Kristina Crestin Design

Kristina was wonderful to work with and is so incredibly talented!!! She was able to take my grandparents old, outdated, well loved house and transform it into a beautiful, well functioning home for me and my family. She heard everything my husband and I wanted and needed, (at times those were very different things) and she was able to find the perfect balance of new (what my husband wanted) without completely losing the old charm I loved so much. I am blown away by the thoughtfulness of her design and will be forever grateful for the amazing home she created for us. When I walk in the house, I still cannot believe it is mine. She exceeded all of our expectations and we couldn't be more happy with the outcome!

Kristina, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you. The counter stools came in (the final pop of color!) and as I was adjusting them, I had this feeling of oh my god I love this kitchen. Now that we've lived in it a bit and it feels more like home, I couldn't be more pleased with it. You are so good at your job -- you took the look and feel of what I was going for and completely nailed it, making it even better than I could have imagined. I am in love with this room and since we are in here as a family the most, it means even more. Thank you so much!

We had never done any renovations or major redecorating before embarking on a new kitchen/bathroom/dining room addition and a complete make-over to our living room. Both of us can pretty quickly identify furnishings, colors, fixtures, etc. that we like, but have a hard time putting together a cohesive design ourselves and so we sought help. We’re very glad we went with Kristina because we could not be happier with the final project. She struck the perfect balance between offering us options to consider and more firm recommendations on a direction she thought we should take. We took most of her suggestions and are very happy we did. Overall, Kristina was energetic and enthusiastic and helped make the renovation process (which can be frustrating) fun.

We have worked with Kristina on numerous projects. Her creativity and energy always bring the most to projects. She never repeats herself and delivers a look and feel to customers that surpasses expectations. Usually this much creativity translates into scatter brained and difficult to work with.....quite the opposite. Kristina has an incredible attention to detail and is totally professional. If you are doing something that you expect to turn out special, Kristina should be your first call.

Kristina made my house into a stylish home. She listened to what I wanted and took it to a level (think Elle decor or House beautiful) I could never have imagined. All while keeping everything feeling like it represents my personality. She thinks of small details that are so clever, knowing how it will pull the whole thing together. We started in my downstairs, open floor plan and now have worked our way to the entry way, staircase and upstairs bathroom. She has a sixth sense of what every space needs and more importantly knows exactly where to source it. I feel so lucky to have found her. I finally feel like I'm at home in my house.

Kristina has been a delight to collaborate with on projects! She is an incredibly knowledgeable and organized professional who really understands the big picture. Her creative vision always adds great depth to our projects, and she is an invaluable resource to us as architects and to our clients. She listens closely to our clients, shares her knowledge with her collaborators, and is a true team player. Our many collaborations with Kristina have been easy and we hope to work with her again in the near future.

I hired Kristina and her team to help me with a major addition/remodel project that included the kitchen, family room, dining room, laundry room, a new powder room, a new mudroom, and a new deck and screen porch. I learned very quickly to trust her design sense and ideas--I'd never worked with a designer before and I was a bit cautious about some things. Every idea she's had has been executed beautifully, and I am very happy with the results. She has an amazing sense of color, and is very capable of communicating her vision to builders and other tradespeople, checking and making sure that they have the info they need and that they are working to her specifications. Every element Kristina touched in our plans became more useful and still looked incredible. It gave my project purpose and cohesion and my only regret is I didn't hire her earlier in the process! Just one example of the numerous times Kristina helped me--I had fallen in love with these slabs of red dragon granite, which proved to be very challenging to match. Kristina and I spent a lot of time together, going over flooring, cabinet colors and more to make sure the red granite not only coordinated with everything, but was the star of the kitchen. Her choices and suggestions made me love it even more after it was installed! There are too many of these stories to fit into one review. Personally, she is bright and cheerful, and easy to talk to and work with. She was always careful to listen to my needs and wants first, and then brought her design sense to bear with those in mind. I look forward to our next project together.

I have been working with Kristina Crestin for almost 2 years now and don't know how I would have been able to complete my whole house renovation without her expertise. She came into a job that was already underway and fit in immediately with everyone on the project. She brings a great energy and knows how to speak to the builders, plumbers, electricians, etc....she really knows their lingo. Thank goodness! There were several times where she caught things that I didn't see and was able to step in and easily handle the situation. Now that the majority of the project is done, we are currently working on the finishing touches of the interior. Kristina is extremely good at what she does and you can see right away that she has a passion for her job. She is talented and creative, with a great eye for design. I have to say I can be a bit conservatie with some of my design ideas and choices, but where Kristina has encouraged me to be a bit bolder and take chances, I have actually been even happier with the results. Plus, she keeps me on track and motivated which is really saying something as the whole decorating thing doesn't come easily to me.

I was very happy with Kristina Crestin Design, not only did she provide great ideas and suggestions for the design of my kitchen but she also had a knowledge of all aspects of the project. She was great to work with, so organized and on time with everything she promised. So rare to find such an organized and creative person.

Kristina was an invaluable resource to us on our prjoect. Deadlines met, ideas brought, and inspiration provided. All with a smile. Truly a pleasure to work with.

I have worked with Kristina Crestin Design on a major home renovation and on the construction of a new summer home. Kristina provided detailed outstanding creative vision in transforming our house into a home that is vibrant and contemporary. She really listened to all the family and was invaluable in helping us articulate what we really wanted. With our new summer lake house, she was an integral member of the team and worked amazingly well with our architect and our builder. The whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish. Kristina guided us through the hundreds of design decisions and it was a delight to work with her. Her creative talent elevated the final result from a house what would have been simply lovely, to something that we think is truly breathtaking.
