We recently moved from California to NC and had the pleasure of using LK Design to help us make our new 55+ house a home. Her taste and design is impeccable and her team is amazing. It was different for us to pick items out without touching or seeing them in person but Laura made it easy and fool proof for us. She and her team were responsive when we did have any issues and worked closely and timely to get them resolved. She made our house feel warm and comfortable as well as finished and cohesive. This was my first experience working with a designer, and so I appreciated how Laura laid out the entire process, timetable, and budget expectations. It's a leap to buy a room full of furniture sight unseen, but really, Laura and her team know what they are doing and we couldn't be happier with the result. They took our likes and dislikes seriously, and really transformed the space with the right color, lighting and a couple of small suggestions that brought it all together. I am delighted every time I walk into our very cool living room.

Laura and her team are amazing! After our previous interior designer passed away, we were anxious about choosing a new designer when we purchased our new home in 2024. After a number of interviews, we had a really good feeling about Laura and her team. We chose Laura and LK Designs and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made and expect Laura to be with us for many years to come. Our project was quite large and has taken more than a year to complete. We asked her to decorate our entire new home. We needed paint, wall paper, art, rugs, light fixtures, chandeliers, lamps, mirrors and lots of furniture and all sorts of house “stuff”. Laura listened and prepared an incredible power point presentation outlining each room to be decorated. She gave us multiple options for pieces of furniture and other items to fill the rooms and on one occasion searched high and low for a special chest we had seen and wanted for our dining area. Laura found it and we absolutely love it and everything we purchased for our new home. Laura chose quality furniture and beautiful fabrics that complement the design and style of our home. Our new chandeliers and light fixtures are beautiful and go so well with surrounding wall sconces and lamps. We could not be happier. Our bedroom and bathroom are magical and Laura’s selection of paint colors, wall paper, bed linens and the down topper for our bed make sleep come easy. Laura has great instincts and really listens when you tell her the look and feeling you are trying to accomplish. She was really great at helping both my husband and me come together when we would go in different directions. I cannot say enough good things about Laura and her team. They are always on time and always greet you with a smile. They work hard and always meet deadlines as promised. Laura is obviously very talented, creative, confident, smart and very kind. Alya, one of Laura’s assistants goes above and beyond to make sure deliveries occur on time and third party vendors are on top of things. Laura and her team not only provided incredible interior design services but also shared really great vendors for completing every job whether it be picture/mirror hangers, electricians, wall paper hangers, upholstery experts etc. They were all great! When I reached out to Laura, I was a little nervous as I'd never used the services of an interior designer before. We moved into an open-concept new build, and there were just too many blank spaces that were keeping the house from feeling like a warm home. I wanted functional design and textiles that could stand up to cat claws and I didn't want to spend a fortune on any of it. Laura came up with so many creative options and was completely up-front about pricing, delivery time for materials, and what I could expect on installation day. She helped us find custom chairs for our dining table (which are comfortable and easy to clean), created a lovely powder room, suggested we use wallpaper to soften the somewhat stark white living room shelves, and more. My photos don't do these changes justice, but we would highly recommend Laura and her team. She will design based on your needs, tastes, and budget. She's never pushy. And her communication is excellent.

This design professional has a stylish solution for everything. Laura is bold, confident, and has a winning process that will create the home interior of your dreams. My situation was not ideal for Laura in that I already had a partially furnished space and my house is a log home - somewhat out of the main stream. However, she gained enthusiasm and momentum as she guided me through the design phase. Laura's execution of our plan for my space was flawless. She transformed a capacious 2-story great room into a cozy, warmly functional, and visually appealing living space that I now love. Thank you Laura!

My family recently purchased a home in Raleigh and undertook a major remodel of the downstairs. We were already working with a general contractor; however, we were in desperate need of an interior designer to help solidify our design decisions, pick light fixtures, and assist with a bathroom design. We reached out to Laura at the recommendation of a friend, and she did not disappoint! Laura helped us select all our downstairs lighting and paint colors and she helped us design the coolest half bath ever! She found the dramatic wallpaper we were looking for and even had a wallpaper installer. We worked with several people throughout our remodel and Laura was by far our favorite. She is responsive, efficient, organized, and fun! We plan to use Laura again for future renovations and would highly recommend her to anyone who may be undertaking a home project—big or small. What a wonderful experience we had with Laura, Alya and the entire LK Design Team! For almost a year we had the pleasure of working with Laura. Her tremendous sense of style, guidance and dedication gave us the home of our dreams. In 2023 we bought a brand new home in Cary. I brought very little from our previous home so I knew I needed a Designer with great vision and style. Laura exceeded that goal. From the initial consult to the delivery of the furniture, every encounter was professional and so much fun :) Since I liked so many design styles, I was very indecisive on how to proceed. Laura was very patient in helping me narrow down what would work best and look best in our space. From the custom wall unit, window treatments, light fixtures and Art work, Laura and her team of contractors made our house look like something out of a magazine but comfortable and welcoming enough to call “home”. Working with Laura and her team was a wonderful experience! She turned what felt like an akward living room into a functional and beautiful space. From the custom window treatments to the artwork, she really took the time to listen carefully to our needs (including our budget!), creating a truly customized and cohesive design. We would highly recommend and use LK Design again in the future.

We wanted to bring color and symmetry to a boring living room and we asked Laura to help. I was thinking about built in bookshelves to create symmetry, but our room is not that big. Laura came up with a fabulous idea to make our fireplace wall look like it had built ins using moldings, paint, wallpaper and some beautiful reclaimed wood floating shelves and cabinets. Her contractors did a great job of mimicking our fireplace molding which tied the whole piece together. And they were even able to give us what we wanted most - a custom window seat! We absolutely love the space, the bright pops of color (she coined our style "happy eclectic", lol) and all the added storage that we never even knew we needed. Laura and Alya were prompt, professional and a joy to work with. We highly recommend LK Design!

LK Design - Laura is a phenomenal Interior designer. Her interior design services took our preferences and converted our vision to a beautiful reality! She transformed our vacant living room to a vibrant cozy place and designed the perfect Pooja (prayer) nook. She worked her magic in refreshing our Family Room and our Dining Room. Laura managed the schedule with all the contractors very well and kept us informed about the timelines for each of the rooms/items. She incorporated unique design elements which truly reflect our personal style . She chose the perfect wallpapers, furniture, accessories and brought in the best contractors(wallpaper installer, window treatment installer, electrician, handymen & delivery crew) for all of the work needed. Work that was needed: a small remodel to close off a passage from Living to Family Room; Custom cabinetry for Pooja (prayer) nook; Wallpaper installation; Custom Window treatments; electrical wiring - installing focus lights, chandeliers etc. We would strongly recommend Laura and plan to sign her up for the next remodel project in our house!
