I was also really happy with the level of communication - as with any renovation, homeowners fear surprises and unexpected costs, and the team was great at meeting expectations and accommodating schedules.

Thank you to Andy and the crew for making our dreams come true. From signing the contract to finish, Andy was always professional and available for any questions we had. The estimate was clear and created line by line, denoting specifically how much each item cost. In addition, Andy provided a virtual design for what the finished project would look like. We have worked with many contractors in the past, who have been good, but nothing compared to Andy's responsiveness and support throughout the project. We love our new home - kudos to the amazing job, would use again and highly recommend.

I have only great things to say about Ko's interior design. The service by Andy and his team was well priced, beautifully done, efficient, timely and most importantly...very clean! I had my basement done with approx 700 sqft of living space. Andy has designed the layout so that we can be as efficient as possible with our modestly sized basement. His team was able to move electrical/hvac/plumbing components around to maximize the amount of space for us to use. During the process, they were transparent with any issues that had come up and openly discussed solutions and potential costs of alternatives. For example, our foundation had portions of uneven concrete which they were able to preemptively identify and correct prior to installing the flooring. The entire project lasted 4.5 weeks long with the team working from 9:30AM to around 7PM from Monday to Saturday. We cannot be more impressed by their work ethic. The team also made sure to vacuum every day at the end of their work so that when it comes time for me to go swoop in for a peek, I wasn't walking into a mound of dust. We love the result and workmanship, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a renovation done!

We renovated our new condo with Ko's Interior Design. Andy was great, technically knowledgable, professional, and EXTREMELY responsive. Everything was on time even during Covid19. The team was great as well, also professional and accommodating to our requests and needs. Andy also was very helpful with recommendations, designs, and advice. We trusted his judgment and are very happy with the results.

We renovated our kitchen and 2 bathrooms with Ko's Interior Design. From the beginning, Andy gave us a detailed quote with breakdown of the cost so there wouldn't be any surprises. He also provided floor plans as well as 3D drawings for us and gave us ideas on how to better utilize the space. The contractors, Simon and his team were also great to work with and made sure everything is exactly what we've asked for. In the end, our kitchen and bathrooms turned out beautifully! The whole renovation went very smoothly and this was all done during the pandemic where there are so many uncertainties. It was a pleasure working with Andy and his team and we would highly recommend them!

We had our basement finished by Ko's and were thoroughly impressed with the process from start to finish, along with the finished product (bedroom, rec/AV room, bathroom, laundry room). This was our first time undertaking a renovation and we appreciated the time that our project manager, Andy Ko, took to walk us through the entire process. He was very accessible throughout the month of work (via text, email or in person, as desired), and checked in on the progress at regular intervals and kept us apprised of any changes required or issues encountered. The quote provided for the work was extremely detailed, and there were no surprises or cost increases at any time during the work. Andy also provided great suggestions with respect to best layout for our space. The workers in our home were very respectful and kept everything tidy (including our garage when they needed to use the space at times). We would definitely use Ko's again for future work, and recommend them without hesitation.

I had my entire basement + laundry area remodelled by Andy and his team. Before the services I could never have imagined how to improve the space but Andy’s expertise in interior design provided me with a few design options to best modernize and improve my home and increase its value. A lot of work was done in a short period of time like moving an existing water heater and all the laundry area into separate rooms. Simple things like stacking the washer and dryer have allowed me to gain more space in my home and they even created a closet in spaces that I thought were unusable. The space renovated is now absolutely gorgeous, higher ceilings and brighter lights make the space look much more modern and completely stands out from the rest of our home. I recommend Andy and his team to anyone needing renovations - we will be doing the rest of our home with their services!

We hired Ko's Interior to finish our basement with a tight deadline. They were very professional, easy to work with, and easy to get in touch with. They helped us put in a bedroom, a den, a full bathroom and an entertainment space with a professional speaker set up. We appreciated their design suggestions and really liked that they had full lists of items that they would be working on as well as a full 3D rendered drawing of the space which helped us visualize the changes. They were patient with us as we went through a few different iterations of the design and work began right away and finished ahead of schedule. We would definitely recommend them, and look to them for any future work on our house.

Andy did an excellent job with our renovation process from start to finish. He was attentive to our vision and really made it come true. During the design process, we only knew we wanted to upgrade the bathroom and the kitchen, and beyond that, we really did not know how to go about the upgrades. Andy provided well thought out, creative and practical suggestions that also looked great. We felt in control of the whole process but at the same time well-guided. Moreover, during the construction process, we expected there would be unknowns that pop up, as with any project, but Andy was able to come up with excellent solutions very quickly so that the construction schedule and progress was not impacted. All in all, I could not have asked for a better person and contractor to guide us through an inherently difficult and stressful process. Thank you so much!

We were referred to Andy Ko and were not disappointed. It took a year of discussions, questions, quotations, and amendments to our design until we settled with Andy. Never did we feel rushed or pressured to start, and the service stayed consistent throughout the entire process. Andy was extremely detailed in educating us on the renovation process, what factors to consider such as placement or functionality, and most importantly unexpected variables that we may run into which allowed us to plan ahead and budget for certain things that can only be uncovered once the demolition started (ie gaps or distances behind walls). Andy was very balanced in providing recommendations where necessary and guidance in other areas that allowed for flexibility. He is extremely knowledgable in various aspects of the process and worked with us in designing the space until we were completely satisfied. He optimized the space we had, and designed the kitchen/bathroom to be both practical yet aesthetically appealing all the while customizing the design on the go with us as we made several changes throughout even after they had started. To add further comfort, Andy oversaw the work from beginning to end, and checked in to provide updates with us as they made progress (we were away on vacation and left the project with him). Couldn't ask for a more reliable project manager to work with, highly recommended.

I hate to write a bad review, however I have contacted Andy Ko to resolve a problem and have not received any resolution. When I called and spoke directly with him about the issue, he told me to send pictures. I had already emailed him about the issue but agreed to send yet another email with pictures. Still no response. We hired this company in June 2018 to replace our banisters and install crown moulding throughout the house. 4 months later we noticed ugly gaps between the crown moulding and the ceiling. In addition one of the pieces actually cracked. There is no possible way I could recommend this company if they cannot properly install crown moulding and refuse to deal with complaints.

Hi Simone,

We apologize that you have experienced this issue. However, it was not due to bad installation that cause these gaps.

When we addressed this issue over the weekend, we were able to determine that it was due to a big difference in temperature from the lack of insulation above in the attic that cause said gaps and cracks through lifts and shrinkage of lumber.

Given the situation, we should not be held liable to repair for free as it was not caused by bad installation. Normally, we ask for a fee of $500 to repair all the damaged moldings, in this case we did it free of charge. Not to mention, we advised what needs to be done for future prevention.

We only ask for you to revise your review to your experience with us as we believe we hold a high level of standard in management, installation, and craftsmenship to gurantee a stress free experience.

We used Ko's for our renovation and we couldn't be more thrilled with new home. We had all of the floors redone as well as the kitchen and powder room. The house was an entire transformation from what it was before. Andy took the time to get to know our style and made 3D mock ups of the design which was one of the things that differentiated them. Andy gave us suggestions and options on finishings which really brought the house to life. Most importantly, him and his team were pleasant and accommodating and we finished on time and under budget. One of the reasons we hired Andy was that his quotation was very detailed, every job and every piece of material had a dollar value attached, for example, removing existing crown moulding, removing existing vent pipe. The project was completed on time and within budget. We did have one issue but it was resolved to our liking.

We just moved. Through a referral we had Ko's Interior Design redesign and build our new kitchen, add new wood floors, paint our house, build closets and change fixtures. They were very professional and reliable. They made themselves available at anytime both in person and by phone. Ko's alleviated the stressful decision making process when it came to deciding on what we wanted by providing previous experience with up to date trends. Referred to Ko's Interior Design & Construction to finish basement. Impressed with the professional floorplan, 3D views of the plan. Was accommodating for tweaks we wanted and provided recommendations based on experience. All projects have some bumps and this one was no different, but Andy (the PM) made sure that issues were fixed / corrected etc. My one issue was communication and check-ins. Communication by trades for most things should be funneled through Andy and then to us; and more regular check-ins to ensure work was being completed to spec and or address issues proactively. I addressed this with Andy, and he took my feedback well and he seems committed to address these issues going forward. Overall, the project was completed in good time, very close to the original budget and the basement looks great. Would I use Ko's again, yes I would.

We are really happy with the basement renovation. Prior to the renovation, the basement was just used for storage. Now we have a washroom, play area, exercise area, entertainment area, and pantry. We chose Ko’s because the basement is really large and they were able to provide designs to make best use of the space and provide excellent drawings to help us visualize. They came in on time and on budget and kept everything clean. We’ve recommended them to other friends as well and our friends have been happy with their work!
