Laurie Pearson is the Principal and Creative Director of L. Pearson Design, a Houston-based design studio known for it's effortlessly elegant residential interior solutions. She and her experienced team create eclectic, personalized interiors with a sense of livable luxury.
Laurie Pearson is the Principal and Creative Director of L. Pearson Design, a Houston-based firm specializing in luxury residential interiors. Drawing inspiration from her Southern roots, Laurie’s work is known for its simple elegance, unfussy details and classic shapes. Her designs seek to create a world of livable luxury, constructing individualized interiors that are grand in scale but always inviting. With curated art pieces and a steady mix of antique and modern, Laurie’s unique spaces are constantly evolving.
Laurie grew up on Mississippi’s charming Gulf Coast. Her passion for the old and the new began in the eclectic city of New Orleans, where she owned a beloved antique shop off St. Charles Avenue. After Hurricane Katrina she relocated to Houston and established her eponymous design studio. Her residential projects span the Texas coast and extend to New Orleans and Telluride. She is currently working on her first collection of custom furniture pieces.
Laurie has been featured in Luxe Interiors + Design and been named twice to their prestigious Gold List. Laurie lives out her luxury in Houston with her husband, three children and ever-growing collection of antiques.

Laurie and DeDe are FABULOUS and I would definitely use them again!
L. Pearson Design assisted my husband and I on our remodel after Hurricane Harvey destroyed the downstairs of our home. We chose to take the opportunity to take walls down, cabinets out and reconstruct our kitchen and living area. Laurie and DeDe helped us choose the style and colors with which we were comfortable, and they created a beautiful vision of our future home.
During a season that was very difficult for our entire city, supplies and services were hard to attain. Laurie and DeDe were always punctual with communications, always professional and helped me keep the job moving (with contractors) so we could move back into our home on a particular date, without delays.
We cannot express how frustrated we were with our builder/contractor during the process of remodeling, yet we had the completely opposite experience with Laurie and DeDe.
They were absolutely delightful to work with and we would HIGHLY recommend working with L.Pearson Design!

Laurie is amazing. She is so efficient and creative. She is very easy to work with and you feel like you made a new friend. She is great about giving you options, listening to your budget, and working with items that you already own. I was stunned by how quickly she was able to come in and complete a project. Even my husband was super pleased and said it was well worth what we spent. That was a huge compliment coming from him!! Laurie is very responsive and she really listens to your needs/wants. The silly thing is you are a little sad that the project is over with because you had a great time and loved everything she did. We purchased a new home in the spring of 2019. We did not move any furniture from our previous home. Laurie was recommended to me by several friends. I knew after the first five minutes of our first meeting that was the one. For one, she hugged me. I love that! Second her home looks like a Southern Living model home. Third she was very respectful of my budget and my opinions (very few opinions; creativity is not my thing). Fourth she and her team were very communicative about order status of furniture rugs etc. Fifth her attention to decorating detail and accessorizing is outstanding. Gosh I could go on. She listened and understood our needs, and confidently directed us through breaking down walls; reconfiguring a staircase; and floor, paint, light fixture, furniture and drapery selections, to an end result that is light, bright, airy, modern, and so peaceful.

Laurie is a fantastic interior designer. We asked her to help design and furnish an office, entry way, powder room, dinning room, living room, family room, breakfast area, second floor living room, master bedroom and master bathroom. We met several times to go over her vision for the space. She help put together everything from carpets, drapes, lighting, furniture and decorative items to put a special touch to each of the rooms. She installed everything over three days and we had a big reveal. We were amazed by our new space. She was very easy to work with and very responsive to any concerns during this process. My husband and I set out on an extensive beach house renovation last summer. We gutted both the inside and outside of the home, and needed someone who could help us with both building decisions and the look and feel of the home.
We could not be happier that we asked Laurie to help us with all of it. She is fun to work with, and her taste and style are amazing! She is easy to communicate with and very responsive. I really appreciated the way she worked with our builder - and even his trades - ensuring the final product was exactly as we had discussed.

For anyone who has done this before understands what a lengthy process this can be, specifically when ordering custom pieces throughout. Laurie has been so patient with me and the whole process. She's wonderful to collaborate with and with bringing ideas to fruition. She’s a perfectionist and dedicated with her projects, so you won’t get pawned off to assistants once you make selections, like you would with other designers. Everything has been seen through, from inception to completion per room. Laurie was an answer to my home decorating prayers. I had always struggled with creating a cohesive look; often buying décor pieces here and there and not feeling as though the space worked together. I hired Laurie to do a complete makeover of several rooms in my house. What she created was pure art. Her end result was so beautiful that it was featured in Luxe magazine and used as the backdrop for a national infomercial.
