My current work is a culmination of 3 decades of life experience. I have traveled extensively. I have lived in San Francisco, New York City, Paris, Vietnam, and Durham. I was a design director of websities for two decades. I have trained as a yoga instructor. My superpowers are empathy, spatial geometry, and visual sensitivity, mixed with a strong dose of killer project management skills. I am energized and inspired by the puzzle of discovering my client’s bliss, and then creating a home that manifests that state. I am a catalyst, I am an empath. I am a lover of textures, colors, and story. And I love love love what I do.

Sheila is delightful to work with and provided excellent value for the dollar. We worked with Little Mangum Studio for almost three years covering our major house renovation, subsequent interior design, and decoration for our great room, kitchen, master bedroom, three bathrooms, foyer, halls, music room, screen porch, and deck. She took time to know us and our tastes and preferences. Sheila worked closely with our builder on room layouts, cabinet layouts, finishes, tile and tile layouts, countertops, down to details of drawer pulls, light fixtures, and paint color. She provided spot on guidance for where to spend money for impact and where to save money while ensuring a completed, cohesive look. Sheila's advice on upholstery, case goods, rugs, accent pieces, wall art, and decorative touches seamlessly included our family heirlooms. The furniture is comfortable, gorgeous, and durable. All these rooms work individually and together helping make our house our home. We learned a lot working with Little Mangum Studio and Sheila still has her eye out for just the right touches for our spaces. We highly recommend Little Mangum Studio.

From pre-planning to design drawings to decor, Sheila hit the mark in converting our garage to a contemporary one-bedroom, full bathroom, full kitchen apartment...all in 425 sq ft. It feels twice that size thanks to her creative understanding of space and light. She was efficient, on time, and worked with our budget and our style to make our "what if we converted the garage" idea into a reality. Sheila seemed to enjoy challenges by approaching them as possibilities and found creative ways to make them happen. Our apartment has been rented by a wonderful couple and their cat for nearly 4 years now. They love it. We love it. We have no regrets and would do it all over again!

Sheila at Little Mangum Studio helped us completely transform our downstairs with a major kitchen renovation that also included a renovation of our dining room, powder room, laundry room and side entry. She was super attentive to our priorities and helped us define our aesthetic, pushing us just a little out of our comfort zone with amazing results. Sheila was easy to work with and was truly visionary in figuring out how to maximize our small space and meet the functionality we needed, especially in our kitchen. I would recommend her without reservation to anyone seeking an exceptionally creative, hard working, impressively organized and thoughtful designer.

Sheila has a wonderful eye and is truly joyful to work with. She is especially talented at space planning and can turn an awkward space into something you would never have dreamed could be so well designed. She also has a great eye for styling a space once it has been renovated in a clean, original, and beautiful way.

Sheila is the best! She came up with an absolutely brilliant design for our kitchen. She listened deeply to what we were really saying and came up with something we had not even considered that met all of our needs. Her design made it so our kitchen connected to our garden which actually changed our lives - we not only have a beautiful light-filled kitchen, but we have a deck and a garden that we enjoy daily. We've had our kitchen for three years now and we still talk about how much we love it at least once a week. (That's weird, but true.)
