Laura Bohn helped us redesign our apartment: we took down walls, expanding views and living space: new floors, new closets, new kitchen, new furnishings. Laura worked with us every step of the way, always with flexibility, creative solutions and fabulous taste. Now that the project is complete my husband and I have a new love -- our apartment!! Laura is an extraordinary design leader who has been an inspiration to legions of young designers. We are now working on our third design project with her and we could not imagine working on a new home without her. Her style is one of a kind. Modern, yet soft. Sophisticated, yet playful. Laura Bohn is the best, I am an interior designer, as well, and have known Laura for many years, she is a total professional, and no one understands color like she does!

I have used Laura Bohn for two major projects, and several updates/upgrades. Laura is extremely creative, has wonderful taste, and a distinctive style. She is a terrific colorist, and very eclectic in her selection of furnishings. A Laura Bohn room is immediately recognizable, always serene and elegant, and occasionally funky or offbeat. While she has a definite style, she is always respectful of and repsonsive to her client's needs/interests. Working with Laura is a joy, shopping with her a pleasure in itself. I am delighted to offer my review of Laura Bohn Design Associates. The current project on which we're working with LBDA is the redesign and renovation of a 1940s-era house in Westport, CT. We previously renovated and decorated a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment in NYC with this firm, and the experience was so pleasurable and rewarding from start to finish that we wouldn't consider working with anyone else on our current project. Not only is Ms. Bohn's design aesthetic impeccable, but she also has a great head for business (an uncommon combination in most designers!). I saw the house as the creation of a team that managed a multiple set of behaviors, many of which seemed to me as amazing, say, as a magic act by David Blaine. He makes airplanes disappear before your eyes; you two make homes appear out of virtually nothing. Yes, it doesn't have the drama of happening in a moment, but with a little squinting it seems just as magical to me. To do that you combine, in various parts, a set of behaviors which I have never seen in anyone I know. For starters: You combine the behavior of a dreamer (thinking the thing up) with that of a builder (putting it all together inch by inch, drawing by drawing, piece by piece) with that of an artist (looking at ordinary things-a tractor rim, discarded and decaying seats from a high school stadium-and turning them into something beautiful) with that of an artisan (not only beautiful but practical) with that of an employer (managing the time and talent of others to your and their benefit). Not to mention that the house, its furnishings, its fit and finish, its flow and spacing and setting, its textures and materials and contrasts and lightness, its connection to nature, are just plain STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL.
