With over twelve years of experience in luxury, modern design and a background in fine art and collectibles, Lexa Glade offers a wide range of interior design services. She designs, she builds, and she decorates. Specializing in the colorful, the curious, the eclectic, and the bespoke, no project is too big or small. Lex and her team work inclusively and holistically to prioritize the needs and narratives of their clients first. Lex also works as a community-based doula. This enriches her ability to empathize, support, advocate, and creatively problem-solve – qualities that shine through in every project. Lex keeps very close bonds with her clients and community. She obtained her BA in English Language and Visual Art from the University of Chicago, and carries professional appellation from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Lexa Glade proudly serves communities from Northern Illinois to Southern Wisconsin, as well as the Midwest region more broadly.

I worked with Lex on a first-floor renovation, and overall had a great experience. I had a flood and had to gut the first floor. Insurance didn't cover and the budget was extremely tight. She really understood my style and brought a lot of creativity to the project. I appreciated her effort to stick to the budget, which I know isn't always easy when you're juggling design and execution. There were a few bumps along the way—what projects don't have bumps—despite that, the end result looks great and feels very "me," which is the most important thing. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a designer who listens and delivers thoughtful, stylish spaces.

Lex has such an impeccable eye for design and I could not be happier how with my place looks. She asked the right questions and helped me define my style, even when I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted. At first, moving into a new place and having a blank canvas felt overwhelming, but she made the process so easy, and I felt lighter the more we worked together. My place is now colorful and bright, and it feels like home. Highly recommend Lex!

Lex is extremely attentive and empathetic. She is thoughtful and deliberate and goes to great lengths to understand and address the client's physical and emotional needs. She is an excellent project manager and problem solver, and meets any roadblock (of which there can be many when dealing with construction) with logical and pragmatic solutions. She has a great eye for color and encyclopedic knowledge of 20th century design. Highly recommend.

I have been working with Lex for almost a year now and have been very happy with the work her company has done. Lex is extremely organized, has great attention to detail, and provides attentive project management. Marlo designed this amazing cat wall that my cats love and use every day. We hired Lex to re-design our primary bathroom. Our home is over 100 years old and the bathroom has some funky angles from the roof line. Lex embraced the challenge of creating a beautiful and highly functional space. She chose materials, patterns, and colors that we never would have thought of ourselves and it all came together like it was meant to be. We are so happy with the result, it's like showering in a spa every morning. On top of her inspiring design skills, Lex is an absolutely wonderful human. We weren't the easiest clients to work with (indecisive and limited budget) but Lex stuck with us wholeheartedly and was professional every step of the way.

I reached out to Lex to create some custom furnishings for my home. For each piece, I had a specific idea in my head, but when it came to materials, logistics, and artisans I didn’t know where to start. She quickly refined my ideas and put together a stellar group to handle everything I needed. It was a pleasure working with such a talented designer who truly cares for her clients. Lex is great! She has helped our family in so many ways. We were lucky enough to work with her on our new construction and forever home in Naperville. She helped us with paint, wallpaper, furnishings (all unique and special), accessories etc. She was always very thoughtful and patient with us through the process, and impressed us with her work ethic and attention to detail! Lexa has helped me tremendously in remodeling my entire 1959 home. Despite there being a lot of "hurry up and wait" and hastily made decisions on our end to keep more structural things going, she's been able to rebound and work around what we have. I look forward to continuing to work out all the more fun details with Lexa like tile choices and wall colors to runners and furniture.
