Loczi Design team creates beautiful rooms with an eye for complimenting color palettes, unique patterns & materials. I love how they compose a room with fine art as well as supporting local artists within the vicinity of the home, adding to the unique sense of place. But what I appreciate most about their work is the sensitivity in creating intentional ambience in each room of a home. The homeowners personal story and fingerprint is carried throughout the home, sharing the beautiful unique story of their life.

We used Loczi for 3 renovations of our home and each one came out really great! From the design consultation / ideation phases to the material selection and liaising that Catrina did with the general contractors she secured for us, we were really pleased with the final outcome. It can be scary to try and navigate the home renovation process given the high costs in San Francisco and horror stories you hear about projects that go sideways, but we experienced nothing but great service and a spectacular outcome. Even during COVID, when one of our renovations was at its peak, the work didn't stop, all of the workers were able to stay safe / healthy and the project was on time with the highest quality you can get. If you're looking for a company to trust to help you transform your home, look no further!

LOCZI Design did an amazing job on our kitchen remodel, totally transforming the original 1941 space beyond our wildest expectations. We loved working with Catrina. She's incredibly detailed, thoughtful, collaborative and a powerhouse when it comes to solving problems and pushing projects forward -- in other words, a total pro. Her design expertise was invaluable. She helped steer us away from ideas we would have regretted later ("explosions of white") and got us thinking about the space differently, in relation to the flow with other rooms. The pictures speak for themselves and a more than a year later, we're still stoked with the results. Well before the kitchen demo when our contractor came on the scene, we had a solid, well-thought out plan with all the details (drawings, measurements, materials, etc.) meticulously organized in one handy binder. Nothing left to interpretation, no winging it. The whole experience was worth every cent and we can't recommend Catrina and LOCZI Design enough.

Paige, Catrina and Jennifer did an awesome job designing two bathrooms for us, and shepherding the projects through. One of the bathrooms is an odd shape, and had some limitations (a slanted ceiling, a post that couldn’t be removed, etc). We were impressed with what they came up with in spite of these challenges. The finished bathrooms both look great. We especially love the tile in each. The team was very easy to work with. Would love for them to tackle our whole house!!!

Our project was the conversion of a 60-year-old SOMA warehouse to a single family residence. Our architect made extensive use of curves and angles in the design to convert the blocky, cubical space into a flowing, fluid experience. We engaged LOCZIdesign to design our master bedroom suite, to provide guidance on colors and finishes, and to furnish our home. The design goal was ‘warm industrial’, and required a master designer’s touch to coordinate these two inherently conflicting aesthetics. An additional requirement was to furnish the space so that parties of anywhere from 4 to 40 could be accommodated, while maintaining an inviting and intimate environment. The breadth and depth of LOCZIdesign’s experience was breathtaking. Paige and her team spent the time to truly understand what we wanted to accomplish, helped us develop our ideas and expanded our vision, and developed a selection of options that helped us hone in on the look that was just right. Coordination with our Architect and General Contractor was professional and respectful. Where appropriate, Paige and her team challenged ideas which were inconsistent with our design goals. The resulting discussions and interactions helped everyone work together to deliver a result that was well above our expectations. The master bath (pictured below) was an absolute tour-de-force. The combination of a Golden Spiral wall, custom Italian tile artwork, and the selected amenities resulted in a calm, rejuvenating retreat away from the busyness of the city. We are very pleased with the interior design of our home, and continue to use LOCZIdesign for the ongoing evolution of our design aesthetic.

I’d like to give my highest praise to LOCZIdesign, specifically Mike, who transformed my living room from drab to fab in a few short weeks. Mike took the time to get to know me and understand my style. He was very customer-focused and figured out quickly what would and would not work for me. He introduced me to several vendors in San Francisco that I had never heard of before, where we found unique and creative items for my space. We may have even coined our own design theme “mid-century rustic” (trademark pending). We had a fun and collaborative experience and I will definitely use LOCZIdesign for my upcoming kitchen and master bathroom remodel.

We LOVE our remodeled bathroom. It was originally a split-bath with very little, and awkward storage layout. Everything was re-configured to allow for new storage and to maximize the use of the space. It feels much bigger now despite being a small space. Loczi did a great job of taking our style and design requests and providing options that met our taste. They recommended and oversaw the contractor who did the work and helped to ensure a high quality finished product.

I bought a brand new place in San Francisco in June 2012 and engaged Paige Loczi (after talking to quite a few designers) to design and set up my place from scratch - I moved in with just my clothes and my shoes, everything else was Paige's domain. I wanted a designer who would take the time to understand my taste and my style and reflect it in the design, while being unafraid to push me. Paige spent many hours getting to know me, and that really shows in what she and her team have accomplished. I wanted a bold, colorful, vibrant experience, a home that I would be delighted spending time in while still being proud to welcome visitors, and Paige has delivered far beyond my expectations. Paige and team were excellent at gauging my style, but they also challenged me to expand my vision, and, almost invariably, I found myself agreeing with them. They were also extremely responsive, took soup to nuts responsibility for the tiniest of details, and were meticulous in their execution. Paige also has an excellent network of collaborators to help with related activities such as art selection and landscape design. Thanks to her, I have not just the colors and the furniture that light up my house, but also the art that brings it warmth, and beautiful gardens on my patios, a living wall, and a green roof.
