We simply could not do this without her. She has super hero status in my book. She deserves a cape! Or wings. Or both!

If you are beginning a new build, Linda is invaluable to your project. Moving to Asheville from CA, we began a build without proper design assistance, that set our project back. Once Post Cards from Paris came on board, she knew just how to work with our project manager and help make our vision a reality. Linda not only has a great design eye, but she is WONDERFUL to work with. It helps to have a patient, kind and funny team player to work along side during the craziness of a build! We decided to build a second home in the mountains near Asheville NC on two acres of land we had owned for several years. We selected an architect and builder and Postcard From Paris was recommended by the Builder. We live in Florida, still work at least part time so would only be able to visit the location and contractors occasionally. It was important that we selected a designer that could provide insight as to final architectural design, interior design ideas/components and recommendations on proven subcontractors in critical areas. We are now basically done with that process and a few months from CO. Linda has been a valuable and critical asset to our TEAM. She has helped from the re-design of architectural plans of certain rooms to selection of cabinets/tiles/lighting, meeting with subcontractors and much more. Linda always makes herself available, listens to your input and take great pride in getting involved in all details.

I met Linda McDougald, who owns Postcard from Paris, a full-service interior design firm, in January, 2019. I had purchased a home in The Cliffs Communities in Landrum, SC and was looking for an interior designer to help me complete some renovations to the property. I was very pleased with the work Ashton Hantjis did on my extreme renovation project in Bradley, SC. The first time we met, I could tell she shared my passion for old homes and architecture, and would be a great fit for my project. She was able to take the behind-the-scenes, style-advisory approach I wanted, and was able to give me great advice. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Moe Draz of Linda McDougald Design|Postcard from Paris on the construction of my new home in Charleston, SC. At the beginning of the project, Moe took the time to gauge my likes and dislikes as well as understand the budget for my home. He encouraged choices that I would never have made on my own but absolutely loved in the house, he accompanied me to each supplier’s showroom where his expertise made the whole experience less overwhelming, and he promptly responded to any question I had along the way. I've been working with Jena from Postcards for the last 4 months on a total overhaul on an older gutted home. I was apprehensive because I don't work well with others and can be particular; however, I've been very happy with Jena's choices. She's young but talented. I feel she listens well to what I like and then guides my choices so that it's a better choice of what I like. She doesn't hesitate to tell me if an idea I have isn't right which I appreciate. I've reached a point when now I'll say, " Jena- you choose and let me know your decision." This is huge for a controlling person like me who likes to pick out my own presents.

Very poor service. We completely furnished a 9,000 sq. ft. house thru Postcards. It's the 8th home we've built and had by far the worst experience. They would set up a meeting or call and not show up. The explanation would be, "I forgot." After being told for months that they'd take care of the mattresses, my grandsons slept on the floor last night. (We got our CO 8 days ago, and I'm infuriated that my grandsons had no bed). And, when too many problems occurring a few months ago, my wife called and asked Linda to call her. She didn't, and then our architect, who had recommended her, called her and asked that she call us. She didn't. We've spent over $600,000 with them and when the owner has no concern for taking care of the customer it permeates the organization. There are design firms that care about customers and do much better jobs.

Moving from Minnesota to South Carolina was quite a change for me. Finding a designer in South Carolina who had the vision and know-how to help me design our home here was a challenge.
