We have lived in our home since 2002 and wanted to” love it” or “list it” so I reached out to several interior designers in the area. We narrowed it down to 2 and decided on Ranee based on her beautiful work featured on her website along with our in person consultation. We could not be happier with our investment all under her consultation and expertise. Our home is absolutely beautiful! Aside from her being as stunning as her work, Ranee is so talented and creative. She listened to our needs, recognizing our style, and budget, she created an atmosphere far better than we imagined! Ranee designed everything in our home including: custom kitchen, custom built-ins; custom stairway carpet. Ranee’s work covered everything from architectural design; wall color for each room, furniture design, lighting, custom drapes/pillows all the way down to the cabinet hardware. She is amazing at putting it all together by creating an elegant and functional atmosphere that we love!

Our experience working with Chic Interiors was very positive. We live in a 1960s ranch style home that had previous upgrades, but was in need of a new kitchen. We embarked on a kitchen remodel in August of 2012 with a general contractor on board who after the demolition was unable to complete to scheduled work. Since we are a couple with design and construction experience and had already developed the kitchen layout, selected the cabinets and appliances, we took a leap and decided to complete the project acting as the Contractor ourselves. As many projects tend to grow, so did ours from a kitchen upgrade to include a light renovation of 7 rooms and a laundry room gut and remodel. This became more time consuming than we thought and we realized we needed help to bring together all the great ideas into a cohesive design. We received a recommendation from a coworker who had recently finished a very successful kitchen remodeling project. We interviewed Ranee Gilbert of Chic Interiors, LLC to hear her ideas about how to pull all the elements of the design together for a finished look. In the interview, Ranee Gilbert focused on understanding our short term and long term goals for the home and worked with us to develop strategies for achieving the finished design. We really liked her refreshing ideas and her approach to achieving an updated appearance to the classic home. We connected with Ranee right away and were very excited about her insight into our project. We decided to bring on Ranee to help us heal the unfinished project and signed a contract with her for design services. Ranee’s process is included a survey of the interiors of the home and detailed review of the work that had already been completed. She triaged the needs and wants list and got started right away with the final selections of the countertop, sink, backsplash and finish hardware so that we could get the kitchen to be fully functioning-and that infused a new wave of momentum into our project. Thereafter, she provided design ideas for window treatments and elegant drapery fabric selections. Understanding our desire to move in about 5 years, she made recommendations that would help us appeal to future homeowners such as removal of wainscoting and dated trim work. She created a refreshingly updated look to our more traditional interior scheme with a new paint scheme for 7 rooms, new lighting fixtures and furnishings. Being a couple that remained very involved in the selections of materials and finishes, Ranee was always available to review our selections and integrate them into the design. She was readily available to provide advice about the finest of details, including the precise placement of the cabinet pulls and knobs, interior lighting placement and selections. Every question we tossed her way was met with a refreshing design solution. She is a wealth of interior design knowledge and has a talent for visualizing and transforming the look of interiors with successful results. I loved collaborating with Ranee on the design of our home and will continue to recommend her interior design firm to my colleagues and friends.

Ranee at Chic Interiors has created a beautiful home from a 20 year old house that needed updating. I hired her to consult on colors only.
