Lisa Scheff Designs

Lisa and her team at Lisa Scheff Designs have been a huge help to us across more than five years and two different houses! We worked with them on our previous house, where Lisa created the stylish yet serene transitional look we wanted for the living room and family room of our hundred-year-old house. We hated to leave her work behind when we built our new house but were able to bring some of her great choices along when we moved. On the new house, Lisa and her team helped us from square one. We started with a discussion of the outside look of the house, based on the floor plan and house style we had already decided. Lisa sat with me one day at the outset, and working together, we sketched out the entryway, the lines of the front of house and roofline, as well as the garage doors. For the deck/patio in the back, she helped us choose and design a special type of railing that maximizes our view over rolling hills and tobacco barns. Now it’s almost two years later and we totally love the way the outside of our house looks. It would never have happened without Lisa’s help. On the inside, Lisa helped us with design and colors, materials, and fabrics for almost everything! That includes all of the materials and design of the open plan living-dining-kitchen-breakfast areas, flooring, floor coverings, lighting, as well as bathrooms, including cabinetry, countertops/mirrors and fixtures. With her help, we chose some new furnishings, but Lisa also worked with us to integrate pieces from our previous house that we weren’t quite ready to give up. She coached us to think about and visualize what we wanted, working with us to create an interior that reflects our own tastes, preferences and budget. It’s been and will continue to be an ongoing relationship and process. After moving to the new house, we decided to take a breather and delay work on the bedrooms, and Lisa was completely agreeable to go at our pace. This summer, when we were ready to go again, she and her group dived right in, and now we’re working on completion of the master bedroom, including bed, bedding and draperies. We’re excited for the results! In short, we’ve been very happy with Lisa and her team at Lisa Scheff Designs. We are living with the results of their hard work, talent and creativity, and loving it every day.

Lisa and her team did an amazing job helping my parents downsize from a large home to a relatively small apartment. She quickly was able to assess my parents taste and recommended fabrics, furniture, wall coverings etc that really show an understanding of their taste and style. We all loved her aesthetic and she showed that she really understood what was important to my parents, her clients. Her entire staff was professional to the core. I can't recommend her highly enough. You'd be lucky to have her help!

Lisa and her team were amazing. They were able to create rooms for us that truly reflected our personalities, and the sense of warmth and comfort that we wanted to have in our home. The furniture is top quality, the fabrics are absolutely stunning and the pieces all come together beautifully, complimenting each other naturally. And, what's best is that the rooms are so liveable! Lisa Scheff listened to my needs and came up with a very creative kitchen floor plan that transformed an antiquated kitchen "add on" into a fully functional space with maximum storage. Her out of the box thinking helped me realize that removing a chimney was the key to creating the space I wanted - a solution I would not have come up with on my own. Armed with Lisa's floor plan, I was able to successfully orchestrate our kitchen renovation. I highly recommend her.

Hired for a great room- so impressed added three bedrooms. Lisa and Erin nailed it! They came into an empty space, asked me to take a few pictures of my former house, liked a few things on Houzz and then...they simply listened!! From design one all the way through the end project they got it. I have incredible spaces now. I will caution you only this, be patient. If you are in a rush they might not be for you. The project went over by about 4 weeks and caused some frustration but I would do it all over again seeing the end result.

My projects (living room, office & bedroom) are only half way to completion, but so far, my experience with Lisa and her team has been one of great confidence and fun. We hired LIsa to help us with solar shades for large windows at the law office. Her guidance choosing shade function, material and color and other details was along with professionalism, enthusiasm, and personal warmth. Lisa also willingly answered our questions as they occurred. The installation was completed with obvious experience and in a timely manner. We would highly recommend Lisa and her excellent work.

Lisa is warm, engaging, an excellent listener, and highly skilled as an interior designer. Although I know her on a friendly basis, from the moment she walked in my door, she got right to work and not a second of time was wasted. I was having a very difficult time choosing paint colors in my home--the greys I thought I wanted were turning every shade but grey. I ended up with a gorgeous coastal palette that made my existing art work and furnishings pop. I can't recommend Lisa more highly! She is now helping with window treatment ideas. She completely respects my budget!

We originally had one large bay window done. We were very pleased with the product and the service we received. We've since had Lisa back to do four more windows.

Lisa is fantastic! She has a great eye and is so good at knowing what I want, even when I'm not really sure myself! Lisa came up with a fireplace design that was just perfect for our new family room. She also, showed me samples, measured, ordered and installed new shades, she made it stress free! Lisa is very professional, and is careful to listen to you, she makes you feel like a friend!
