Lee Douglas Interiors

To be sure, a remodeling project can be daunting. For us, we needed someone to be objective in making decisions to have a remodeled kitchen cohesive to the rest of our home’s interior. Gen from Lee Douglas was accurate and patient when offering ideas. We sometimes would ask for alternate products from her first offerings, then we would often return back to her original design. We needed someone to be organized and proficient when coordinating the talented and trustworthy subs. Even when a specific project met with a “redo”, Gen was super in getting the correct project going again and always with a calm demeanor, reassurance and smile. We love our new kitchen. We also had hardwood installed throughout the first floor. We now have a relaxing entertaining home which has the look of having always been in original house.

We are enthralled with our bathroom remodel. Very happy that we could get a walk-in shower in the space we had along with a big linen closet. I love the fact that it is so easy to keep clean. Jen was outstanding to work with, always upbeat and was quick to follow up with us if we had questions or concerns. Thanks, Lee Douglas.

Gen took the time to ask about styles and/or colors that we liked and then did a great job coordinating the entire project. She was great at 'handholding ' to reassure us as the project moved along. We love the end result!

Lincoln is our home away from home, and where we go to spend time away from the ball park. When we built our Lincoln home, Lee Douglas took the time to get to know us and captured our true style. They produced a plan that actually worked for us and looks amazing. That is what sold us on never doing a project without Lorele and Meg from Lee Douglas again, so Kansas City has become their new stomping ground! They helped us find and completely redesign our Kansas City home, then surprise a baby girl. They designed an addition for her that couldn’t be more perfect, and it looks like it has been part of the house the whole time. Our next project is in the works and is our final landing spot in KC. But before we even called the contractor, we called Lee Douglas. They capture our true selves and turn our house into our home every time. Lorele worked on my last two houses and is currently working on the house I'm building. Can't say enough good things about her ability to see things that the average person would never think of and her ability to put things together so that the end product is absolutely beautiful.

Working with Rick and Gen was stress free, we had an incredible experience. We built a house and they were involved with every step of the process, from creating the floor plan to furnishing it. They were always there when I had a question and made me feel at ease. Their taste and style was spot on, like they knew exactly what I wanted every step of the way. Rick's eye for detail is incredible from paint and stain colors to counter tops and cabinet design, finishing it off with fixtures, lighting, accessories and furniture.

The details make the design, and that is the philosophy of Lee Douglas Interiors. In 2014, a friend recommended Lee Douglas Interiors to help me redecorate the interior and exterior of my house, which my grandparents had built and lived in for 40 years. I was nervous because I had never used a designer, but we discussed my likes and dislikes, and what made me feel happy. The result was that they transformed a 1,200 square foot, modest 1959 ranch house (with a badly designed breezeway/garage addition) into an Old World European cottage that I absolutely love. They hire experienced and talented subcontractors, which was a huge relief to me, and use quality materials and furnishings. They are always friendly and available and ready to listen to my ideas. And a most important thing is that I trust them, and feel that they have my best interests at heart and do everything they can so that I will love my home. This wonderful experience has been life-changing, and they have taught me so much. They believe that all components are important to the overall design of a home; from a couch pillow to a roof. I am still consulting with them for advice on little touches here and there.

My wife and I absolutely loved working with Abby from Lee Douglas Interiors. Our new home looks amazing and it is in big part because of the choices that she helped us to make. Abby really helped us narrow down our ideas and made the process so much more enjoyable compared to how overwhelming choosing a new home would have been on our own. We really had fun shopping for our selections with Abby. Countertops, paint colors, tile, wood floors, everything looks awesome! Thanks!

Lorele and Meg are AWESOME!! We had such a great experience building our house. They were intuitive and careful of our needs, and gave us great guidance. We had built a home in the past without a designer and couldn't believe the difference. Because we were busy with work and family, we let our builder made the decisions, and regretted it when we had to remodel and change SO many things. With Lee Douglas having products available onsite, we had unique selections in lighting, flooring and paint - under budget in most categories! Two of our children are building and after looking at other designer's work in the Parade of Homes, they would ONLY have Lee Doulas - even our son who lives in Texas!!

Clarissa and Ashley worked on our new home design from finishes to furnishings. Both were very helpful and we get many compliments on the look of our home. We couldn't be more pleased!
