If you are beginning a new build, Linda is invaluable to your project. Moving to Asheville from CA, we began a build without proper design assistance, that set our project back. Once Post Cards from Paris came on board, she knew just how to work with our project manager and help make our vision a reality. Linda not only has a great design eye, but she is WONDERFUL to work with. It helps to have a patient, kind and funny team player to work along side during the craziness of a build! Her many years in the design and retail business gives her the resources to find all the elements you might need to create a unique space. We are very grateful to have found her!

We decided to build a second home in the mountains near Asheville NC on two acres of land we had owned for several years. We selected an architect and builder and Postcard From Paris was recommended by the Builder. We live in Florida, still work at least part time so would only be able to visit the location and contractors occasionally. It was important that we selected a designer that could provide insight as to final architectural design, interior design ideas/components and recommendations on proven subcontractors in critical areas. We are now basically done with that process and a few months from CO. Linda has been a valuable and critical asset to our TEAM. She has helped from the re-design of architectural plans of certain rooms to selection of cabinets/tiles/lighting, meeting with subcontractors and much more. Linda always makes herself available, listens to your input and take great pride in getting involved in all details.

I met Linda McDougald, who owns Postcard from Paris, a full-service interior design firm, in January, 2019. I had purchased a home in The Cliffs Communities in Landrum, SC and was looking for an interior designer to help me complete some renovations to the property. Linda’s firm is very well known in the Carolinas and was referred to me by various professionals. Having worked with interior designers in the past from New York and Florida, I had fairly high expectations of what I was seeking in a design firm. One that could share my vision, work professionally and creatively, knew the value of time constraints and cost analysis, and was willing to go “that extra mile”. Linda and her team exceeded all my expectations!! From the very first site meeting, Linda was completely on board with my vision and brought to the table her unique insights and vast experience! The actual design process flowed smoothly and Linda’s choice of materials, textures, scale of furnishings, etc. all pulled together to create a very beautiful home. But what sets Linda apart from other interior designers, is her empathy, kindness, and spirit!

Linda McDougald has somehow mastered the combination of exquisitely honed design talent that only comes from decades of experience, with the warmth and easy personality of a long-time friend. We contacted her to help with a project in the Asheville area because we needed someone who understands this unique area and has experience designing a home in keeping with the surroundings. Her portfolio of projects in this area convinced me to call. We bought a house that required a total rework of every surface and needed someone who is comfortable with the full process. From construction work to flooring and lighting to paint and finishes as well as furnishings and accessories, she has created an absolutely beautiful space for our family. I reached out to Ms. McDougald a couple years ago for help with crown moulding after seeing photo's of the kitchens she's designed/decorated on Houzz. I was perplexed about what size would look best. She was so kind to respond timely with great advice. I couldn't be more pleased about how our crown moulding and kitchen turned out and we receive so many compliments. If I lived in SC and was building a new home, I would hire Linda McDougald in a heartbeat!

I was very pleased with the work Ashton Hantjis did on my extreme renovation project in Bradley, SC. The first time we met, I could tell she shared my passion for old homes and architecture, and would be a great fit for my project. She was able to take the behind-the-scenes, style-advisory approach I wanted, and was able to give me great advice. We communicated very easily over the phone, through email, and using Pinterest for inspiration. It will still be a few months before I am able to see my final result, but I know it will be fantastic!
