My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Our aesthetic is a juxtaposition of contemporary trends with classic elements. Focusing on designing spaces that create balance and function while being bright, whimsical, and modern. Kt Interior Design believes each design should be tailored to your needs through our trained eye and aesthetic, creating truly elevated spaces. Kt Interior Design is a full-service interior design firm based in Portland, OR and owned by Katie Pennington.. After graduating from the University of Oregon, Katie followed her passion for design and moved to San Francisco to attend the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. Moving back to Oregon, she worked for a few Portland based firms prior to starting Kt Interior Design in 2018. Kt Interior Design works from concept to completion. Our expertise ranges from simple room refreshes to full-scale renovations and new construction. We work closely with contractors, sub-contractors, local vendors, and artisans to provide the best project management team to our clients.

Katie is an excellent designer and so easy to work with. She listened to what I wanted to do, and then put it into action! She went above and beyond in working with the painters and flooring people, as well as the furniture and lighting folks. She even worked seamlessly with my own handyman. I highly recommend Katie.

Katie initially was hired to help us decorate our personal home until we pivoted and asked her to help us decorate our Airbnb instead-- she was super flexible and seamlessly went with the flow. We would have never been able to execute the design of our Airbnb without her. She took our "vision" (which to be fair was ALL over the place) and turned it into reality, all while staying within our budget. She provided multiple options when selecting items and was very open to feedback. Many of our guests have commented on the decor/design of our Airbnb, all thanks to Katie. We would highly recommend her!

Katie Pennington @KTInteriordesign was an absolute joy to work with on the re model of our main bathroom. My husband had come up with a rough plan, but we really appreciated Katie working with us to work out many of the logistics. The bathroom was a huge undertaking and a complete gut job. We were a little worried and overwhelmed, but Katie helped us to feel confident and excited. She really worked with us through all the stages to help see our vision become reality. She immediately understood our style and knew how to help steer us through everything from floor plans, paint color, tile, lights etc. We couldn’t have done it without her! I would recommend her to anyone.

Tailored by KD designed my salon studio and I couldn’t be more in love! My studio had black walls to begin with. We changed it to being white with prettiest soft blush accent. Daniel was so creative and designed the prettiest shelves for my product display. My studio was pretty small so Daniel had to get creative on selecting furniture I needed in a way that was esthetically pleasing, but also was functional and stored all of my supplies. Daniel pays attention to every small detail. My studio felt so small and Daniel knew exactly how to make it feel bright and open and match the esthetic to my style. I will hire Tailored by KD for any interior design needs. They are amazing at what they do and so fun to work with!

I moved into a new home this past year and had Tailored by KD completely design my interior. They also designed my outdoor patio area. They provided multiple options in an easy to select manner. In the end I had a furnished home that fit exactly what I wanted and cost far less than if I had attempted to go it alone. I love coming home each day and absolutely love the design. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.
