Lorraine Vale gave me the time and the use of her experience to make my new house a home. Lorraine scheduled and attended our appointments keeping track of everything for us. She was extremely helpful with the multiple tile visits creating the drawings just how I wanted the layout.

I am the second owner and Lorraine did the design work for the first owners as well. I was initially attracted to the home not only for the standard to which it was maintained, but also by the exceptional furnishings. The rooms were beautiful and the house a showplace. Prior to making the move here, like most of us, I had furniture which I needed to keep or sell. I called Lorraine and sent pictures and she was kind enough to make suggestions just based on the size and style of the old furnishings and her familiarity with my new home. The initial conversation began with an overview of my decor, my favorite pieces and what might be worth moving. Those decisions are never easy but her advice was invaluable. Once here, Lorraine and I met for the first time and our meeting went well. I left with a feeling of confidence. Lorraine is charming and organized, well prepared and very conscientious. My thoughts for her were rather explicit. I needed someone who could avoid the mistakes that I might make myself and the project needed to be seamless throughout. I wanted my Michigan furniture to be a coherent and lucid part of the project and the new selections to bring in excitement and style. Lorraine read me from the beginning. I have been happy and delighted with every recommendation and all of the furnishings. I was overjoyed with each new piece and saw each piece as part of my personal conception and our mutual vision. The terms for purchasing new items, her design fee and administrative fee are written in detail and explained in the contract. Lorraine has followed each proposal with an invoice and has been prompt with installations. She has excellent resources and assumes complete responsibility to see that the work is done right without exception. Any minor issues have been resolved to my complete satisfaction and she has earned my trust that the end result will meet my high standard of perfection. The selection process when building a new home is extremely daunting. Making the right choices in the beginning can save thousands of dollars in the long-run and, more importantly, make the process much less stressful. Lorraine has been indispensable in guiding us through this process. This is not our first custom home construction project. Knowing how difficult the process is, we leapt at the chance to use Lorraine to coordinate the design and selection process for our home. Her experience, talent and patience have been really exceptional. To anyone who thinks they can do this themselves, I say "good luck". With local suppliers and the internet, one is faced with (literally) hundreds of decisions and thousands of possibilities in the selection process. All of which need to made on a timely basis. And don't forget the budget! From the big issues like the kitchen design to the tiny details like door hardware, her input has been invaluable. As Harry Nilsson once wrote: "Having a point is every direction is like having no point at all". Lorraine provided the focus and advice that narrowed our selections to a much more manageable number, saving us both time and money.

LGV was brought on as Design Coordinator during the construction of our custom home. She has been a crucial part of all selections and coordination of all design elements. Lorraine's ability to size up our needs and wants even when we can't articulate them ourselves is a true gift. She has made what could have been a long, arduous process very enjoyable.

As with many home remodeling projects, ours started out with a few simple upgrades and blossomed into a renovation that involved every room of the house and required us to move out for two months. Lorraine and her staff were with us every step of the way, making suggestions, guiding us through the process and hand-holding when it became overwhelming. They met with contractors and obtained competitive bids for the project. They met with subcontractors at the house when we were unavailable. They presented design ideas and options. All were fabulous. And while we didn't automatically accept every concept presented, the options were either tweaked or completely revamped to suit our needs and our tastes. Someone was available to consult with us on fabric selection (LGV has an extensive library of fabrics!), paint colors, rugs, tile, etc. For items like mirrors, fixtures and hardware, a sampling of options within our budget was presented for us to make a final decision. The decisions actually became more difficult as we progressed because they had learned our taste so well that all the options were wonderful! We are now in the final stages of the project. Lorraine continues to assist with artwork placement and final details. We are thrilled with the results and happily recommend LGV to anyone who asks.

I have worked with Lorraine and her team on several projects. Lorraine is able to take any living space whether new constuction or renovation and incorporate her vision and impeccable style and end up with a warm, comfortable living space. I worked with Lorraine Vale from 2008 to 2009 on interior design of my new house. She worked with me within my budget and really helped me furnish this new home as a contemporary, beach house on Kiawah Island, South Carolina..just south of Charleston Lorraine was great at getting most of the furnishings and helping with colors and overall room design I have since used Lorraine's help and will continue to do so in the future.

We've used Lorraine on three different occasions. Her designs have always been exactly what we were looking for and she does a great job interfacing with suppliers and contractors, if you need her to. When we first considered an addition to our house, we were going to design it ourselves. We decided to hire Lorraine when we started to struggle with all those important details. She made some great suggestions on every aspect of the design and was involved throughout the entire job. The result was far superior to anything we would have come up with ourselves, and well worth the extra cost to bring her company onboard. Since that project we've used LGV on two more and will never consider looking elsewhere in the future.

Lorraine Vale was our decorator and advisor during our building experience in Mount Pleasant SC. She spent so much time and energy in our project to make sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted in the finished project. Not only did she assist me with all the choices of granite, pulls for drawers, appliances, floors, furniture, determining the style that matched our personality, hardware, etc. she was always available and eager to help us communicate our desires with our builder. We recently move from a condominium into a town house. Lorraine was contracted to decorate the new home. She worked with furniture and fixtures from the condominium and adapted it to our new home. She added a few pieces including rugs and porch furniture, suggested window treatments and changed some wall colors. The result is a very warm and cheerful home. This is the second time we have used this company. Lorraine completely decorated our condo while we were out of state. She is always available for questions and very open to any changes we want to make. Her choices reflect our lifestyle and tastes. We are just as pleased the second time around. Services included choosing paint colors for our home and painting services; wallpaper for dining room and powder room; installation of various light fixtures; carpeting for master bedroom and tv room; draperies for dining room and master bedroom; refinishing and reupolstery of dining room chairs; rug for dining room; purchase of lamp and mirrors. Since we had just moved into our home, the project also included using our existing furniture, etc. in a creative way. All work was done in a very professional and timely manner. Lorraine and her staff were a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased with the results of this project.

Lorraine is a professional in every sense of the word. She has been able to take my thoughts and translate them into beautiful designs that please both me and my husband. I used her in 2009 to design several areas in our house while we were living out of town. Since we were moving to the area I knew no one to hire to complete the job. Being a professional she was able to have access to places that I couldn't and didn't even know about. Lorraine was able to contact the right people and see the job through to the finish.She was also able to work within our budget. Then in 2011 I had some dining room furniture that needed to be refinished and reupholstered. Again Lorraine knew the right people to get the job done.
