Lexa Glade Design

We couldn't be happier with Lexa and her team. What began as needing help with floor and wall colors turned into a complete redo of our entryway, powder room and great room. The design team sat with us often to discern what we liked even if we didn't know ourselves. Colors, hues, traditional, classical or contemporary. They listened well and learned about us. When they returned with a floor plan that moved our dining area and added several features (a tambour wall and microcement bench) I was taken aback. The plan was wonderful, innovative and unique. We ended up going with just about everything she recommended. We also decided to purchase all new furniture. Lexa and her team sourced items from many vendors. They came back to us with three or four options for chairs, sofas, dining room table, lamps, etc. My wife and I took our time, went to some of the stores that carried these pieces and made our final decision. The design team saved us dozens of hours with their efforts. There were other 'value added' features to using Lexa. She came to our home while we were on a vacation and received two pieces that were being delivered. The banquette was made about a foot too long. It really didn't bother us. She insisted it wasn't right and had it picked up and made correctly. The same thing happened with a table we had made. It wasn't exactly what she wanted and sent it back to be corrected. Lexa fought for a credit with a vendor that I had already, with no luck, argued with. She won and the credit was ours. The Lexa Glade team was professional, friendly, listened to our needs and fun to work with. I would (will) use them again in a heartbeat.

Lex and team, especially Marlo, were fun to work with, they presented a design plan that matched the style we were looking for, and also found some really beautiful tile and countertop for our kitchen!

Lex helped me redecorate and remodel my living room and office. She really took the time to listen to my needs and helped me articulate my style and then developed a detailed plan and budget, giving me many options to choose from. We iterated through a number of different layouts before finalizing the plan. I am very happy with the result. The rooms are so much more functional and enjoyable to spend time in. We even incorporated some existing pieces which was nice. She was able to pick out items that I would never have thought of and they all came together perfectly.

Lex has such an incredible zest for connecting design and community. Not only does their work constantly astound me, the intention behind the business is so admirable. It’s apparent that every piece is sourced and placed with the utmost care and that extends to their relationship to the community around them. Lex truly is one of a kind with an amazing eyes and a deep passion. Anyone would be so lucky to work with them!

Working with Lex on a bathroom remodel was an amazing experience! She not only helped me narrow-in on the style/mood I desired, but opened my eyes to the cross-section of interior design and functionality. During the design process, she provided pros and cons of different options that were available within my preferred style objective. She was very gracious in creating design layouts that included options I was considering--even those she advised against--so I could see firsthand why they either didn't suit the physical space or didn't align with how I intended to use it. Lex was very engaged in listening to my goals and patiently guided me through choices when I felt stuck and unsure. She is professional, but not intimidating; honest, but not harsh. Extra points for her being such a cool person, too!

I worked with Lex on a first-floor renovation, and overall had a great experience. I had a flood and had to gut the first floor. Insurance didn't cover and the budget was extremely tight. She really understood my style and brought a lot of creativity to the project. I appreciated her effort to stick to the budget, which I know isn't always easy when you're juggling design and execution. There were a few bumps along the way—what projects don't have bumps—despite that, the end result looks great and feels very "me," which is the most important thing. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a designer who listens and delivers thoughtful, stylish spaces.

Lex has such an impeccable eye for design and I could not be happier how with my place looks. She asked the right questions and helped me define my style, even when I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted. Lex is extremely attentive and empathetic. She is thoughtful and deliberate and goes to great lengths to understand and address the client's physical and emotional needs. She is an excellent project manager and problem solver, and meets any roadblock (of which there can be many when dealing with construction) with logical and pragmatic solutions. She has a great eye for color and encyclopedic knowledge of 20th century design. Highly recommend.

We hired Lex to re-design our primary bathroom. Our home is over 100 years old and the bathroom has some funky angles from the roof line. Lex embraced the challenge of creating a beautiful and highly functional space. She chose materials, patterns, and colors that we never would have thought of ourselves and it all came together like it was meant to be. We are so happy with the result, it's like showering in a spa every morning. On top of her inspiring design skills, Lex is an absolutely wonderful human. We weren't the easiest clients to work with (indecisive and limited budget) but Lex stuck with us wholeheartedly and was professional every step of the way.

Lex is great! She has helped our family in so many ways. We were lucky enough to work with her on our new construction and forever home in Naperville.
