Laura Lee Home

There is literally no one I would rather have than Laura to help me with design / decoration of a new place. Her tastes are classy, elegant and practical (i.e. a place that is meant to be lived in.) She's helped me with the last three places I've lived (including last move which involved a downsize), and I think that she's the best there is. I would highly recommend her.

Laura has been wonderful to work with! We have been through an extensive remodel in our last home which lasted a long time and was very painful on many levels. We decided that this time around we are going to do things differently having learned from our past mistakes. We did an extensive research as working with the “right” people for our project was of utmost importance and I’m so very glad we found Laura! Laura began the process with trying to learn not only our style and aesthetic preferences but also how we want to live and use the space. Her sense of color is really unmatched and one of the things that has drawn me to her. She has extensive knowledge of products that you will not find by browsing online. She is also an expert on fabrics. She is extremely detail oriented and very organized so the process was extremely smooth. She has a pleasant demeanor about her but also she is all business and doesn’t like to waste time. Finally, Laura has advocated for us on projects that required sub contractors. She has introduced us to different trades people with whom we had positive experience but if something did come up she was always on “our side”. We really didn’t have any major bumps along the way. Lastly, Laura has really created a space we love and enjoy occupying. It feels relaxing and luxurious and I find myself thinking “I love this” corner or that corner many times a day.

Laura is a life saver! I renovated my house for the first time ever and her guidance and expertise is exactly what i needed. I was all over the place and couldn't get a grip on what I wanted. Laura listened, provided options and made this renovation a truly magical experience. More importantly, I trusted her judgement. Laura is very professional, respectful and simply a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Laura Lee to take on any project. You will be very happy with the results!

Working with Laura was a wonderful experience! I'm not sure where to start so I'll just sum it up. Professional, patient, extremely helpful and super enjoyable. From our first meeting, Laura made us feel comfortable, even though we didn't quite know what we wanted and how to articulate it. After a few meetings, we were all on the same page. She really listens, lets you investigate your own needs and wants and overall, only wants what is best for you and your living space. Designing a space in which you are going to live in is a very personal thing. Laura and Darlia were always professional, respectful and kind about offering ideas and support throughout the experience. They answered all of our questions (and phone calls!) and even remained cheerful despite us changing our minds about a few things. I also appreciated how Laura made me think "outside of the box" and reassured me about a few exciting and different ideas. We had a fairly big job. After moving back to our home state, we had an empty house and furniture that no longer worked with our needs. We also required a cohesive plans for all of the rooms, yet something that distinguished the spaces and their function. Not only were they not intimidated by this, they made it so much fun and we enjoyed each visit. We have worked with other designers and never felt as comfortable as we did with them. We also liked how she incorporated some of our personal items - photos from our travels, a table that we selected and refinished. Our space is truly a masterpiece and we would highly recommend her to anyone that needs this type of service. We receive compliments each time we have visitors. What good fortune it was to have found Laura Lee to help us with our downsizing project! We were moving from the home we'd raised our children in to one about half the size, more suited to our empty nest status. There were many decisions to make as to which items we owned should make the cut and move with us, and which fresh new elements were needed to enjoy the smaller house. She asked all the right questions and quickly gained an understanding of what was important to us in this transition, as well as our likes and dislikes in furnishings and finishes. Laura's attention to detail and marvelous taste, her professionalism and delightful cheery personality, made her truly a pleasure to work with.

Where do I begin... we can't say enough good things about the job Laura did for us. It all starts with the design, where she totally transformed a handful of rooms and spaces for us that we are ecstatic about. We were so happy with her work that we tacked on another room to renovate because it looked so 'blah' next to the recently transformed rooms she designed. In addition to Laura's incredibly good sense of design, she is always conscious of the budget and (most importantly in my opinion) is very detail oriented. Laura did an amazing job for us and I couldn't imagine doing another home design project without her by our side.

I loved working with Laura. I used her “Custom Design for the Savvy Shopper” service to refresh and update my living and dining rooms. Laura designed beautiful spaces and worked within my budget designing complete rooms from paint colors, carpeting, furniture, lighting, and accessories. She found amazing pieces and I loved having finished spaces at the end of the process that were both pretty and functional. Best of all Laura was amazing to work with, responsive, thorough, and made the whole process enjoyable. I look forward to working with Laura again.

Laura was amazing to work with! Her inspirational designs, follow through, and attention to detail kept our remodel easy and on schedule. Loved working with Laura. I had not used a designer previously, and she made it so easy to collaborate and pick all the right items to match a couple of existing pieces I wanted to keep. We used a lot of color---and everything was pulled together so beautifully. I entertain often, and everyone (even men!) absolutely love the design and how the space flows so well. Laura has amazing vision!! Our living room, with its large size and off-centered fireplace, was a tough space to decorate and we were having a really hard time finishing it. Laura suggested two distinct conversation areas and a few other pieces to tie them together. She helped us mix some treasured antiques with new, more modern upholstered pieces to great effect. The room looks grounded yet fresh. It's pretty and also very functional. We rarely used the room before and now love being in there. I wish I could give six stars because I cannot be sufficiently effusive about Laura's work! She transformed my dated gold/green living room, which we never used, into a bright, open, welcoming space that I can hardly stay out of! It's hard to believe it is the same room. I always worried that a designed room would reflect the designer, not me, but somehow the result feels like me, even though it's really Laura's design. Not sure how she does that! Laura is efficient, organized, and a delight. I also learned a lot in the process which is fun for me. Dining room is next! Thanks, Laura!

Laura had some beautiful ideas for our unique living space. She was great to work with. She was dependable and extremely organized I really appreciated her prompt follow up for everything.

I hired Laura to help me pull together a house I was trying to bring into the current era from about 50 years ago. Feeling overwhelmed and not knowing where to start, Laura helped me understand and visual my ideas by exposing me to new and exciting colors and concepts that I could never have envisioned. We hired Laura Lee Home to decorate our renovation and addition and couldn't have been happier with the results. Throughout the 14 month project, Laura became part of our family. Not only did she help with the decor, she also helped with design of rooms and with some of the floor plans. She worked in tandem with our builder and became an advocate on our behalf. WOW! That's the best word to describe my new rooms designed by Laura. We'd been getting by with the same mishmash of furniture from the past 15 years, throwing in a new piece here and there. The furniture was dark and dated and didn't really fit our personalities or sense of style. Laura literally transformed our living room and an adjacent sitting room! The rooms are sophisticated yet playful with pops of color and personality that reflect our family's style and character. It's almost as if we added a room to the house because no one ever wanted to use the sitting room; now it's a favorite spot for morning coffee or cozy movie watching on the weekends. A few of the reasons I love working with Laura: A thoughtful approach to design that truly personifies the client, setting a budget and always being sensitive to stay within that budget, being mindful of trendy designs verses styles that will have some longevity, and creating a realistic timeline and seeing a project through to the finish. I would definitely work with Laura again.

Laura is absolutely the most professional designer I have every worked with. I couldn't be happier. She transformed my master bedroom into a wonderland and changed my ugly basement to an amazing teenage hangout. Laura Lee was fantastic to work with. We have used her on several projects including a complete re-model on an A -frame out at Innsbrook ,Mo. Last October we had five pipes burst under neath the floor in our daughters bathroom. Our house was built in 1930 so It was a total gut job. Laura was great to work with and her design taste is amazing. We were so pleased when she was done we had her help us do a face lift on another bathroom. My husband and I both work full time and needed someone we could trust to make swift decisions and stay on top of everything so the work got done in a timely manner. Her professionalism and knowledge impressed us both. She was able to keep us calm and walk us thru every step. We have just hired her to help us with a huge project involving a master bathroom and refiguring the space for a Master Suite. I cannot imagine doing these projects without her.

Laura Lee did an amazing job helping us with our home. She assisted me in picking paint colors, making flooring choices, hiring contractors and even helped to oversee the job while we were in transition to moving to our home. Once we were settled in our home, Laura helped us furnish and decorate our family room, get drapes made for several rooms and arrange all the furniture that we brought with us from our previous home. Laura does a great job listening to the customers needs and giving plenty of options to meet those needs. Laura always stayed within our budget and helped keep me aware of the costs invloved with my choices. She is always on time and ready to work. Laura has an extensive list of contractors for any job smal or big. Laura has a great eye for decorating and always has good ideas.

This is the second time I have worked with Laura Lee on a design project. I wanted a completely different look for our dining room and I knew Laura Lee was the perfect designer to hire! She listened to my list of wants/wishes along with my budget and came up with the most beautiful design plan. The plan included fabulous grasscloth wallpaper, two styles of custom draperies and upholstery for my existing dining room chairs. Once again, Laura's execution, attention to detail and follow through of the design plan were unparalleled. In the end our family has a beautiful dining room that is family-friendly, yet perfect for entertaining. This incredible space truly reflects our family's unique personality. I could not be happier with the beautiful results of working with Laura Lee Home. Laura was so incredibly helpful at guiding us through a major bathroom renovation of a bad 1980's remodel in our lovely old 1930's home. She made the whole process seamless from start to finish. In the midst of our hectic schedules, I was able to rely on Laura to keep things moving smoothly...on target and on budget. Her level of professionalism, timeliness, and her ability to communicate and work with our contractor were extremely valuable assets. I started the process with a very loose idea about the design and Laura was able to help me clarify my ideas so she could effectively and efficiently guide us through the multitude of choices to deliver the exact look and feel we wanted to create. We wanted an updated master bathroom that would capture the elegance and charm of our beautiful old tudor home and Laura definitely delivered on the design! From the beautiful 1930's vintage mini chandelier, to the mosaic floor and marble tiles, and even a charming new window seat she carved out, our new bathroom captures hints of a by-gone era yet delivers all the modern conveniences we desired.
