Lucile Glessner Design

I have been working with Lucile for over 2 years on my extensive home remodel project in Palo Alto. I can honestly say that I would not have made it through this process without her! She is equal parts great designer and project manager and helped me (and my contractor!) stay on schedule during the height of the pandemic. She listens and learned my style (and budget!) so well that it often feels like she is reading my mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for any project.

Lucile was particularly instrumental in helping us to come up with the final layout for our bathrooms and kitchen, after we struggled for months with the design; she served as a great sounding board and helped us work through multiple subsequent decisions as well, particularly when my wife and I didn't exactly see eye to eye. She is pragmatic and adaptable to her clients' tastes and budgets, focused on function equally well as form, but she is also comfortable sharing her opinions. We very much appreciate her contemporary style and her strong relationships with her vendors, which has continued to be a great asset for us.

I first met Lucile when a previous client commissioned her for the interiors after construction was complete. Although I was not involved - it was lovely to see how well she picked up on the style of the house and her designs complemented my architectural vision. Recently, as the architect for a 3500 sf whole house renovation, I invited Lucile Glessner Design to collaborate on the interiors. Lucile and her team merged seamlessly, picking up on client concerns, builders schedule and the architects vision. Her designs and selections are thoughtful, taking into consideration practicality, longevity and maintenance. Lucile is creative, professional and immediately responsive. Her designs are always new, with great attention to detail. Her dedication to the work shows - she and her team were on site at least once a week to ensure installation followed her details and that schedules were met. The photo shows the painstaking detail in creating a tiled wall that responds to the clients love of optical illusion. In addition to all that - she is fun to work with, with always a positive attitude and a good word to everyone involved. I look forward to more collaboration in the future!

Lucile and her team helped us create the living/family room we always wanted! They were so creative and amazing at understanding our needs with 2 small children. The scale that they were able to achieve couldn't be more perfect. The furniture and lighting that they chose for our room was something we wouldn't have been able to do on our own. My husband and I are so happy we hired Lucile and team! We will definitely work with them again.

What a pleasure it was to work with Lucile. My Eichler remodel was far more detailed than I had ever imagined. Lucile and her partner Eve came up with some very creative ideas how to achieve everything that I wanted, while also being mindful of cost and maintaining the integrity of the home. We hired Lucile and Eve (her awesome partner) for our Eichler renovation in 2016. They are a great choice for both quality and value. Lucile and Eve did an excellent job on our plans. They provided exceptionally detailed architectural drawings and got us an over the counter permit. We really enjoyed working with them and found their recommendations for vendors to be also very helpful. Ex: We were looking hard for an LED linear pendant that fit our budget & style and they identified a supplier they had seen at a trade show that was fantastic.

Lucile is wonderful! I am doing a major remodel and Lucile and Eve helped me with the layout, made fantastic suggestions and created a set of plans that were a work of art! Their attention to detail, quick response time and high level of accuracy made the project fun and successful. My contractor has complemented their plans on several occasions. I especially appreciated the design elevations on the plans so I could envision the final project. They would come to the house with a laptop and make changes in the cad drawings so we were all on the same page and I would know right away if I liked a change. I can't say enough good things about them and would definitely hire them again for any future projects.

Hiring Lucile Glessner as a designer was one of the best decisions I made for our project, and I recommend her wholeheartedly. Our project involved a complete house re-build. Finally, as projects get complicated and difficulties sometimes arise, Lucile is the ultimate professional, able to work through challenges to find solutions that meet budget, design, timeline and construction requirements. Lucile Glessner is spelled 'par excellence'. Lucile definitely designs 'out of the box,' and she brings her unique perspective to every project I have seen or been a part of. My company had the pleasure to design interior landscaping for one of their uber cool office/headquarter projects. Lucile's erudite sense of color, and how materials combine, in even unexpected ways, is absolutely wonderful.
