As a single mom of three kids with a demanding career, the thought of furnishing my home seemed like such a daunting task. Although I have a pretty good eye for design, I wanted an interior designer who could use their expertise to put together cohesive spaces in my home that would reflect my aesthetic with an eye for detail and scale. I researched for what seemed like a year, pouring over websites and Instagram pages of various designers in Texas, but no one really fit what I was looking for until I happened to stumble upon Lacey Michalek’s Instagram page. I loved how the spaces Lacey created were more on the modern side, but still cozy enough that it was livable and would stand the test of time. We met for a consultation, signed a contract and Lacey got to work. At my design presentation, I loved the ideas she presented – she also brought fabrics, photos and wood finish selections as well as 3D renderings of how the spaces would look. I do have to admit, there were some things I was not quite sure about, but trusted her judgment and went with it. Lacey was always available by phone or email to answer any questions that I had. And with all the logistical delays of COVID, she and her assistant Ashley kept me updated on any delays they were encountering. And finally came installation day. I was nervous, but excited after 10 months of waiting. Hiring an interior designer is certainly a huge investment. What if I didn’t like how it looked? All these questions raced through my mind. And then I walked in the door and WOW! I was mind blown. I could not believe how everything looked so much more beautiful in person! The doubts I had in my mind immediately dissipated. Lacey nailed it, and it was worth every penny spent. I finally have a beautiful home I can walk into after a stressful day at work, to sit down and relax and enjoy a cup of tea, or call friends over for dinner and drinks. Anyone who comes to my home has endless compliments about how beautiful everything looks. I wholeheartedly recommend Lacey for any interior design project, and look forward to using her for more spaces in my home soon!

I hired Lacey to stage my home for sale. She had great ideas that really made my house stand out from others on the market. She was able to work with my existing furniture and décor, as well as incorporate her own unique style, yet appropriately depersonalize my space in order to appeal more to buyers. I was very happy with the results and my house went under contract after just one open house. I plan to utilize her great eye for style and space in my new home soon.

I have worked with Lacey Michalek Interiors on several design projects. Lacey decorated my office, which was in a warehouse, in a style that added warmth and color to the concrete floors and gray walls. LMI updated our dining room furniture for my home and is in the process of decorating our master bedroom with wall paint, rugs, drapes and accessories. She also decorated our book shelves in our living room I love Lacey's style and the fact that she respects our budget and still finds beautiful items that compliment our tastes. Not only is she a talent designer, she is a pleasure to work with.
