Kristen helped me furnish a house I bought that I turned into an airbnb. We started with an empty house and she turned it into a show house. We had a very short time line and she literally pulled the project together and I was thrilled with the results and so were all of my guests. She came into the house once to measure. I had a tenant who moved out on Wednesday and Friday we were ready for our 1st Airbnb guest. Couldn’t be more happy with Kristen.

What should you expect from a design consultant? That question raises many responses. Here’s what I’ve learned on my journey..... Someone who gets “inside your head” and delivers more than you could have been imagined as you awkwardly articulated what you were looking for is what you should expect. That’s precisely what Kristen did for me. COVID shutdown allowed me the time to search the internet for a designer who could create a design that a) incorporated two distinct styles (modern vs traditional) b) was elegant but livable, and c) repurposed existing pieces to leverage that “curated over time” look instead of a shipped in x days “insert any furniture store” look. The COVID shutdown in early 2020 allowed me the opportunity to spend endless hours looking at portfolios of designers in the coastal CT region. Something kept bringing me back to this particular designer’s portfolio (Kristen Wall). Why? When I looked at her portfolio compared to others (ones who were very popular in this area) I was drawn to the diversity. It was clear that she respected the client’s perspective. Other portfolios were very similar (boring) ....the same design concepts used over and over. Kristen’s portfolio clearly demonstrated that the client’s perspective drives the outcome, not the designer’s style or preference. Did I choose wisely? A resounding YES! My advice to anyone looking for that partner who will respect your vision and someone who can “get in your head” to see what you are visualizing but cannot articulate as clearly as you want, Kristen is your gal! On the other side, if you really do not know what you want or cannot make up your mind, but know what you like, she’s also your gal. From the first view of fabric and furniture choices, I was impressed with her ability to give me options that met and exceeded my expectations. We have since moved on from the first major project to the “next one”. I anticipate that Kristen will be that partner who helps me transform every room in this “oasis by the sea”. Whatever style or design you have in mind, do yourself a favor, include her in your search. I can confidently say that you will not be disappointed.

Kristen helped us with a redesign of our living room space for our family and we couldn’t be happier with the result. This included a full furniture replacement, new flooring, artwork, a custom built mantel and accent pieces. She spent a lot of time up front understanding our needs, style and vision while providing her professional knowledge to optimize the space. This in turn made the process smooth and easy as we were on the same page from the beginning and navigated the design decisions easily. Kristen has a perfect balance of design and function, understanding that we have a young family and this was our main living space. She made practical suggestions both functionally and from a budget perspective. We felt we invested more in the important elements and were flexible in other areas. The end result is beautiful! We get so many compliments and every day feel this space perfectly reflects our style and family!

Kristen was extremely patient and a great source of useful feedback during our consultation for some windows in my home. She definitely helped me make up my mind about a few details that I was initially unsure about. I appreciated her expertise and her flexibility.

Kristen was a pleasure to work with! She was knowledgable and professional, while at the same time fun and funny. We laughed and talked and measured and chose beautiful window treatments. When it came time for installation she spent the entire day overseeing the process (although it was unnecessary as the installer was fantastic).
